Must-Have Programming Cable for Any Comm Kit
Must-Have Programming Cable for Any Comm Kit I have several sets of these MIRKIT 6-in-1 programming cables, and they’ve been awesome. Works perfectly across multiple radios—Baofeng, Wouxun, Kenwood, Motorola, and Yaesu—making it a versatile tool for any ham or comm setup. Reliable, easy to use, and essential to keep in your communication kits.

They worked perfectly and the new USB dongle has a real driver!
I only needed three of the set and all three work perfectly. I'm also thankful that there's a real driver for this new USB dongle where I don't have to deal with that crazy prolific back reving game. These were flawless!

TIDradio H8 and Yaesu FT-65
TIDradio H8 and Yaesu FT-65 approved! Quick, high quality and works with my two HT’s. No issue, glad I can finally use chirp.

If your cable does not sit flat, you need to cut the plastic until it does
I have a Baofeng GT-3TP. The cable wouldn't work regardless of the CHIRP settings I applied. I noticed that the cable did not sit flat when connected to the radio since there is plastic on the cable that is in the way. So, I took a sharp razor and carefully shaved off this plastic. Then it was able to sit flat, and the cable immediately worked. Look at the connection in the attached image. See how the black plastic of the cable does not touch the radio above the connection? That's because I had to shave it off.

Worked right out of the box
I bought this because I have a variety of HT's all using different cables. This purchase was due to my recent buy of a Yaesu FT-65R and Yaesu wants a fortune for their cable. I connected the USB end, Windows assigned it COM 3, I picked the adapter that seemed to be right, and it worked right out of the box, first try. Of course, I relabelled the adapter so I pick the right one next time. No complaints with this one. Saved me at least $20 over OEM.

Baufeng troubleshooter
If you are having issues connecting your handheld to your pc these are the answer. For some reason after Windows 10 the included connection cable is not recognized. These will be recognized. Sent a set out to my brother because he really became a fan of handhelds and has different brands and models.

looks good physically but unfortunately -did not work
the cable itself looks nicely made physically but it failed where it mattered. Connected to my laptop, got chirp, connected my radio...but the wire refused transmit/receive. It was advertised as plug and play but was not. I have a lenovo running on latest version of windows so nothing missing on my end. Did some research and found posts on forums saying that i might be missing the driver for the ftdi chip...i did not want to mess around much on my laptop, bought it recently for 2 grand and did not want to put in any download which was not 100% trustworthy. Tried and tried the next day and then gave up and sent the cable back as it was not worth my time to go on struggling to try and make it work.

Worth a little extra for the FTDI chip
When programming using CHIRP, using an cable with a prolific chip can be a major pain. Between having to roll back drivers to stopping updates, it is a lot of work to save a few bucks. This cable works fine with no games because of the FTDI chip. The changeable cable ends are a plus, so I don't need multiple cables.
