Such a good coffee machine. Makes really good coffee. The functions are mostly easy to work out how to use if you follow the instructions on the manual. It's also really attractive on the countertop! Only gripe is that it only keeps your coffee warm for 45 mins, would prefer it to be longer. Would recommend.

This is truly a beautiful coffee maker and the coffee tastes great, including different settings for different strengths. I mainly bought it for the "wake up" function, which is fabulous. Several flaws are so striking, I don't understand why Smeg has not fixed them. As others have said, this cannot be filled under a cabinet, so I needed to place it on the only open work surface I had. It cannot be refilled with the coffee pot, which spills everywhere, so you need another bottle to fill the coffee maker. Also, the coffee pot it comes with has several flaws - it is a very ugly colour grey that does not match anything else on the machine; it does not pour well and you need a knack so it does not spill; you cannot put it in the dishwasher so it can ruin the overall look of the machine if you live in a hard water area. The function to allow for half a pot is not useful as the coffee does not get hot. I never make a full pot and was SO disappointed. I finally DID make a full pot and realised it CAN get hot, so now I have given up on the half pot. It also needed lime scale cleaning after only about 15 uses, which was a bit crazy. But I still give it a four star as it is just so beautiful! And once you do make a whole pot, it stays very hot for an hour in the morning.

Quality bit of kit that looks great in any kitchen!

I bought this drip coffee maker to match other SMEG kitchen items. It looks nice and makes perfectly decent coffee, just as good as the cheap coffee maker it replaced. However, there are a few niggly issues which people should be aware of. The aperture where you add water is quite small and if you are using the coffee jug with the measures, e.g. 2 cups 4 cups et cetera, then it is impossible to empty it fully into the coffee maker because it clashes with a coffee maker lid. I usually end up dribbling water everywhere. Also, when pouring heated coffee out, again it is very difficult to pour without dribbling. None of this is a major problem but the £30 coffee maker is replaced was much better, but of course it didn’t have the words Smeg written across the front.!

Bought this on recommendation of 2 people and I’m not disappointed. It is easy to use, very quick and straightforward to clean. Keeps the coffee warm for 30 minutes. Slight downside is pouring the water in as it’s almost at right angle and can spill a bit, but it certainly isn’t a huge problem. I would recommend this product.

I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is. Although this is replacing a bean to cup ugly black coffee maker he still likes the coffee. As a non coffee drinker, it fits the aesthetic of my Farrow and Ball Teresa's Green kitchen being an intense version of the sane colour.
