Update 6/27/2023: The umbrella is still going strong. We don't allow it to be exposed to the elements so when we are done with it for the day, we put it back in it's carry bag. We've left it out a handful of times when we were too tired to put it away, but it still functions the same as the day we bought it.-End Update I was a little worried with the price being so good that it would look "cheap". I'm very pleasantly surprised at how good it looks and how well it is built. So glad I decided to move forward with the purchase!

I'm very pleased with this Thatched Patio Tiki Umbrella. It adds a bit of whimsey and "feel good" to the yard and love how the "grass" blows with the wind. Have had it a few weeks now. It's been rained on and had strong sunlight. So far it's great!

Looks nice and works however, the part you twist into the ground is on the small side and doesn't grip well. The wind picked up my umbrella out of the ground and I had to chase it down the beach. Luckily nobody was hurt but now I'm nervous to use it.

"Gentlemen, I just paid the palapa contractor. The palapa piper, so to speak. The dream is a reality. We'll no longer be exposed... to the elements." Its well built and adjustable for our needs. We were concerned it woud bee too tall but it adjusts quite a bit. We use it to shade the seat at the end of the pool. Maybe more expensive than it should be but not outrageous. Im happy with it. Wife is happy with it. Overall worth it.

It looks really nice and so far we haven't lost any of the top.

The Shade and Design is very beautiful. The metal rod had small diameter, around 1 in; therefore, not sturdy enough when use. By design it does not have a good grip or a T bar to drill the rod deeper to the ground/sand. It is not expensive so I decided to keep it to keep the sales for the vendor. But I would not purchase this design ever again. I bought Rio brand 4 years ago and still using it without issue. the rod diameter is larger 1.5 in. It had additional short metal rod to pierce the rod as a T handle in order to drill the rod down.

This has to be the cheapest umbrella ever made. The tilt mechanism is faulty. And the pole's plastic material & tiny width wouldnt last one minute on the beach in any amount of wind. Id be shocked if it even survived putting it in the ground. Nearly broke in two taking out the bag. Oh & the silver uv lining was non existent. This shouldnt be sold, not worth the hassle sending it back. Just ordered a Frankford Umbrella.

Our backyard became the most popular area around the house after placing those special umbras by the swimming pool. We like the umbras the most because they are made with special silver aluminum undercoating protects against UV/UPF 50+, you will feel cooler compare to those regular backyard umbra without treatment and the tilting mechanism can block the sun light in different direction. The color of green and blue make our back yard more colorful. Highly recommend.
