Good value and work very well, light is nice and bright. Have installed all around the house since learning how important this type of thing is after hurricane Helene. Have also given as gifts and very much appreciated.

Our main breaker required replacing. The electrician had his tools and parts all set to go. The electric company pulled the meter ... and it became VERY dark. I had three of these lights already plugged in and charged up. As soon as the meter was pulled, "your" lights ... I should say "our lights" illuminated the work area and it was safe for us to walk around the rooms where these wonderful and automatic lights illuminated the basement and stairwells. That's when the electrician could find his own flaslight. Thank you for an easy to use and reliable product. We now have them in every room.

Just as described by the saler, it stays on even when the electricity goes off due to power failure. It's light is bright and serves as an emergency flash light. I bought extras to give to each of my love ones and they greatly appreciated. My siblings and I are in m our 70's and now we all feel safe. I have one in the main hallway, one in leaving room, one in main bathroom and one in the kitchen. My siblings have purchased extras also.

These flashlights were a godsend during the power outages in Dallas during a recent winter storm. I bought a set of two and plugged one in on each floor of my townhouse. They light up when the power goes out, which makes them easy to find and get to in a dark house. The light is very bright, and the flashlights can be used in two ways, as a "normal" flashlight that shines light out of one end (handy when you need to see your way into a dark bathroom) or as a "standing" light you can set on a nightstand to provide room light. The only drawbacks I've discovered are: 1) the button you use to switch from one mode to another is a little difficult to operate and 2) I had to fiddle with it to get the outlet prongs pushed in when I removed it from the wall to use. Overall, I'm very happy with this product, especially for the price, and thankful I bought them.

Edit... Over a year later and still working. Yes they all worked when power outs happened. Florida hurricanes are no fun. Can not say how the recent ones are made but as of last year these lights were well made. Naturally remember to check recent reviews also....end Edit Got a 5 pack and tested a couple by darkening a room after these lights had been charged and pulling light out from wall. They instantly lite up and gave off enough light to see well enough in the room. Flash light is dimmer so just use the front panel lights when out of power if you need this to find flashlights. We live in Florida and for years our power would go out for most storms. Finally one the hurricanes brought crews from other states and they got into our back yards and fixed long needed routing systems and other issues. Was not the first time we had men out 'fixing' things but it was the first time it was a crew from somewhere else that brought so many guys and so much equipment out back that actually fixed out power outs going on so many years. Really nice crew. However power outages have taught me that I don't like stumbling around in the dark (esp. when kids were little and stressing about the dark) and so we always had flashlights all over the house stashed, lol. Now we have more cats who, well, cats and gravity, lol... that I did not want any cat below or our older dog getting hurt by heavy falling flash lights strategically placed. So these emergency lights are my solution as power outs still happen(just not for every thunder storm) for various reasons.

I bought these two years ago, and they work well in storms or when the power goes out. Highly recommend. You must keep them plugged in at all times so that when the power goes out, they're charged.

This is the 3rd time I have purchased these. I use them in my home, and give some to my children. As years go by, they don't last forever. However, they are best emergency lights around.

After two nights in a row of 3 hour unexpected power outages I placed 5 of these throughout my home. First of all, they light up when the power goes out so you can see where you are walking. Then you can pop them out of the power outlet to use as a flashlight if needed. Great safety addition. Immediately ordered 5 more to add one or two more at home, and save the other 3 for a second home. NOTE: They do not have a nightlight function.

Sold with an American plug - don't buy if you live in Europe! Also 120V not 240V. Come on Amazon! Ironically instead of saving your life - it may well end it!

Put these in the basement for the kids in case the power goes out. I like that they don't turn on when the lights go out. Power won't out recently and these things worked beautifully. With 2 spaced properly in my 1200 sq ft basement they lit the path to the stairs enough to not walk into anything. Did exactly what they're supposed to do. Very happy

This item does require an adapter but, having said that, adapters are easily available and once installed, they work brilliantly well. The instant mains power fails, the lamps come on with a very good spread of light. I am about to buy a second set and highly recommend them. It is a shame that the manufacturer doesn't offer a UK plug option but honestly, it takes two seconds to get them working with an adapter. A shaver adapter is ideal. Please don't be put off because of the plug aspect. I know that an adapter adds to the overall cost but there just isn't anything else out there which does what these lights do - instant light when the power fails. No more child panics and brilliant for the elderly who may not be able to get to the fuse panel. Only 4 stars because of the plug but otherwise 5 stars across the board.

The fact that I had to use an adaptor, to plug into UK Mains, resulted in it being bulky.
