High Build Friction Polish

Does a great job. I transfer some to 4 once squirt bottles to reduce spillage from the large opening. After using Yorkshire grit, I get a beautiful shine with 3 coats. A little goes a long way.

Great finish with this polish. I turn a lot of wood items and this pressure polish works great. I just wish the opening was a little smaller.

Great product/Great delivery

This product has given me excellent results on lathe turnings. However, I get equal results from the popular three part home mixed finish at a much lower cost. The amount of money saved by mixing one's own is a large percentage, but not a lot of dollars. For many people it may not be worth the savings to have to buy the three components and mix them. You would have to buy the three components in volumes that would make the initial purchase price about the same either way, although that would give you much more finish. But you might not want to have that great a volume of finish. I can't say exactly what the shelf life of the products would be, but it could be a consideration. I'd give this product five stars for results and ease of use and my four star rating is only because of the cost compared to home mixed.

I know, it’s expensive. Lots of choices for a finish, and I’ve tried a bunch of them. This is the best I have found. Easy to use, don’t need much, dries really fast, so you can apply multiple coats quickly. Mixes well with some quick shakes. Ya don’t need much, so the price is offset by hiw long it kasts.

I used Mylands High Build Friction Polish in combination with the Mylands cellulose sanding sealer, and overall I am very pleased with the results. The finish does require some finesse, as it can streak if not applied carefully, which I attribute more to technique than to the product itself. I did accidentally leave the friction polish container open overnight, and it appears some of the alcohol solvent may have flashed off. Even so, it remains an excellent fast-build finish and performs very well for quick turnaround projects.
