CRAFTSMAN Long Cut Snips — Great for Ductwork and Straight Runs
The Craftsman Long Cut snips are an excellent blend of aggressive cutting power and comfortable ergonomics, making them ideal for HVAC work or cutting sheet metal roofing. The straight, long blades are the defining feature, delivering a clean, precise cut path without the need for multiple re-grabs, significantly speeding up long runs in materials like 24-gauge ductwork or vinyl siding. Crucially, the induction hardened cutting edge held up perfectly even after repeatedly cutting tougher materials, showing no signs of dulling or nicking. The spring-assisted latch is easy to operate one-handed, which is a small but important detail for efficiency when you're working overhead or positioning material. My only critiques are minor but worth noting for heavy-duty users. While the bi-material grips are comfortable and prevent slippage, the overall tool leverage sometimes felt slightly less aggressive than a traditional offset snip when trying to cut at the maximum rated 18GA cold-rolled steel thickness—it definitely requires solid hand strength. Additionally, these are specifically for straight cuts; trying to force anything beyond a very gentle curve causes the blades to bind slightly, so they are not a replacement for a dedicated offset pair. Overall, if your primary need is speed and accuracy on long, straight lines, the Craftsman Long Cut snips are a highly recommended, durable addition to the toolbox that lives up to the brand's reputation.

Great for aluminum gutters
These worked well for cutting my aluminum gutters. They were ergonomic and sharp. So I didn’t need to apply much grip force.

Nice Snips, especially for the price.
These work very well. I am so tired of snips that just bend wire over because the jaws are not assembled close enough.

✂️ corta telha trapezoidal galvalume
A tesoura atende a necessidade de corte reto. Utilizei para cortar telhas galvalume trapezoidais, pintura eletrostática, espessura 1,0 mm e largura 1,05 m. Ponto positivo: corte macio , aproximadamente 50 mm.
