This is a good magazine pouch that holds various styles and sizes of double stack magazines!
I purchased this magazine pouch to use it with multiple weapons. I wanted something that would work with my Sig 226 and also my Glock 23 and Glock 19 magazines which are two distinct sizes. When I first got this mag pouch it was set up and it easily fit the Glock magazines without any adjustment. There is an adjustment screw in the front center between the two mag pouches that allows you to adjust for the thickness of the magazines that you will be carrying. This pouch is designed for double stack magazines so do not buy this for a single stack or even a 1 ½ stack magazine. (Not for S&W Shield 9 mm or 40 cal) In my video I show multiple sizes of Glock 40 cal magazines and also 9 mm mags for a Sig 226. I show how to adjust the mag pouch. There is no spring in the mag pouch and the tension on the magazines is supplied by the natural pressure of the molded plastic of the pouch and the tension can be adjusted but using the tension screw. Some magazines may be way too tight to fit into the pouch when you first get it but just loosen the screw and push in the magazines. Let the pouch set over night and it will loosen up to fit the mags well. Plastic is easily stretched and reformed and the tension screw can always be tightened. Some people complained that they could not insert two mags facing the same way and that is also not a problem. I have had no issues with multiple types of magazines and for different gun manufacturers. I show this in my video. To me that is important as you want to draw the magazines out and have them facing the proper direction for you to quickly insert them into your weapon and reload. The magazine pouch in the video is the standard mat finish version without the fancy carbon fiber look. The carbon fiber look is added by sticking two decals, that probably cost about 15 to 20 cents apiece, onto the mat finish version and they charge you 5$ for the two decals that I believe will not hold up in rough wear. I own a set of both so I know the difference between the two and to me it is not worth the extra money. The pouch holds both magazines tightly and they are properly held into place during your activities and I have no complaints. When I inserted the Sig 226 magazines into the pouch they were so loose it was ridiculous. I simply had to tighten the tension screw until they were securely held into place. The only problem, and I show this in my video, is that I have to tighten the screw a lot and it protruded out the back of the pouch into the area where your belt would fit. It sticks out so much that it would interfere with your belt and perhaps even fray an expensive tactical belt. If I were using this pouch for only Sig magazines I would cut off the excess length of the screw so it would not rub on or touch the belt. Please see the video as I clearly show this. On the back side of the pouch is a belt flap that is held into place with two screws. You also have two belt slots through the main body of the mag pouch so if you want to remove the belt flap you can. The slots are wide enough to support the use of a 1 3/4 inch tactical belt. The belt flap does have an adjustment to allow you to use belts of varying widths up to 2 inches. The flap does have a nice hooked tip on it and it helps to lock the flap underneath your belt if you are not using the belt slots. Please see my video. The pouch is curved to fit the shape of your hip or back and to make it more comfortable. It fits the contour of your body. This is a good magazine pouch. I rated it at five stars.

Great Pouch
Been carrying Blackhawk gear for over 10 years. And this mag pouch does an excellent job. Once you tension it how you want it, the mags are secure and will not inadvertently come out, even during strenuous training at the range. It isn't billed as a CCW item and it does take some work to hide it when wearing. But for an administrative/range detail, this works perfectly. The belt clip device is held on with 2 screws. Easily removed for using the belt carry option. And it is really nice that the belt slots are formed into the pouch itself. One less thing to mess with. I prefer the belt clip option as using the belt slots takes up a couple of extra inches on your belt. But the slots are sturdy and well placed. The design has not changed since I started using these which is a solid indicator that this setup works and works very well. This is my 3rd pouch. My previous 2 have been beat up, dropped, kicked, left in extreme heat/cold and bumped countless walls during training. While they do not look anywhere near new, I Duracoated them on a whim and they look really good and, most importantly, they WORK!! Again, these may not be for you in a CCW scenario. They do add some noticeable bulk but an oversized shirt/jacket/vest can hide that pretty well. But if you are looking for solid gear that performs better than expected and still function for years, this is ideal.

Great range mag holster
This is a great range mag holster with adjustable retention for people that are not doing a lot of moving. I have used this thing for many range days and it has performed flawlessly. The ease of access to my magazine has been a great feature. You can also adjust the hooks on the belt retention to fit the width of your belt. It can be used as a quick clip on or you can lace a belt up to 1 3/4 in though the slots. For the price, this mag holster has a lot of features. However, if you intend to do a lot of moving around in areas with potential obstacles, you might want to look at some pouches that have straps to hold the mags in the holster. The features that make your mags accessible also increase the potential that they could fall our or get snagged and pulled out of your holster. Make sure to consider what you are using this mag holster for. Static ranges, competition, or light duty use would all make sense, and for these uses this is a great product. Field use, or any use where there could be snags or obstacles, result in the risk of losing mags. This is a great product as long as you know its limitations.

