VECTRA 3D for Dogs Flea, Tick & Mosquito Treatment & Prevention for Small Dogs (11 – 20 lbs), 6 Month Supply

I ORDERED THE VECTRA 3D TEAL FOR MEDIUMS DOGS 11-20 POUNDS (6 DOSES) FOR MY 2 DOGS, CHIHUAHUA TERRIER CROSSES <20#.. THE EXCESSIVE RAIN LAST YEAR MEANT LOTS OF VEGETATION IN MY YARD, AND I STARTED FINDING TICKS ON MY DOGS EVERY DAY. THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I HAD USED ADVANTIX II FOR FLEAS IN THE PAST WHICH WORKED OKAY, NOT WORRYING ABOUT TICKS UNTIL NOW. ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPOTTED FEVER IS SPREAD THROUGH TICKS, SO THE TICKS HAD TO GO! SO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW MENTIONED VECTRA TO ME AS IT HAD BEEN RECOMMENDED TO HIM BY HIS VETERINARIAN BECAUSE OF THE RESISTANCE DEVELOPED BY LOCAL PESTS. VECTRA WAS EXPENSIVE, BUT WELL WORTH IT, AND LESS EXPENSIVE ON AMAZON THAN TRYING TO PURCHASE LOCALLY. VECTRA WAS VERY EASY TO APPLY WITH LONG APPLICATOR ON TUBE, EASY TO REACH DOWN IN FUR. THE DOGS HAD NO REACTION WHATSOEVER, NO RASH, SMELL OR SIDE EFFECTS. IT KILLED THE FLEAS WITHIN 24 HOURS, AND NO MORE TICKS. THE APPLICATION IS EVEN WATER RESISTANT SO STILL WORKS IF YOUR DOG GETS WET AND LASTS A MONTH. I AM WELL SATISFIED WITH VECTRA AND RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER PET OWNERS, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO HAVE FOUND ADVANTIX II NO LONGER WORKS IN THEIR AREA.

I have two Cairn Terriers. My active one suffers from flea allergies. She bites and chews herself and I can really tell she suffers from fleas. The older flea prevention medications were no longer effective. My Vet recommended Vectra. I read a number of negative reviews on the product and voiced my concern to my Vet. He assured me that Vectra was effective and none of his clientele's dogs had any issues. Since using Vectra my dogs have had no flea issues except Cory likes water and she goes swimming in the local creek. Toward the end of the thirty day period I start combing Cory for fleas and if I find any on her, bath and Vectra time, usually it last 30 days. Zee's application is good for more than 30 day but in order to stay consistent, I do both dogs at the same time. I highly recommend Vectra.

I've done a lot of research and noted that Vectra was recommended by a number of vets online and including my own. Takes care of numerous critters BEFORE they bite or attach to your pet. Easy to apply. My pup doesn't like the smell and tries ti run it off so I offer a treat distraction that seems to so the trick. Prevention is worth the price.

It is fairly easy to use this product on my dog. She sits still and allows me to put it on her back, but then she goes crazy for a couple of hours. It must sting or burn. But she is protected for another month. I've been using it a long time. I try to treat her a day before she goes to the groomers so she doesn't have the product on her skin for a long time. We live in a retirement community. There are many animals here. We also have deer coming onto the property at night. I feel comfortable knowing Liddy is protected.

I am very pleased with this product. Living in Florida we have a serious flea problem. Other medications have not worked as well as Vectra 3D. My dog has an allergy to flea saliva. Since using the Vectra 3D, this allergy is under control. The bonus of having a tick preventative is wonderful also for we travel to the NE. I found it to be more expensive than other major brands, but it has proven to be worth it.

I have used Vectra for 4 years, first box I purchased from my Vet due to ineffective results from prior product and have used since. Hands down it has been the most effective product with the least side effects - use it on all 3 of our dogs. (2 Havanese and 1 doodle).

Before the time when monthly flea pills became available I used topical flea treatments on my dog. It was oily and messy. My new dog can't tolerate the oral tabs, so I bought Vectra 3D from my vet. It is not oily or messy, though it did take me some time to get accustomed to applying just the right amount up her back. I haven't seen a flea on her in the two years that I have been using this product. I purchased it from Amazon because the price was slightly lower than what my vet charged.

This product works to kill fleas. My 3 month old puppy had fleas when we adopted him. We manually picked off all the fleas we could find on his fur and then applied this medication to kill any remaining fleas and larvae. It's been a month since then, and no fleas have reappeared. The applicator is well designed, making it easy to apply the medication to my dog.
