Loved it! Now I hate it.
I initally reviewed this product after the first use and I did not know why there were so many negative reviews. Well, now I know. I waited the entire pool season (in NJ) before making a final judgement. This STINKS!!! It never picked up a particle after the first time I used it. The way it is designed, even a 3000gph pump does not provide enough power to move it back and forth across the pool. Don't waste your money. I could not change my stars but this is NOT EVEN ONE STAR. Total disappointment. First Review.... This is not a toy It is an automatic pool cleaner even though it looks like a toy. This is so great. It has changed the way I feel about having our above ground pool. Instead of having to constantly vacuum the pool manually, I can now go out in the morning, hook up the hose and flip the switch. It's that easy. I let it run for about four hours, it needs that long to thoroughly clean my 15' pool. This device was easy to connect and the instructions were easy to understand. If you have an above ground pool. Get it!!! I've read posts that it is not that durable. This is my first season using it so I can't really speak to that. For me, it's working great.

Worked Much better Than Expected
First, I gotta say I was very reluctant and very skeptical about this automatic cleaner. My 26' Coleman pool came with a 2500 GPH cartridge filter pump, and I was worried that it wouldn't have enough oomph to propel the cleaner around the pool. I hooked the thing up according to the instructions, and turned on the pump. This little bugger scooted around my pool with ease, and moved quickly! The description says it is for a 24' or smaller diameter pool, but I figured I could add a few feet of hose if I needed to. Well, once I hooked it up and let it go, I found that it easily covered the entire pool bottom with no issues whatsoever. This thing is a cleaning maniac! It took about 2 1/2 hours to completely sweep and clean the bottom of my pool, but it did an amazing job. I am very pleased with this cleaner, and would highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend all their time manually vacuuming and cleaning their pool bottom by hand. This cleaner hooks up to the pump DISCHARGE line, not the suction side. If your pump has enough discharge pressure, it will zip around your pool like nobody's business! I upgraded my pump to a 3000 GPH sand filter pump, and this thing works even better!

Don’t waste your good money
This item is horrible! Won’r even cover the whole pool area(above ground) stops in the middle and returns where it started. I have tried several things to get it to work correctly. Also it does not pick up sand or leaves . The only thing coming out of the catcher is sediment from build up. Truly a disappointment UPDATE: we purchased a new pump and the vac moved around the way its supposed to for about 40 min. Then nothing. I pulled it out and checked the capture tray and there was hardly anything in it. These is plenty for it to pick up. I did a backwash and put it back in and it ran back and forth for about 10 min. I am over this piece of junk. TRASH

Love this product (but some small things to be aware of)
Love, love, love our pool-bot. The engineering and design of this product is genius in its simplicity. There are a couple of small things that could be a little better. - I believe the pool we are using this in is larger than recommended but it seems to work fine. We manually move it to the far end once or twice a week. Our pool is about 15' x 30' above ground. - It does an AMAZING job of keeping our pool clean. OUR POOL HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER :) :) :) - It works great when the filter is fully functional but if I don't keep up with cleaning the filter and the pressure drops pool-bot slows down and tends to be limited in the area it covers (as would be expected, entirely not an issue). - The adapter that came with this did not fit our filter. We needed to get and adapter to get it hooked up. - The only real issue is that we have a bunch of divots in the bottom of our pool from leaks that have been patched over the years. Pool-bot runs on 4 wheels and if one of the wheels falls into the divot it gets stuck and needs to be manually pushed out. Pool-bot is actually super entertaining and scoots around our pool like a champ.

It kind of works, but not really well
You get what you pay for, which in this case is not much. It picks up leaves, but it takes about 2 or 3 hours what you can pick up in about 10 minutes with your old fashioned net. It also rolls around the bottom a lot faster than I was expecting. That's not really a good thing, since it A) rolls right over leaves before it's had a chance to suck them up, and B) kicks up any fine sediment, flocculant, etc. without sucking it up, leaving your pool cloudy for the rest of the day. This would be ok if you already have a clean pool with a few leaves and some minor spots of dirt to run through, but by then you already have a fairly clean pool, and that kind of defeats the purpose of getting an auto pool cleaner in the first place, doesn't it? It's like having to spend 30 minutes washing dishes by hand so your subpar dishwasher can actually clean the dishes. If you're trying to save time and energy keeping your pool actually clean and good looking, you're going to have to resign yourself to the fact that you are going to need to spend more money on something that actually works as intended.

Had it quite a while. Cleans great. Unfortunately it won't get the corner but I understand why. Call it vacubot had to get some brushes they will wear out occasionally but works great

1/3 utility pump solves my weak pump
So I have a 15 foot pool intex a or c filter pump which pumps 1000 gph. Will not move. Wasted 3 hours trying to make work. Even would nudge it forward. Then it would go. But would stop . Waited for it to go the opposite way. No. Nudged. Would go. Stops. Wait for it to go. No. Had new filter. Even tried blocking one intake hole. Nope. No not stuck on seam. Hose cut to recommend length. Air completely removed from hose and device. Super bummed and frustrated. I found a solution. I first was looking to upgrade. But prices went up. $300 for a $130 pump. No way. I bought a utility 1/3 hp pump. Works awesome. This cruises along no problem. No more youtube videos on taping wheels or other stuff. Goes over seams and lots of bumps from an uneven bottom. Just use the utility pump with the vacuum and the pool pump does its own thing separately. Super happy now.

