the best
somewhat expensive but totally worth it... this charcoal can do it all... low/slow to scorching/fast cooks. coconut smoke is entirely neutral and pleasant outright while also allowing you to add whatever smoke wood if that's your jam

Excellent charcoal, not quick light because itโs real charcoal.
Charcoal is excellent. Low ash even in wind. This is important if you use it for Korean BBQ grills so the food doesnโt end up with ash like some others. Charcoal is also nearly flavorless which is good for people who may be more sensitive to chemical tastes or heavy smoke flavor on their food. But if you add a few chunks of your favorite wood it will leave a nice flavor and provide long lasting consistent heat. To light I use a chimney with a tumbleweed and I stack the small log sections โpucksโ flat side down in a staggered hexagon pattern and they light just fine. Iโd say the normal 20-30 mins from lighting until poured in the grill and ready, depending on wind. Friend uses his weed burner torch but a chimney and kindling works for me. As long as I can get this charcoal and the quality and consistency stays as good as it is, I will always use these log segment pucks from Komodo Charcoal. I saw the description could be updated or clarified since some people thought they were long logs. But the product itself is my favorite after dozens of trials with different charcoal and briquettes. I use it enough Iโd do a subscription depending on what was offered as far as frequency and quantity.

Takes longer to ignite but wort the price
Best for low and slow but can also reach hight temperature, value for money is really good, low to no ashes, very versatile and eventually reusable, only regret: it lacks some flavor, too bad!

Best Charcoal for a Kamado Style Cooker
These are the perfect for your Kamado. A fire box full will last well beyond your longest 14+ hr low and slow cooks. They are actually shorter than in the current pictures, but this is what you want to get the air flow you need for higher temperature cooks like bread, pizza and reverse searing steaks. To get them lit I use the paraffin wax cubes and few small pieces of lump charcoal. I find it much easier to control the temperature with these compared to lump. And the price is at least a good considering how long these last.

Awesome coconut charcoal, simply the best!
If you BBQ low and slow, this is the charcoal you need. I light just one end of a piece then let my BBQ handle controlling the temps with minimal air flow. The coconut charcoal burns cleanly and is consumed slowly over time. Coconut charcoal doesn't impart any flavor to your meat. Instead you simply add a fist sized chunk of your favorite smoking wood to create your flavor profile. I prefer cherry yet I experiment with apple, peach, pecan and others. Another huge benefit is this charcoal produces just 2.5% of ash by weight. This means the bottom of my BBQ fills up very slowly, reducing how often I need to remove the ash.

Excellent for seafood and vegetables
This has a light, neutral flavor that is excellent for anything, especially seafood and vegetables. Slightly harder to light, but long-burning. Highest quality, like all Komodo Kamado products.
