Wolfgang Amadeus Mouse ("Wolf," for short) has a big name for such a little mouse. But the name fits. His favorite pastime is listening to Mrs. Honeybee, the lady of the house, play the piano. If only he could sing along to the music! One day, Wolf decides to try -- and to his surprise, out of his mouth comes a perfect melody. It's not long before Wolf is singing everything from "Three Blind Mice" to Chopin to the Beatles, all to Mrs. Honeybee's accompaniment. Then an accident leaves Mrs. Honeybee in danger, and it's up to Wolf to save her... the only way he knows how. Review: A Musical Mouse Tops the Charts - Delightful. Very fun to read. Enjoyed by all ages. I've read it to many of my school children. They love listening to it. I personally love this book since I am music teacher and the theme is a musical one. Five stars for sure. Review: Cute story - I read this to my five year old and we loved it. Such a cute story.

My granddaughter loved it!
She was almost 6 when we read this book and sat cuddled up with me for as long as I would keep reading. For a normally very active girl this was a sure sign of her interest. The book is, of course, pure fantasy, but the emotions expressed both of intimacy and concern are real enough. King-Smith does a good job of blending realtiies of life with his fantasies. As an aside, the layout of the book and the fonts and font sizes used made the book a pleasure to read from. The illustrations are also quite nice, simple, and appropriate.

Homeschool read
This was on several homeschool reading lists. We havenโt read it yet but the description sounds good. And I know you arenโt supposed to judge a book on its cover but the cover is really cute

Lovely and sweet story
Our 5 year old daughter really enjoyed this story being read to her. As an adult I enjoyed it too, the plot being interesting and different from anything else I've read. I think this will be a story to return to again and again.

A Mouse Called Wolf
I really enjoyed this book because I like music and animals. The story started slow and got quicker and was really exciting by the time I had finished. I would recommend it to girls who like music and small animals. It is my favourite Dick King-Smith book!
