Belly Bandit Original Postpartum Adjustable Belly Wrap

Most of the advertisements for this product emphasize how small and beautiful you'll feel/look after/while wearing this product. The truth is, after having a baby, you're likely going to need the support. My ab muscles, after labor/delivery, were so worn out that I couldn't stand up straight after delivery. It took me a day or so to get around to pulling this out of the box because I was sitting/laying down most of my early week+ of recovery. *However* Once I put this thing on, I could finally stand up straight! I had the support I needed for walking around, and that was such a relief! I do think it helped my abs heal "back" where they needed to be. If you're curvy, like me, it's gonna bunch up in the back. I managed to get mine to fold over into one big fold, and that made it okay. Most of my friends who have tried it have had the same problem. Also, most of my friends and I needed more than one size. I needed the original size the first week (or so) and then after that I needed a smaller size. Some friends have had success sewing additional velcro to it to extend the usability of the first one. Others (like me) just bought a second size... 'cause it was easier (who wants to pull out the sewing machine when you're baby is 2wks old?)

I love the first belly bandit that I got for right after the birth. I wore it every day and it was wonderful. I didn't have one after my first kid and it felt like my guts were gonna fall out of me every time I stood up. This time with the belly bandit it was much easier to stand up straight even right after birth. Also my uterus contracted back to normal size in RECORD speed- my midwife was impressed. My stomach also shrunk much faster and I am pleased with the results. Once I shrank down to the smallest the first BB would go, I decided to get the next size down (extra small). This was a mistake. Even though the small is now too large, it was time to give up and go for their corset. The extra small just rolls up on itself and causes me to look all lumpy from outside my clothes so I can't really wear it anywhere besides the house, and the way it scrunches up is uncomfortable.

I just wanted to write a review for us bigger girls. I did not see any as I was reviewing this product. I loved this! I got it 2 weeks postpartum and it worked. I ordered a size large and I was at the max for inches. When I put it on the first time I did have to lay down as it was to small at first. I would have loved to have the problem where it got to big and I would have to buy the next size down but I didn't. I still love the results I got. In the first two days I noticed a difference. Yes, it is uncomfortable but worth it. I slept with it on, If you can handle it do it! Everywhere I went friends and family told me I looked great and didn't even look like I had a baby. Is that not the best thing you want to hear after having a baby!? That was so important because I'm already big so still having the rounded belly is not cool at all. I still wore it for another 2 weeks not all the time but alternating with shapewear and It seriously lifted my saggy after baby skin. So, I didn't have the pregnant look and my saggy skin was lifted believe me It's worth it.

I'll make this succinct as possible because that's what I wish someone had done for me. Because now I have it and can't return it. Before you spend loads of money on one of these things, assess your reasons for needing one. This isn't horrible and it isn't great. Here's how you make your decision. If you're wanting something for right after you give birth to pull your tummy in and help with ab separation, and you're going to be primarily staying at home, this will do the trick. But if you want something to pull you in to go out in public, this is not it. It's uncomfortable and rides up and sits under your breasts uncomfortably especially if you're breastfeeding and it's very obvious under clothing. However, it does help pull your abs together and flatten your stomach faster. For later when you want to pull things in when you go out in public, I found this too late but am thinking about buying it anyway. It's easy, doesn't ride up because it's a whole piece and it's not one of those annoying crotch corsets either. It's a compression tank top called the Tighty Wifey. I was skeptical to buy one of these but a friend of mine told me that it worked so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I didn't buy the Belly Bandit until I was 6 weeks postpartum (though I wish I would have done it sooner). Before I became pregnant, I weighted 115 lbs and after giving birth I was already down to 123 lbs but I still looked 4 months pregnant. I knew I was gonna have some work to do to get back in shape but I was not expecting my belly to be so distended. Lots of other moms assured me that it would go down in 6-9 months...6-9 months, I didn't want to buy a whole new wardrobe because of my belly! I thought about buying some shapewear but decided to try this first and I had immediate results (100% true story). Within 2 days my belly shape completely changed and flatten out and I had a belly button again! That's right up until this point my belly button was still sticking out and all stretched out. I was SO glad to have my belly button back!! I have been wearing the Belly Bandit for the last 10 days and I am still seeing results (though for me the most notable happened in the first 2 days). Totally believe in this product! It is not a miracle worker. I still have work to do on my belly and that will happen through diet and working out but the Belly Bandit DID reduce my pregnancy belly significantly enough that I can wear most of my old clothing and not look like I am still pregnant and that makes this product worth every penny!

