$AVE THOUSAND$!!! Buy this wedge pillow Instead of an adjustable bed!
This wedge pillow is just right! It has a very firm structure for excellent support, while the memory foam layer provides great comfort. To have good support all the way up to your neck and the back of your head, you need a good-sized wedge like this one. Before you select a wedge pillow, be sure to pay attention to the measurements. I'm just under 5โ 10โ and this one works great for me. Changing the angle of the pillow gives you the two most-used positions on an expensive adjustable bed. In the โsitting upโ position, I use a standard pillow for lumbar support - the same thing I did on an adjustable bed, but thousands of dollars cheaper! Two of these wedge pillows will allow you and your partner to choose for yourselves whether you want to sit up or recline. If you were sharing a full, queen, or king-sized adjustable bed, you and your partner would have to agree on the angle you want to use (like that's ever going to happen.) Want to hear a really scary bedtime story? The sleep store salesmanโs solution to the angle disagreement problem is for you to buy TWO twin long adjustable beds - which, of course, cost even more than one King size adjustable bed! And what will you get? You will get a big fat crack between your twin extra-long adjustable beds that is very uncomfortable to sleep on. If you have hard floors, you may even get a crack that will widen to a chasm that you can fall down as the two adjustable beds slide apart. Plus, you will also have to spend way more money on your linens because two sets of extra-long twin sheets cost waaay more than one set of King sheets. Then comes a time when you have owned your twin extra-long adjustable beds for less than a year, and one of your remotes (the thing you have to use to make the adjustable bed go up and down) suddenly stops working, and you find out that there is no way to flatten out the bed without the remote. So you learn to enjoy sleeping in a sitting position until the adjustable bed company ships you a replacement for over $40. And the friendly customer service person at the adjustable bed company tells you, โYes, this is all part of routine maintenance - owning an adjustable bed is like owning a car.โ NOW you tell me! Listen to the voice of experience - Skip the adjustable bed and buy yourself a pair of these wedge pillows. You will save enough money to treat yourself to a beautiful hardwood bed frame. Epilogue - we did at least avoid paying thousands for a pair of bottom of the line twin extra-long mattresses at the local sleep store. Instead, we ordered a pair of twin extra-long mattresses from tuft & needle on Amazon. We have been sleeping on them every single night for two and a half years and they are the best mattresses we have ever owned! We just wish that we had bought a king. In order to live with what we have, we have now purchased king size sheets. The king contour sheet holds the twin mattresses together, preventing continental drift. In order to head off another breakdown, where we find ourselves sleeping sitting up, we make very minimal use of the adjustable height - hence our purchase of this wonderful and wonderfully-affordable wedge pillow. One of these days we will send these ridiculous adjustable beds to the junkyard, buy ourselves a nice hardwood bed frame, plus a tuft & needle king size mattress, and live happily ever after. Except, to tell the truth, we have so very much to be thankful for that we're happy already. Sleep tight and God bless!

Excellent quality.
Some reviews here are negative because the wedge was too high. That's not the fault of the wedge... there are 7 and 10 inch sizes available. Don't leave a negative review because you chose the wrong product. That's your fault, not the product's fault. In addition to this 12 inch wedge from Amazon, I have a 7 inch wedge from a local medical supply store. The cover on this wedge from Amazon is much better quality than the one from the local medical supply store. The one from the local store has a cover made from a cheap cotton material like a cheap bed sheet. The one from Amazon is covered by a nice material that seems like it will last much longer. Also, the memory foam layer on the wedge from Amazon is very comfortable... much better than the 7 inch wedge from the local medical supply, which has no layer of memory foam. I use the 12 inch wedge behind my back, and I put the 7 inch wedge under my knees when I sleep. Using them this way, it's just as comfortable as sleeping on the recliner in the living room. I have had shoulder pain for many years, and could never sleep flat on my back... even before I had shoulder pain. I just couldn't fall asleep flat on my back. When I slept on my sides, I would toss and turn all night long due to the pain from my shoulders. I could sleep on one shoulder for an hour or two, and then I would wake up in pain and need to turn over. Then, I had surgery on my right shoulder because it froze up and became too painful to bear. After the surgery, I could not sleep on my right side at all. I tried the 12 inch wedge from Amazon first, because it was similar to the elevation of my recliner. It was too high and would make my butt hurt (too much weight on my buttocks to lie in the same position all night). I already had the surgery, so I needed something quick... So, I tried the 7 inch wedge from the local medical supply. It was too low. It was also not nearly as comfortable as the one from Amazon, because the one from Amazon has the 1-inch layer of memory foam, and the one from the local medical supply store does not. Instead of trying the 10 inch wedge (I'm frugal), I decided to try using the 12 inch wedge behind my back, and the 7 inch wedge to elevate my knees. Wow! Now, I sleep the whole night without tossing and turning. I wake up refreshed. This is the best sleep I've had in more than 20 years! I've tried all kinds of mattresses. The mattress I have now is the most comfortable bed I've ever owned... but these foam wedges make all the difference in the world. It's been almost a month since my shoulder surgery, and I still can't lay on my right side for more than about 30 minutes. The doctor says it will be several more months before all the pain is gone... but I think I'll keep using these foam wedges, because I sleep better now than I have since I was a kid!

