Learn from my mistakes and follow the directions!
First off, this was easy to install and my dogs learned it quickly. But please, learn from my mistakes and read this carefully. I bought this in March and have been using this for a while. I personally have it installed through my window. It has been installed since March or April. It clearly says in the instructions to use the surge protector provided. However, I could not get to to “complete the loop” with the surge protector so I just plugged it into the wall. The ground around the window where this comes out of is a little bit softer than the rest of the ground where the fence is dug. So slowly, the wire made its way out of the dirt and was exposed. So of course…my landscaper hits it with the weed eater. I let the dogs out and they quickly realize the fence isn’t working so they run amok. I see them going crazy and go to investigate and see the broken wire. I’m late for work so I just braid them together and say I will deal with it when I get home. Then of course there was a storm that night. I come home and realize that half of my house isn’t getting power. The electrical box shows a couple of tripped circuits so I flip them back and everything seems to work. I was wrong. My tv, playstation, router and modem are all fried. They were plugged into a surge protector but I’m not going to lie, they were cheap and probably more than 10 years old. I investigated and it appears as though during the storm, the wire was struck by lightening, it traveled through the wire and into the transmitter which exploded, and then through the power cord which also exploded. I am very lucky that all I lost was a few electronics and a fish tank (broke from exploding power cord coming out of the outlet). I am 100% to blame for this. I read the instructions but didn’t follow them and my laziness cost me. I literally repurchased the same transmitter, plugged it into a heavy duty surge protector and dug the wires down deeper. I also properly fixed the broken wire with the provided connectors and covered the exposed wire with pipe insulation. The fence works well if you follow the directions.

We loved for our dogs/ fast learning for dogs
This works so good for out dogs! The beep is loud and they listen very good when it starts. We have a big yard so we needed to buy more wire. Easy to assemble and put together. They are strong collars and thick so they won't be getting them off easily.

Cheap system and customer service sucks
I've had this system for 2+ years and it kinda sorta works when the collars aren't going out. And woe to anyone who drops one or bumps it too hard. It'll stop making sound to warn your dog if you do. Just give it another whack and it'll start beeping again though. You can adjust the boundary width, which is cool, except that it won't stop a running dog from running through the boundary. Yes, read that again. It WON'T stop them because it's designed not to. If the dog is moving too fast, the system will refuse to correct them "for safety" rather than issue a static correction to get them back across the border. It only stops them if they are walking toward the boundary, not running. It's designed this way. Which is entirely useless if your dog loses their mind for a moment and runs after something. Food for thought if you have a dog like that. Jump to a couple weeks ago: my system suddenly loses the Loop light and I can't get it to come back on so I dug up and replaced my entire wiring system. The whole thing. Same result. That means, by process of elimination, that either the transmitter or the power supply is failing. There is no alternative. I contact support and explain it to Sarah who keeps asking the same inane questions over and over again about whether I did a loop test or not instead of listening. I did the loop test. She apparently cannot understand the words "yes, I cut a 15ft section of wire and connected them to the transmitter and the loop light came on" (as the instructions said to do) or "but that means the transmitter is working on a short wire, not necessarily on a longer wire running around my yard" (when a power supply or transmitter begins to fail, you will have trouble pushing signal through longer wires) she then proceeds to tell me she's an expert in the system and has 6 years of experience, blah blah blah. She gets all standoffish because she can't just follow the script they have written for her when someone has more experience than she does (21 years this year for me). The system is cheap. Not the good kind where you pay little and get a good deal. No, it's the kind where the system is bound to fail and you'll never get any sort of decent customer service for it. Youre better off spending a bit more from a good brand instead.

Overall good for the price
The spool of wire this kit came with had a lower quality durability. Would suggest buying a separate spool of wire. Easily set up. I like the adjustment settings this kit has. My dog responded well. I really like the instruction manual. It had a template to drill holes for mounting the transmitter. It also gives training instructions that are quite clear. Very easy to understand. Worked on the first try. The plastic tube you place the connectors in to keep the connections waterproof and protected in the ground are thin and not durable. We superglued the lid piece back on and wrapped it in plastic to help keep it waterproof. Overall a good experience and works well for the price.

It’s worth the money!
When you’re buying a pet fence do your homework. We tried a few other brands in an attempt to save some money. After they all failed we decided it was time to get one from the company who pioneered it. It’s perfect. No having to turn collars on and off anymore. Adjusts the field with the turn of a knob in seconds. Collars have 5 different correction levels too and a long battery life

Keeps dogs safe and in your yard
We really didn't want to go through all the work digging up the yard (we have 2 2/2 acres), so before ordering these, we tried two different wireless GPS collars (others brands) that we had extreme issues with (such as shocking them when they were definitely within the perimeter or randomly shutting off when they were outside.) So we finally broke down and bought these. They are a total pain to install, simply due to burying lines (do yourself a favor and rent a trenches- we just weren't able to get our hands on one when we did this.) The actual hookup is easy as long as you read the directions. Our dogs are now safely confined in our yard. We are rural, so no one here really keeps the dogs in their yards, but our dogs have decided that they wanted to wander too far, so had to something. Many people will be against the static shock, but it is safer than allowing them to run away and get hit by a car. You set the correction level you are comfortable with. Also, dogs are very smart (at least most are). Day one dogs just kept wanting to go past the marked areas. Day 2 they knew they had no go zones, but just took a little bit testing boundaries. By day 3 our dogs knew exactly where their boundaries are.

THERE has to be something easier
I got this cause I thought it would be easy to set up. But I found this be alot more work than i thought. For me it was a very complicated to set up. The Battery life was not bad. I would say you need better instructions and more than one person to to get it to work

This works great!!!!
After searching through many fences on the web and then talking to a neighbor I decided to give this a try. I was hopeful and it exceeded my expectations. It was easy to setup. You can easily add fence if you want a bigger perimeter. The flags are the key!!! Once you adjust the range and show your pet the flags and they hear the beeping, they start learning what it means. My dogs were shocked once, they just jumped back and now they stay around 10-15 feet from flags. They have plenty of room to play but I can keep them out of my crops. Excellent performance from this company. The only slightly negative thing I would say is the collars can loosens easily if your dogs are very active like mine.
