Brake pads for bicycles.
These brakes pads work very well and were much cheaper than paying full price at a bike shop.

Brakes are so important!
As a new cyclist I will be giving the novice's view on these brake pads. I previously had stock brake pads on my road bike that I use getting to and from work, ~10 miles per day. I brake maybe 20 times on my way to work between turns and stops, after 4 months or so of my new routine of biking I noticed my brakes were not responding as well as before. When these brake pads arrived they were very simple to install. As a novice it took me all of 5 minutes to swap. Make sure to align them right for the wheel to prevent them applying pressure directly to the tire. It should be applying pressure to the metal ring that holds the tire (or at least on my bike that is the design). After installation I noticed these brake pads squealed A LOT! I almost got rid of them after my first ride. Thankfully I stuck with it for the rest of the week. By day 2 or 3 the squealing was almost gone and by the end of the week they did not squeal at all. So it seems like they need to be broken in a bit - not a big deal. The brakes respond so much faster now and I actually stop very quickly compared to the stock brake pads. It is such a great difference in performance and has helped me feel much more in control of my bike. I highly recommend these brake pads. I hope you find this review helpful!

Worked well with my Avid Shorty 4 rear brakes, buy an extra set or two if $7 price
I paid $6.86 (weird pricing) for these to replace worn pads on my Avid Shorty cantilever brakes. I've seen replacement 20R pads sold for those brakes, but I don't see how you can replace just the pads. I think you really do need this set. The gear was Avid made and high quality. There's an 'R' on each pad -- not sure what that means as I don't think it's rear or right! The Avid print on the side does tell you which way up. There were no directions, so hope you have your old directions or simply pay attention to your existing pads. I took a photo of my setup so if things fell apart I'd know how to assemble them -- spacer configuration will vary depending on your rims. Replacement took about 10-15 minutes and it's pretty easy as long as you don't drop any pieces. Fortunately between old and new you have some backup. I recommend buying more than one replacement set. My Avid brakes are probably 5-7 years old; who knows if they'll be sold in 5 years. If you buy 3 pairs now, given that front brakes last twice as long as rear brakes (mine anyway), you'll have enough for many years of riding.

An unexpected brake pad
What you need if you order this break pad: 1) Allen wrenches: in order to tighten the pad in place; 2) an understanding of brake replacement: there are no instructions; 3) A sense of humor: there're four pieces to help fill the empty space between the brake and the wheel but it was already tight on my road bike so I had to stack all four on the outside of the brake chassis BECAUSE it so happens that the screw threads only go down so far (horrible idea for brake pad design). The first time I tightened it--with my hands, I might add, not Allen wrenches--one of the four plastic spacers had already cracked. The brakes work well enough but they could've simplified the design a lot to aid in installment and the four spacers should've been made out of metal rather than out of a cheap plastic; nevertheless, they are appropriately priced so I gave them a 3/5.

Good brake pads so far
So far so good. Easy to install, easy to adjust and toe in on my hybrid. Even though it's an easy job, some kind of instructions or diagram would be nice- it can be easy to forget the order of washers/spacers if they happen to fall off- I took a picture before I started just in case. Have had no noise/squealing as of yet, and performance has been perfectly adequate. I believe Avid parts are made by SRAM, so it's not like these are some unknown brand.

Good cheap pads
it's good for the money. no qualms with installation on couple of avid shorties. worked okay on wet rims. not the most bite out of all the pads. but good enough for strolling around town. not sure if I would use them on a long single track downhill, but who does that nowadays with basic canti brakes?

Surly
So Far go good, budget option at 9ea Jan 2026 so hopefully they preform well. Replaced on Surly long haul trucker canti lever brakes. Replaced Tektro pads

Good pads, make sure you order the right kind
Worked great to replace the old pads on my mountain bike. Note that there are two kinds of mountain bike pads: 'cantiliver' and 'caliper'. The cantilever ones have a post that a separate locking mechanism grabs on to. The caliper ones have a bolt that screws in to the back of the pad holder. I originally ordered 'cantilever' pads because my bike does have cantilever brakes. However, it turns out that the attachment mechanism is the regular old caliper screws, so I returned those pads and ordered these. Something to keep in mind when you are buying mountain bike brake pads. No squeaking after I installed these.

Cheaper than elsewhere and compatable with any V brake system
Most important thing first: these pads fit my flat handled road bike perfectly. I was worried that because of the shape of the frame they would not, but with a bit of fiddling they are fine, and if they fit mine, they will fit any. They are quality pads too. I have already ridden 100 miles (give or take) since I fitted them and I will be getting another set for my back wheel as they are fantastic; all at a fraction of the price of other vendors. Finally, quick delivery and well packaged. All round, an amazing buy.

Ottimi
Ottimi pattini a un prezzo irrisorio, montati su shimano deore si sono dimostrati all'altezza se non superiori a quelli originali, sono totalmente di gomma quindi flettono un po di più ma questo non ne compromette la potenza di frenata ...