Worked great after surgery, just a bit warm
I purchased two of these wedge pillows - both the 7" and 12" height - in preparation for having my tonsils out. I was supposed to sleep at a 45 degree angle for 2 weeks afterwards to avoid bleeding. I first purchased the 12" height (to get the correct angle), but after reading the reviews about being "too high", I also purchased this 7" version. Let me tell you, I'm glad that I purchased both. Both were made by the same company with the same nice, white, comfy, stretchy cover. I liked the memory foam. I used my normal pillow on top of the wedge. I liked the 12" height for the nights when I needed extra elevation - when my head, ears and throat were throbbing with pain. Keeping my head elevated that much farther above my heart helped the situation. I liked the 7" height for nights when I didn't have that much of a problem, I just needed some elevation to keep my heart lower than my throat to avoid any excessive bleeding. Yeah, I slid down during the nights - not a fault of the pillow - I would just wake up and scoot myself back up so my butt was close to the beginning of the wedge. I am a side sleeper to boot (I had a rough time with all of this) - side is the only real way I can sleep, and I previously had obstructive sleep apnea - the reason for removing my tonsils to begin with - and I had a fear of sleeping on my back because I would wake up gasping for air within minutes after falling asleep. Not fun. So, I was able to arrange myself somewhat comfortably for side sleeping on BOTH heights of this pillow. Once again, I had my normal pillow on top of the wedge pillow as well. The only thing I didn't like is that memory foam seems to hold heat. I have a normal (non memory foam) mattress, and I would wake up throughout the night with temperature issues - thinking I was too hot I would kick off the comforter, only seconds later to pull it back over my legs. The warmth coming from the wedge was pretty noticeable to me, but not enough of a bother to wish I didn't purchase these wedges. (I'm not overweight, and I'm usually cold, but I was still surprised by the heat I felt). Overall these pillows were much more comfortable than I had expected, they worked great for my purposes, and they appear to be well made and something I'll hang onto for a long time in case I need them in the future. I would purchase this same pillow for a family member or friend if they needed the elevation at night.

INTEVISION FOAM BED WEDGE PILLOW AND HEADREST PILLOW
These two pillows served their purpose, indeed. I suffered a fall injury last August to my whole left-side from hip to toes. Urgent Care Facility advised me it would take nine-months for tendons/muscles and sciatic nerve to heal. I could barely walk. First of all, I had to ensure no bones were broken so x-rays were done. I was told to keep off my feet except for nominal standing / walking as needed. I could not sleep at night due to pressure on my hip and lower back. I state all of this as it will show how much these pillows helped to improve my condition. Upon purchasing, I immediately put them to use to keep my upper body at a slant when sleeping. It did take pressure off my back and hip due to lengthy reclining angle of pillow. I used it for several months. As my body repaired slowly and still is repairing, I was able to go back to regular pillows but still keep the smaller pillow under my lower back for sleeping on my side or also on my back. It offers just enough cushioning support to keep hip and lower back from pain. I didn't realize how a special quality built foam pillow could make such a difference. The quality is superb; the pain relief I received by using it couldn't have been better -- and because of the quality, it gave my body the support it needed to help mend my body. Great product that I highly recommend - especially after the incident I went through. I wouldn't find myself using the larger pillow had I not had that painful injury. But, It was well worth every dollar when I was healing.

A Odorous Fix to a Serious GERD Problem
The medicine that my doctor had me taking at night, for many years, was pulled from the market. No other medicine works as well for my night time GERD, and I was getting desperate......So, I bought this Bed Wedge Pillow. The bottom line is; it seems to work at stopping GERD. That aspect of the product is good. The rest of the story is somewhat different. First, and I think, foremost, the product smells terrible. We let it air out before I used it and it still emits a sickening odor....even after a week.of use. (I had to begin using it.) The smell is so strong that it permeates my clothing and sheets even through the cover and I have to leave my bed covers turned down so the smell does not overwhelm the bedroom at night. Speaking of the cover, it was terribly sewn. The side seam, where the labels are, was simply mangled. It was all bunched up and stitched in such a way that the side seam and the underside of the wedge can't lay smooth. My wife is going to attempt a repair. The basic support is good, and pretty comfortable, but it is like sleeping on a sliding board. I need to get up and reposition myself higher on the wedge a couple times a night. I have found that if I put a pillow on the bed at the bottom edge of the wedge, I do not slide quite as much. All in all, the product does what I bought it for. It isn't real comfortable, but then neither is chronic GERD. If it were not for the noxious smell, I would rate this product higher.