i was so excited to get to order this while i was still pregnant, and planned to use it from the day of birth thru 6 or 8 weeks. i was QUITE disappointed when it was FAR from fitting me at the hospital. i ordered a cheaper abdominal binder off amazon after a few days of the BB still not fitting me. it was great- 4 days later i was able to get in to the BB and i was excited to switch. i've been wearing the BB for 3 days now and i am still quite disappointed in it. it bunches and rides up my back (making it completely noticable under even jeans and a tshirt), its incredibly uncomfortable (more so than just squishing all my insides LOL), i'm constantly pulling it down and almost have to re-do it every time i sit/stand up. i will say that it does seem to be working w/ the squishing the belly back down, but so did the much cheaper alternative (and it was actually semi-comfortable). i would definitely recommend the cheaper belt over this one to any of my friends.

I used this product in 2012 with my second child and swore by it. That one was very structured and made me feel pulled together, stable and was comfortable. THIS ONE IS NOT THAT. It did not fit the same way, creased after the first time wearing it and was not only painful to wear but did not make me feel like it was really doing much of anything after the first week because it was so bent out of shape and flimsy. I had high hopes of this product after the success I had with the product that existed a decade ago- but the quality has gone down significantly and I was very disappointed.

I am shocked by all of the low ratings for this product! I began wearing this garment approximately 24 hours after I gave birth (I was too sore to put it on right away). I gained 18-20 lbs during my pregnancy, and lost all of that weight within a week and a half. Now, I will say that a healthy diet and exercise have been a large part of my pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy plans, but there is no doubt that this item has helped my waist and stomach shrink back down to my pre-pregnancy size very quickly. I love how it gently waist cinches and works with my hormones to shape my torso. I find the garment to be very comfortable and try to wear it 24/7 (other than when I bathe, of course); I even sleep in it, that's how comfortable it is. I love how it holds my core in nice and tight, but not too tight, and provides support for my back, which helps with my posture. I plan on wearing it for 8-12 weeks.

The colours in the photograph selection do not match up to the text. I’ve ended up ordering the wrong colour as a result. Very annoying.

Es muy incómoda y no se adapta para nada a tu cuerpo. Al tener un solo velcro, cuesta poder ajustártela correctamente. A los dos días de llevarla ya tenía unas arrugas enormes que no había manera de quitarlas cosa que me hacía estar aún más incómoda. Nada contenta con la compra.

Wife wasn't able to use as it was too stiff/not comfortable. She was able to get the correct size (closed just enough) but it was too hurts to wear under her rib cage and difficult to sit with.

I bought this despite seeing mixed reviews and being curvy. The bff belly bandit is apparently more suited to curves but costs quite a bit more so thought id try this one. It takes a while to get used to wearing and it does crease and ride up where it doesn't really fit my shape. However, after wearing it for 5 days now I am amazed at the results. My stomach is not back to completely flat but is very close. Just need to tone myself up again. My back is less sore as the belly bandit really helps with posture. I would really recommend this item.

Oh my god so worth it!! I had a c section with my daughter and I couldn't wear it for a few days but then tried and it supported my stomach muscles rele well made me feel better in moving around and made my stomach go down so fast I was in my size 12 jeans after 2 months amazing product
