We have several RODE GO sets and sometimes adding a lav mike makes sense. Do not expect it to have the quality of a full blown Shure or Sennheiser pro level lav. However, for recording, live streaming and for occasional live mixing through a board it is fantastic and at £50-£60 is significantly better than the £30 other options out there. For me, it has a good pick up across the spectrum but is a little weak at the lower frequencies (I would not want to use it with Bobby Bass, for example). So, in summary, if you are using the GO and need to have the lav facility then it is a no brainer - get it and pop them in the RODE GO case. If you have an occasional requirement for a Lav mike to go into a mixer or PA of some kind then this is a cheap way to do it with a degree of quality. If you want a backup recording recorded via a lav mike then again it is a no brainer - the Rode Go Transmitters and Pro Transmitters have recording on board and it works incredibly well. A quick note on build and quality: It is RODE. So expect it to be good. And the quality of the fly lead, clip, 3.5mm TS plug and of course the mike is definitely what you would expect with Rode and teh Rode Go series of products. I hope this helps with you decision.

I'm not an expert on microphones, but I have a Rode Wireless Go system and teach a yoga class. The Wireless Go works very well but having the transmitter hanging from the top of your t-shirt is a bit clumsy, gets in the way and you can get sound distortion, or lose the sound when you turn your head. Using a multi-directional lapel mic and attaching the transmitter to your shorts works so much better. You can turn your head or bring your head down and it doesn't distort or lose the sound. It's relatively expensive and there may be a cheaper ones out there but this works well with the Rode Wireless Go and I am very happy with it.

These are great mics for the money, I actually prefer them to the twice as expensive Lav 2, mostly for practical rather than sound quality reasons. However, I am buying his one to replace one that has started to buzz when connected to a Rode Wireless Pro (I have some white ones that are fine) so only four stars because of the one that is dying.

Very good quality mic, alot of people have said they enjoy the sound of the mic, even people who pop in when I am streaming vr games, and can sound even better once a bit of eq is added, if you want a sample of what it can sound like, rdatomica is the channel ttv (dunno if this is allowed) but all in all, the mic is great, easy to set up, it's litterally just and aux, straight into my pc, that's it, would highly recommend anything by rode, they are a company that knows what they are doing!

I'm no RODE fanboy but I needed an affordable lav mic and wasn't sure whether to go for this or the new version. Because of how I would be using it (taped to clothing) I was reluctant to go for the new version with the flat design and forward facing capsule and I am pleased I was because this go us the recording we wanted without being visible and without any sound of rubbing on clothing. I'm using it with a wireless system (not RODE) and am happy with it. I will very likely by another one.

Initially it did not worked when connected directly with lightening Jack 3.5 mm. did a lot of research, called Amazon helpline but not useful, they suggested a return. I ordered TRS to TRRS cable---and Bingooo ,, it worked. For use with I phone 8 and above you need TRS to TRRS cable. I have i phone 13 pro max and you need this Trs to TRRS and lightening jack as well. sound very good.

Me sorprende no ver una review en español de este producto, así que escribo mi experiencia. El Lavalier Go es una variación del Smartlav+ que ya está cableado a TRS, ahorrándote la necesidad de comprar el adaptador SC3 si lo vas a usar en una grabadora como las ZOOM o en una DSLR (en mi caso, una Lumix FZ300) Cuando me refiero a variación, es que es la misma membrana que el Smartlav+, para lo bueno y para lo malo. Suena muy bien, no requiere de alimentación adicional como pasa con otros Lavalier baratos (como el Boya BY-M1 o el Audio Technica ATR3350), pero lo tienen ecualizado de fábrica con un nivel bastante alto, así que recomendaría reducir la ganacia de la entrada de audio. En mi caso, con la reflex lo he reducido a -8dB y perfecto, pero lo tenéis que ir probando. Por otra parte, el cable solo mide 1.5m como en el Smartlav+, pero que con un alargador como el VC-1 o cualquiera que te vendan en una tienda de música va de lujo. Lo estoy usando con uno de 3m que ya tenía y sin pérdidas. Convenientemente, Rode tiene al mismo el Smartlav+ y SC3 que solo este producto. Si sólo vas a grabar con DSLR o una Zoom, este producto merece la pena y evitas un posible punto de fallo o pérdida de sonido como sería el SC3. Si vas a usar un smartphone como grabadora externa, el Smartlav+ es tu mejor remedio.

This lavalier mic produces excellent quality audio, perfect for vlogging with a discrete mic setup. I plug mine into a DJI Mic 2 which I keep in a pocket so I can easily start and stop recordings. Gotta love RØDE quality.

I own three of these lavalier mics and this review comes after using them extensively. The Rode Lavalier Go is a perfect companion to the Rode Wireless Go. The mic itself is very compact and can be clipped with the included removable and reversible clip. The connector itself is a 3.5 mm TRS connector, which is simply of the push-type without the knurled lock-nut. However this does not matter since the Rode Wireless Go does not have a locking receptacle. The cable is of reasonably robust construction, even though it is quite slim. In actual use it holds up well and seems to be well shielded; since I've tested it in close proximity to RF Interference generators. This was a doubt that I had, and wanted to clarify. The only grouse that I have with it is that it is slightly shorter than standard length of professional level lavalier mics which reduces one's flexibility in its actual usage on miking up a talent, but to a small extent; and is within acceptable limits. In conclusion, this Lavalier Go Mic works well and is perfectly matched to the Rode Wireless Go. Fully recommended.