Fantastic product!
I ordered this for my daughter who has not only acid reflux but pneumonia in one of her lungs. It was suggested she sleep elevated in order to help her during her healing process for pneumonia, and to help her in general with her acid reflux. We are unable to elevate the head of her bed so this was our only other option. Since we received this on Monday, it's now Thursday, she has had full nights sleep every night, no coughing! She loves it! The cover is wicked soft, the pillow is sturdy, fits perfectly on her bunk bed, and she is able to sleep wonderfully with it. I would highly suggest this to anyone that needs to sleep elevated. I would pay $40 over and over again just for the peace of mind I have knowing my daughter feels better and sleeps better with it. When the package arrived, i was a bit concerned with its size. For some reason I assumed it would be a large box with the pillow in it, cut it open and the pillow is ready to go. This was not the case. I received a box that was definitely smaller than expected. Opened the box and there was a roll on the inside, like when you purchase a memory foam mattress topper. I opened the plastic that was around the pillow and it immediately started reshaping itself. I was shocked at how quickly it took its intended form. I did not have to wait an hour, or even a half an hour. Within minutes it was ready to go. Great packaging, great shipping, great product!

InteVisionFoamWedgeBedPillow25x24x12>Really25x24x4WithEther'sSmell
InteVision Foam Wedge Bed Pillow 25x24x12:- Absolutely junk-never buy! It arrived rolled & their foam has ~0= ~No Memory-so this pillow is practically arch-bent wavy-FLAT: 25x24x4 / 25x24x0.6 [inches, wedge ~4"H,~0.6"h] ! Who tells anti-allergenic? -It smells like chemical~ (-SO3) -ether! They rolled it like under pressure!-& how long they did keep it rolled-pressured?- ~No memory lefts! Foam is soft - not firm. What acid reflux deal could be on a flat pillow?! I did buy two of them - so I put both in the same pillow-case,- at least to have something more wedge than flat. I put it close to my powerful air-purifier with HEPA- & activated carbon filters. For how long should it stay there before (-SO3)-ether's smell go away?- I hope - sooner than later. That smell is probably from those genius / idiots who packed pillows rolled-pressed & put two pillows in so big cardboard box - roomy with plenty of space - that they could easily put them freely '69'-way without 'roll & pressure & spray' their stinky ether. - It's very difficult to stay on my truth = what I'd witnessed - versus about 900 opinions in already published reviews on Amazon.com. Update of this info: Polyethylene of the package is very smelly- ether-like smell, so I just did order next day delivery & unpacked shipment very quickly & did throw away-outdoors that stinky wrap,- expedited next day delivery also got this pillow's foam to regain its original shape& size in ~ 1 hour in compare with 2 days delivery (- in 3 days; I'd 3 different delivery-times - first one was longer than 2 days because 2 business days included week-ends, - then my first two pillows' "memory" foam did only partially regained their shape & size (~1/2) to approx. half of original size in about 3 days - so I did put two pillows in one case - so the "doubled" pillow has approx. the original size of one pillow & works fine & also the longer than 2 days delivery time did take about 5 days to ventilate away the ether-like smell from package-wrap when I put pillows & their cases separately close to my powerful HEPA & activated-carbon-filter air-purifier - for these 5 days my kitchen was very smelly - I didn't at first recognize that this ether-like smell's source was from polyethylene wrap which should be thrown away outdoors as soon as possible,- these guys who wrapped these pillows with stinky polyethylene are either idiots or hate their customers. Probably before been wrapped these pillows were non-allergenic but after - definitely not. After I ventilated the next-day-delivered pillow long enough the small practically disappeared & it's probably non-allergenic again but I'm not a judge to say that. So be aware to have over-night delivery & to unpack smelly wrap & throw wrap outdoors-away as soon as possible - the longer the pillow & polyethylene wrap are together the harder & longer you have to ventilate pillow & its case separately near HEPA+Carbon-filter-air-purifier. My last experience with next day delivery I could rate as 4 stars to this pillow in condition to take all precautions to get rid of smell & for pillow to regain original shape & size.

mil usos
