How well does it work during a new england winter? Or is just for summer use?

As long as you check you freezing point and go below that the soil will be warm enough down bottom to work but the lid may crack

I can’t seem to get my dog to poop in this thing! Any tips?

Not sure if your question is a joke? Anyway, you still have to scoop poop, unfortunately, then you deposit it in the doggie dooley. If you do figure out how to get your dog to poop in a "toilet" so you don't have to scoop, please share your methods!!

Has anyone used in Georgia (Atlanta area) with the Georgia red clay dirt?

I’m in GA and do lots of landscaping. I am about to purchase this. What I plan to do is first find a spot where there’s the least amount of clay That would be where I was dumping grass cuttings. It will have broke down so the first foot ( I hope) is pourous soil. Then I would dig a bit deeper and wider than recommended I will toss out the big clay clumps and replace with peat moss.

Where should I place it? Can you smell the fecal matter when you walk by?

Put it in a convenient place where you won't constantly walk over it. No smell at all when closed and little smell when opened. Great product.
