Great starter package!
***Update: After a few days of using them, I think they're awesome bottles. The only thing I want to let other parents know is that you have to squeeze the air out of the drop in before feeding your baby. These drop ins hold about 10oz of milk, my son for instance only drinks about 7oz. After turning the top of the bottle to the angled position, I just use two fingers to gently squeeze down on the drop in from the opening on the bottom of the bottle until the milk rises to the top of the nipple, then I give it to my son. This is the best way of knowing that your baby really isn't getting any air. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me or what, but the drop ins seem like they aren't 100% clean. Just to be sure, I just give them a quick rinse under the tap water before using. This is also a good thing to do anyway to make sure there's no holes in the drop in before you actually fill it with breastmilk or expensive formula. But overall, I still really like these bottles, and I've noticed my son hasn't been spitting up as much as he normally does. Original Post: My 10-month-old son was originally using the playtex ventaire "anti-colic" bottles. He has acid reflux and was colic when he was newborn. The playtex ventaire bottles were the only bottles that didn't have him screaming with gas pains after feeding him. Now that he's 10 months and isn't colic anymore, I decided to try out these playtex nurser drop-in bottles. So far he hasn't had any issues using them. And it's great for me because I spend soo much less time washing bottles and get to spend more time playing with my son. To make sure they don't leak, you have to turn and "click" both arrows together. This package was a great deal and came with 3 bottles, all with medium flow nipples, and also came with 15 drop-in liners to start you off. The bottles can also turn into an angled position which helps with colic. The open end on the bottle also allows you to click on the bottle cover during feedings so you won't misplace it. (Photos Included). Hope this helps!! :)

less washing, do not break like glass bottle and not too pricy.
I've brought many different brands of baby bottles, Dr. Brown, Avent, Tommy...I like to use them all for different stage. But I really love Playtex Drop-ins bottles, I used this for all 3 of my kids. The plastic bottle is hard to clean, so I always wanted to get the glass baby bottles but the glass ones are too fragile for my kids. So I really like the Playtex Drop-ins nurser, now with a better design. I also like it because i travel a lot with my kids, with the drop-ins Liners, I don't need to clean so many parts, and i know the bottle is clean and pre sterilized every time. safe me a lot of time. and i don't have to worry about my kids drop the bottle on the floor cause breakage. i did use the bag liners too, very easy to travel with doesn't take up a lot of space. but i like the pre form liner much better. i can prepare bottle much faster. I would recommend Playtex Drop ins nurser from new born to toddler. the liner gently collapse to prevent air from mixing with the milk and get into baby's tummy. less stuffs to wash, and doesn't break easily. the bottom of the nurser is special design to keep the cap on there so it will not get lost. Love everything about this. Price of the liners and not too pricy too.

Perfect and easy to use bottle system
After purchasing loads of expensive "high quality" bottles, I was just never satisfied. Tommee tippee- awkward shape, my baby gulping down tons of air, Avent- leaking, breastflow- all around poor quality... I finally decided to try the bottles that my mom, and aunt, used decades ago. These are PERFECT! High quality construction. The air can be easily squeezed out of the bag prior to feeding to ensure NO air ingestion. So much less time scrubbing bottles, I always know my baby is drinking out of a sterile bottle! These are perfect for travel, all I have to wash are the nipples and rings. Plus no need for a bottle warmer, just place the bottle in a container of hot water and the milk is warmed in no time! Goes to show sometimes cheaper is better! I should have known my family has used these for generations for a reason. Really the replacement bags are not too much when I think of the cost of some of the bottle sets I purchased! The price of $8 and some change for the 3 bottles here on Amazon is about half the price of babies r us where they are $16.99. Also love the nipple variety packs where I could try which nipple shape and flow worked for my daughter! Highly recommended

Seriously amazing!!!!
I was so stubborn and hesitant about using these because I wasn't sure about throwing away the plastic (which actually can be reused if you really want to be ecofriendly) but after my daughter was projectile throwing up after drinking from Dr. Brown's bottles (which would take her 45 or more minutes to drink 3 ounces) I knew we needed to make a change. We decided to give these Playtex drop ins a chance, because they are what my mom used for my sister and I when we were babies 30 years ago. She swore by the squeezing out of the air that it would really help her. The nipples are much wider and in my opinion really mimic a real nipple. Sure enough, we made the switch, and she chugs bottles down in 10-15 minutes now and have NOT had any throwing up since we made the switch. In fact, since making the switch she has been able to show us signs that she wants more formula and we have been able to increase to 4 ounces (within a few weeks from making the switch) and now a few weeks later I think she is ready for 5 ounces. I am so excited to see her drink her whole bottles, have minimal spit up, and hang out happy after a feeding. Because of those wider nipples I notice her mouth is able to get a better seal around them (compared to those tiny Dr Brown nipples where I think she was sucking in too much air) and helps her drink easier. Her reflux was not totally cured by this change of bottles, as she ended up needed some prescription medication to help with the other symptoms of reflux, but overall, we saw a night and day difference from switching to these bottles. I would HIGHLY recommend these bottles, even though you have to purchase the drop in liners (they aren't that crazy expensive though!) you will most definitely have a happy baby!

