JEWELRY WOODEN BOX Handmade Linden Wood Keepsake, Made in Poland

I bought this for my boyfriend who is sincerely the hardest person to buy anything for... He's a simple man and says he has "what he needs." So this little box is literally a godsend for those ladies who are just stuck buying their man a gift! A box like this is something he wouldn't think of needing, but is extremely useful and a thoughtful, elegant gift. My boyfriend loves it! It's so nice and has proven itself very useful. He keeps things like coins, ticket stubs, cuff links, wallet sized pictures, and other little things of his laying around inside. I also think it's better for a man anyway because it is smaller and doesn't have compartments like a woman's jewelry box would need. It is incredibly beautiful and well made, opens and closes smoothly, and it's durable as well, and doesn't seem to scratch anything--it is not padded and he keeps it on his wooden dresser. Also has a very earthy, "woodshop" smell which leads me to believe it really is handmade. Absolutely worth the money.

It’s a beautiful box, well made, with a red velvet bottom inside. My husband loved it, so I thought I’d get one for my son. Buyer beware. There are many sellers of this box, and I made the mistake of ordering from a different seller from the first, and got a box that did not look like the picture...the design was barely visible, and the wood wasn’t as pretty. So I returned/reordered, and got another dud. I discovered that I didn’t use the same seller as the first, and once I ordered from them again, I got another beautiful box. It was more expensive, but worth it. Good one was around $38.00 sold by MILMA Art Gift Shop.

In q and a I asked if the internal dimensions were big enough to store two packs of cards in the box. I gave the dimensions required. A customer responded that his wife used it for that purpose. If she did, she did not use standard cards. The internal dimensions are 5 5/16 by 2 3/32nds with a bottom section depth of 1 3/8 inch The box is nicely made with a nicely fit cover. It however is much to smalll for the purpose purchased for. The workmanship is excellent. The materials are decent grade, but nothing special. Given the exactness of the joints and overall fit I would assume that the box came off of a good qc production line. The cut and fit are to precise to have been hand cut and fitted.the internal wood is unfinished, thus it will get soiled unless something like polyurethane is applied. Don't use wax. It yellows with age. The box was extreme;y well packaged.

My hubby was needing a nice box for his night table and this delivers. Early Father's Day gift. I with held one star because if dies not quite close all the way because it needs a bit more sanding for a proper fit. I can do this myself as I have done woodworking in the past.. Far, far better quality than anything company out of China these days. It is made in Poland, and like Polish artisan stoneware/dinnerware it is lovely and well executed.

The workmanship is very evident. I received the product in short timeframe and was able to add to a retirement gift planned for a co-worker. I used this item as a "memory box" for all the cards and well-wishes that co-workers sent him. It was not too feminine nor masculine that it could not be used for other things in the future. The lock and key feature made it more special because it could hold some personal items. It was a good choice for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

The exterior of this box is very pretty, both the wood and the carvings. However, it is tiny inside, and the lid sticks. Check the measurements carefully. I bought it as a place for my husband to drop his keys on an entry table. It would not fit keys and a wallet.