Very disappointed with this device
I have a full Intex saltwater pool - 24' round softside, with Intex sand filter and Intex salt chlorine generator. The apparent advantages of this cleaner seem obvious, no power required, no external booster pump, inexpensive. Hower, its functionality leaves much to be desired. First, a little background on how this thing works. It's pretty simple, the cleaner sits on four swiveling wheels with rubber "tires". Included in the package is an adapter that replaces the outlet jet on the side of your pool (it screws on the inside of the pool; you don't have to disconnect any hoses). That adapter then connects to the hoses, which in turn connect to the cleaner. The hoses are a combination of short and longer, alternating with a float and a rotator, and making one hose long enough to reach all points in the pool. The floats keep the hoses on the surface, the rotators allow the cleaner to move around the pool without tangling the hose. The end of the final hose (which is longer than the others) connects into the cleaner, held in place with a stainless steel hose clamp. The cylindrical tubes on either side of the cleaner are passive, and I'm not sure what they are supposed to accomplish The cleaner is propelled by two jets, one on each end. Inside there is a device that receives the water from the hose, and forces water through the jets, alternating direction every 30 seconds or so. There's a space between the output of the device and the jet, and the water exiting the jets creates suction, which draws debris through a slot in the bottom, and then into a screened compartment, which then needs to be cleaned out. Because the wheels all swivel, movement of the cleaner is more or less random, although constricted by the weight and position of the hose on the surface. One thing you need to be aware of is that you definitely need to observe the minimum GPH ratings of your filter as noted in this item's description (and on the box and instructions). When I first connected this, the cleaner would start moving for a while, and then stop at random. I eventually determined it was because my filter needed to be backwashed, so the pressure was lower than normal. If you have one of those small filters where the pump is in the bottom of the filter cartridge holder, that won't be sufficient to run this. Now, the first problem: the rotators have a tendency to bind up (they also leak a little, but since the water is going back into the pool, this isn't a big deal). Now, I don't know if it's because mine is a saltwater system, but there are no warnings against using this in a saltwater pool. When the rotators start binding, the hose can twist back on itself and restrict the cleaner's movement. The second problem is that the water shooting out of the jets has a tendency to blow the debris out of the way. Now, normally this shouldn't be a problem, since the propelling jet is in the back and the cleaner is moving forward, but when it reverses, particularly when it's against the pool's wall, the debris that it should have picked up on its return motion has now been moved elsewhere. The third problem is that the suction in the cleaner is not very high, and unless the debris is directly underneath the slot (which is less than half the width of the cleaner), it will not pick it up. And the last problem is that due to the method of propulsion and the heavy hose, it tends to mostly ignore the sides of the pool. The result of all this is that you have a pool with a clean middle but lots of dirt around the edge. I ran this cleaner for at least a week, 8 hours a day, and after all that time, the sides were still dirty. And I'm only talking about things like leaves and pine needles that have absorbed water and sunk to the bottom. Luckily I haven't had an algae issue, so no real scrubbing was required. Another issue is that removing the cleaner from the pool is a bit of work (and you need to remove it before you use the pool). You first have to disconnect the hose from the filter outlet, but don't remove it from the pool, since water will start siphoning out if you do that. Then pull on the hose until you get the cleaner at the edge where you're standing. Pull up on the hose until the cleaner is just below the surface, but don't pull it out of the water by the hose, since that can damage it. Grab the cleaner with two hands and lift it out of the water. Hold it until the water drains out (I would tip it to left and right to get everything out), then put it down on the ground. While you're putting it down, ensure that all the water from the hose drains back into the pool, otherwise, again, you can start siphoning water out. Slowly continue to pull the hose out of the water as it drains until it's all out. In the end I ended up returning this. I probably could have dealt with the difficulty in pulling the cleaner out, but the fact that it didn't successfully clean the entire pool made the entire episode an exercise in futility.

Nöjd
Snabb leverans. Billig. Bra packeterat.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!!

It's better than using a net!
I purchased this to work with a 20ft round frame pool with a 2100gal/hour sand pump, I've upgraded from a prior 15ft pool where I could whirlpool the debris into the centre and then sweep it into a net, this daily exercise was a pain and with a bigger pool, a bigger pain. We've had it a month. You just lower the cleaner into the pool, attach the hose to the pump water outlet (the sand filter needs to be clean to work well) and the cleaner uses the water outlet pressure to move around the pool and create a slight pressure drop in the unit to gradually pick up the annoying small bits of debris in the pool. It moves backwards and forwards, seemingly missing most of the bits, but after you have left it a few hours on its own, hey presto, it has collected all the bits which can be dumped out of the unit when you pull it out of the pool, leaving the bottom lovely and clean. As we have a pool heater, it has the added advantage that it pipes the warmer water to the bottom of the pool, so getting a more even pool temperature (all these above ground pools normally send the water only to the top). So, it's relatively cheaper than a creepy crawly, it seems to have all the right attachments to work with Intex pools, it moves the water around the pool and looks cute as it changes direction very gradually cleaning the pool for hours on end while I don't have to sweep up. Things to watch out for. It seems to need the bigger pool attachments that come with the 1.5" hoses on 18ft and above pools. It is driven around the pool by pressure, with a filter cartridge pump you probably don't have enough pressure to get it working. Backwash the pool sand before use. It has an extra filter on the pool attachment, that also needs to be cleaned, otherwise it will stop working. Finally, if you have any significant lumps underneath your pool, it can get stuck on them. But so far, it has been a lot better than sweeping up the debris each day, we put it in the pool when not swimming and it has saved me 15 minutes a day of cleaning for a month, so well happy. N.B. Review update. I purchased this for £55 on Amazon, for some reason it's gone up nearly 50% - so check what else is available too.