Adjustable Tension double mag pouch - NOT paddle type.
Strong. Well built. Simple. Adjustable tension!! Thank you BLACKHAWK. I was looking for a double mag pouch, where I could set the tension. I have a Fobus holster where you can set the tension and it works very well. But very manufacturers make a double mag pouch with and adjustable tension screw. I could only find this one. On my mag pouch when I turned the screw to tighten, it did not tighten. I looked at the back, and the screwplate just turned with the screw. Fortunately there are 2 screws that you can loosen to remove the back adapter plate which make it a belt slide thru only type pouch. I loosened the screws of the back adapter plate to get to the back screw plate. Having the back adapter plate off I could get pliers into the confined are and while gripping the back screw plate I could turn the screw on the front side with a screwdriver and it went in, increasing the tension. Once I had the desired tension I put the back adapter plate back. The tension is very good. You can run and fall and jump and the mags stay inside. It seems, for max tension, that you should actually place the mags like \ / not like \ \ in such a way that the bottom plates of the magazines slope down toward one another and toward the center of the pouch. This is not the most practical when reaching for a mag, but it seems to give the best tension. When having two 13 round .40cal Glock 23 gen 4 mags in the pouch, the sharp points of the bottom of the mags stick into your skin or through your clothing. It can be felt. If the pouch is not on your 9 or 3 o'clock position, and you sit down, it hurts a bit. The back adapter plate has another function where the height of the belts clip can be adjusted. Once it is on your belt in this way it is very difficult to get off, as there is an extra hook at the bottom of the adjustable height adapter. It does not come of easily like the paddle type. This hook can be removed it needed.

Blackhawk Quality
Blackhawk makes quality products for a fair price. I purchased this magazine because I'm 100% happy with my Blackhawk Serpa Holster which I purchased previously. I use this mag case for personal carry and it functions well. The adjustment screw enables me to use my .45 cal mags, no problem. If you use a thicker belt, or a velcro wrap style belt, you won't be able to use the belt slots. The belt will not fit through the slots. I use a velcro wrap style belt most of the time so I must use the "clip on" option. I had to modify the belt clips by inserting a couple of washers and using longer screws to expand the belt clip gap enough to go over the belt so the bottom of the clip engages with the bottom of the belt. I recommend this Blackhawk mag case for personal carry or casual shooting.

Very tight on Shield mags
Update*** I bought a 2nd single stack but had to exchange it as the adjustment screw was jammed, cross threaded. The replacement came and again the screw could not be adjusted in due to the caked thread lock. The screw showed signs of being used so maybe this was someone's return. I had to clean the thread lock off to use the screw. **M&P Shield users** to fit the magazines in the single stack well you do need to apply a heat gun to adjust fit to that mag design. M&P Shield mags are REALLY tight in this pouch with the screw eased off as far as it goes. Should I return or should I relieve it with a heat gun with 2 empty mags in? **Follow up: the heat gun worked great! Fits fine now.

Not over priced but does the job very well
It fits a 1.5" belt perfectly. The holster has two fixed slots on the sides to slide a belt through and one clip in the middle you can use to slide onto a worn belt. The slots are just over 1.5", 1 5/8" to be exact, but you wouldn't want to use a belt bigger than 1.5". The clip on the back is adjustable so you can make it fit a 1" belt snugly without flopping up when you pull a magazine out. However, it's just one clip in the middle so it isn't ideal. I opted to remove the entire clip component which is easily done by removing two screws and popping out the rivets from the main component. It fits my double stack magazines for the Springfield XDM .40 without any problems and with that adjustable screw tension it fits exactly the way I want it. You can adjust it to suit your needs so if you're at a competition, keep it kind of loose, but if you opt to conceal carry you can tighten it some more. It is kind of big for CC in my opinion but I guess in the winter it would work fine. The plastic feels very sturdy and feels like it will last for a long time. The insides are smooth so magazines slide in and out very smoothly. It did the job so well I ordered another one so I can have two holsters that are the same.

Great Mag holster
I am newish to the sport of shooting, and I have not used a lot of products, but in the circle I am in I think I have some kind of informed opinion. I got two of these, they work perfectly. Easily adjust the tension for your double stack mags, so they are as tight as you'd like them to be. Attacked to my belt no problem with a friction fit (I can move the mags easily across the belt, but they do not move on their own during my circuits I run.)
