It's a perfect and easy spell checker
This little speller is perfect to use when your unsure of spelling. It's small, but you can see the screen without problems. Fits in your pocket or purse. I recommend this device

Teacher approved!
This is my third time purchasing this Franklin spell checker and I am very pleased with all three of them. I bought the first one for my daughter because a spell checker was recommended for my daughter who is dyslexic by her dyslexia remediation tutor. I purchased a second one so she could have one at home and one at school. I purchased the third one for my middle school English classroom. I wish more teachers would have tools like this spellchecker available for students in their classrooms. It is well made, the battery life is better than I expected and it has an excellent word selection.

Included battery was dead
Battery was dead on arrival. The tab to prevent battery connection was not there, probably why battery was dead.

Display does not show more than 8 characters
This spell corrector could not be used on anything more than 8 characters due to the display having a blank area. It is also has very tiny keys!

Webster's Spelling Corrector
The spell checker does the job - however I was disappointed in its size. It is pictured as being bigger than it actually is. It's about the size of a cell phone.

Great communicator for non-verbal person
My son is non-verbal and can't write due to a stroke. He is learning to use this as a communication tool and it is working very well! He is making simple words on it and it has been so good to add this as a form of communicating with him!

good for game while waiting
When my father passed in 2003 I inherited his Webster device. It just now quit working not bad for 20+ years of service!!

Didn’t help as a spell corrector
Not the best at helping a phonetic speller find correct spelling.
