Ortz NES Classic Edition Mini Controller [Turbo Edition] Rapid Buttons for Nintendo Gaming System [Nintendo NES] (Wireless)

I have tested some of this controllers for my NES mini before and I can tell that so far this is my favorite one.Sync process was easy, I did not notice a lot of input lag also did not have any kind of connections drop offs.Something that was interesting to me was the fact that this controller works on the SNES mini too, the only problem is that there is not X and Y buttons, this controller also work in virtual classics in the WII and WII U, now that was a nice surprise.I did not have the chance of testing the TURBO functions but it has quick access to the menu of the NES classic.Package is great, it comes with a micro USB and a manual easy to understand, everything is wrapped pretty well and does not look like a chinese ripoff product.In the past I have only used the nyko NES classic controller on my mini consoles, I can tell that the build quality in the Ortz NES does not feel ship.

One of the biggest problems with the recently released NES Classic (an awesome, enjoyable system) was its short, 3-foot cabled controller. This controller - the Ortz Gaming Wireless Controller for NES Classic Mini - sets you free from that frustration, giving you (what I feel like would be) the ultimate NES Classic controller experience. Not only does it look and feel like the old system (adding a turbo setting), but it is also incredibly easy to set up. There is no 'install' process other than plugging the receiver into your NES Classic, turning the system on, and hitting a button on your controller. I was playing through my first level of Mega Man 2 within seconds of turning the system on, and I was impressed with the seemingly zero lag time between inputs.The included instructions and verbiage were helpful, but could definitely use some updates, as they refer to it being for the Nintendo Wii system. That said, the controller still turns on the exact same way as it did for the Wii, so I get the lack of updates other than the reboxing.Finally, the turbo buttons are in a bit of an awkward place (directly above the A and B buttons). In a game like Mega Man 2, for instance, having turbo on the B button (upper left) while jumping normally with the A button (lower right) requires the user to angle their hand slightly higher to avoid hitting the outlying inputs. I figured it out pretty quickly, but just a note.Overall, this is an outstanding controller, and will be my primary / go-to controller for NES games on the Wii or NES Classic!

I purchased 2 of these and now I don't want them. The batteries start discharging as soon as you unplug them from the charger whether you use them or not they will be dead the next time you go to use them.You have to charge them before every use and the "Turbo button" sucks. It only works half the time and this is on both controllers I purchased.ANOTHER PIECE OF CHINESE GARBAGE THAT DOESNT WORK HOW IT WAS INTENDED.

I bought this item twice, and neither control worked. It never connected to the game console. Just kept the light flashing.

Bought 2 of these at one time. They came in the same Amazon box, one was new in the plastic inside the controller box with instructions, the second was in the bottom of the Amazon box, out of the plastic, dirty (obviously used), with no instructions, the remote box was ripped. Used these for about an hour and now the batteries are dead and they don't work.

So, I am not sure if we just received a dud. This controller works... when it wants to. When my husband first charged it, we could not get it to connect. After a while of messing with it (plugging it in and out, removing the receiver from the NES and putting it back, etc...), it finally started to work, but I cannot tell you what exactly we did to make it work. So far, so good. We do not use the controller heavily, so I am not sure how it would hold up to heavy use, but for our purposes, it seems to be working now. I am not 100% confident that it will always work when I want it to, but I will update my review if it's warranted.

I ordered this because my boy kept complaining that the controller cord for his NES Classic was too small. He likes to play it while sitting on the couch but the short cord did not allow that. This controller works perfectly. He can sit on the couch and play without the cord restricting him. He says there is no lag which is typically expected and he was happy with the battery life and ease of connecting it.

Had to return item, The male end of the charging cord is bigger than the female end of the port on the controller. Therefore You can not charge the controller. I did not bother to try and get another one, in my experience when one is bad all are bad. Do not buy this model or from this seller. Either try another Controller or maybe it is time to buy and Xbox or PS5...
