The author's painstaking research and attention to detail is obvious in the writing of this book. There were many facts that I only discovered after reading this!

I read just the sample, and quickly determined that this was an excuse book. The author seems to allow misconduct based on poverty, unemployment, past perceptions. I didn't need to read anymore.

Critical thinking related to how we align public safety in communities of color with respect and dignity, as well as how we go about reforming the institutions that have allowed police misconduct and violence to perpetuate.