Bottles great but be cautious of product before use
The bottles are great. My only concern with the manufacturer is that the box doesn’t come sealed. The bottles are fine since it would need to be cleaned and sterilized before using. It’s the liners that comes with the bottles that I’m worried about. There is no way for you to tell if the box have been opened or returned. I purchased 2 boxes of these from amazon. Both boxes came without any type of security tape sealed. The bottles in one of the boxes have clearly been used. I see milk stains on the nipples and the liners are missing. The second box included the liners and looks new. Amazon really shouldn’t be re selling returned baby bottles

Best of what's around
I have a 3 month old with reflux. I've tried 4 different bottles.. Aventi, Dr. Brown, Nuk and these. I found that no one bottle is perfect but these are the best of the four I've tried. First, I found these best at keeping air out of the milk. Dr. Browns was good in that respect too. However, if you're transitioning from nursing to bottle and go back and forth, my wife found Dr. Browns to be difficult on the baby...he wouldn't want to go back and forth. I found the Aventi bottles very poor at managing air. Second, these win in a landslide for cleanup. Throw out the drop in, wash the nipple, you're done. Dr. Browns especially is a pain for cleaning. Finally, the nipple. We loved the Nuk orthodontic nipple shape, and if I could add that to these bottles these would be perfect. But I also found that the Nuk nipples are inconsistent in flow. Some mediums seem faster than others. The playtex nipples are consistent. Finally, I do like that these bottles have an adjustable angle. Very handy. All in all, this bottle works best for us with the Nuk close behind. But these seem to do a better job if keeping air out. I haven't tried the playtex ventaire as these seem to do the job and cleanup is a breeze.

See 2012 review comparison!!!
This review was from 2012... See bottom for new design. Even when I bring a bottle brush in the diaper bag I cant always get to a sink. Thats where these come in. They really help make cleaning bottles easier and convienent. Although it is an added expense with the liners, they are pretty inexpensive in bulk and if you dont use them all day everyday. Would reccomend to a mom who doesnt have much time to clean bottles or who wants an inexpensive easily replacable (they sell these pratically everywhere, even gas stations) quality product. Why does it seem like every company that makes something "new and improved" it almost always means "new and terrible" I had these nursers from 2012 with my oldest. They were sleek and had the short caps and never leaked. They were so easy to use and the rings came off without getting arthritis. These new angles nursers actually are a good idea for upright feeding. Alot of reviewers complain that they are getting suds trapped in the hinges but I hand wash and the bottle brush always seems to get the suds out fine. I actually prefer the look of these to the old ones and they are more accurate (although still not always perfect). It seems like Playtex missed the mark on these "locking rings" I may have received defective ones but I am not the only reviewer who seems to have this problem of struggling to get the lid on and off correctly without pulling my fingers off. If they had just realized tired parents don't want to go prying things off and on at 3am they would have made the perfect new design. Disliking the design is not really a reason to give this bottle a terrible rating. It's the function that I care about the most. And the function is awful. Thought having less to scrub would be easier but actually should have just thrown my money in the trash. If there is some trick I am missing to these please someone help me. Otherwise I hate these!

Best Bottles on Market, Helped Reduce Gas and Spit Ups, Way Less Bottle Parts to Wash
I've used these Playtex Nurser bottles with both of my kids. I discovered them after trying many bottle types with my first daughter because of her having constant gas and spit ups and because I was tired of scrubbing 10 parts per bottle. I love that there are hardly any parts to wash constantly ( just bottle, nipple, and ring), which was another selling point. We wash the bottle itself every other day and only the rings and nipples daily so it's much quicker cleaning and making bottles than with all the other brands we tried. When you put the ring on the bottle, make sure you line up the arrows on the bottle and the ring to ensure it's properly closed to avoid a spill. I like that the bottle bends to reduce air bubbles and get a better milk flow on that angle. The bottles are very well made and have survived many washings. Soap bubbles do sometimes get stuck under the bendable hinge, which is annoying. The liner aspect is fantastic because not only does it cut down on cleaning, but it also reduces gas and spit ups because the air flow is sealed. My daughter had much less spit ups and gas once we switched to these bottles. My only complaint is that the ounce numbers on the sides of the bottle do NOT match up to the ounces on the bottle liners. For example, if I put the liner in first and pour out 5 ounces according to the markings on the side of the bottle, it's in fact only 4.5 ounces when you remove the liner and look at the ounce number on the liner. Somehow they aren't matched up, so I just pour the formula into the liners first and use that to get an accurate measurement. I buy these for all my friend's baby showers because they are the best on the market.
