IT WORKS
Fair ship time. The ram chip works great in my retro 90s computer. Only ordered 1 to test. I will buy more from this seller. Thanks.

Works well
Worked well in improving the speed of a 10 year old Asus PC. Fired up the old box after it was shelved for about 4 years. It was only running a single 128 MB stick, and the internet would crawl or hang up completely, essentially making the computer useless. Now it's serviceable for simple internet use and running updated software. Streamed video still doesn't playback very smoothly, but checking email, social media, and general web browsing is workable. Will probably go ahead and replace the original 128MB stick with another of these to be running a smooth half-gig. I expect the improvement will be noticeable.

***** Excellent Double Sided Memory Module
It is logically double sided (and in implementation it is double sided too) which serves Intel PII/PIII era PCs with narrow addressing that have trouble recognizing beyond half the total memory amount on newer DIMM modules. Your machine will see all the memory installed on this DIMM and you'll be happy to fully upgrade the PC's RAM.

Will not work in my computer
Although the chips sets had the same UPC number they were apparently made by different manuf. When I installed into my computer it would recognize one chip set but not the other. I tried installing them by reversing the slots they were in , but still same problem. If only one chip set is installed it wil be recognized, no matter which one it is. Only difference I can see is that one chip set has a tag on it indicating it was made for a Dell computer and mine is a HP. Information on the labels of the chip sets does not match each other, which I am told by an IT Tech they should.

Doesnt work in a Dell computer
I would figure that if a computer uses a certain type of RAM stick, that any RAM stick of that type should work. However, I guess Dell computers are very , very picky about the hardware that goes into them. I dont know if the item I got was DOA or my legacy Dell POS is just too picky. But it didnt work. I did not contact the seller, therefore like I said, the item may have been DOA or my POS Dell is too picky, but I couldnt use it. I'll probably just try to get rid of it and other old legacy RAM sticks on craigslist to try to make a portion of my $ back.

A Good Upgrade...
I plugged these in and the "post" went thru the memory test without a problem. I got out my Memtest CD and tested each memory stick by itself, and these 256MB cards passed all of the tests, both individually and together. Even though outdated, they still work in older desktop systems.

Works
Got this for my over 10 year old Windows XP machine because it kept freezing up with heavy CPU usage. Good price for it with free shipping. Increasing the memory solved the problem so far. Or maybe it was because I blew away the 2 mm layer of dust that had settled over time on the CPU heatsink and fan.

Worked on my old Apple G4 power mac
Worked great on my old Apple G4 power mac bringing some old classic Apple back to life. The other reviews are correct the description says pc100 but it is pc133 ram. HMM I'm not sure what the difference is or if it really matters.
