Cheap, lightweight. I'm glad I gave it a 2nd chance.
This was bought to replace an existing one that had slopping rails and all but heeled shoes slid off. This comes with a gazillion pieces. It is not difficult to put together but does take a little time. Personally, time vs no tools ease; ease wins. My husband loved the no tools. Our first order came in a badly damaged, open ended box with no long poles at all. Everything inside had been opened and flying loosely around. With Amazon prime and making sure the product had free returns (not all Amazon prime products are, they MUST state it in description) we returned and ask for a replacement. I am glad we gave it a 2nd chance. I put it in my closet where I only had an 11.5 inch depth to the left of my door. If fit perfectly. I was concerned with the height of the shelf unit making it topple prone; with the new carpet, it is not. Also, I put the heels of shoes at the back and this puts more weight toward the back helping stabilize it against the wall. The mesh net and light pole system would not support anything heavy. I am putting a couple of my empty purses on the top shelf. I have not counted, but with bunching my flip flops and slippers, and with my husbands shoes, there are about 30 pairs of shoes on this rack and some spare room. If any of my 7 kids still lived at home, I would buy this for their room as well. It would easily hold stuffed animals or other such light weight things like some spare sheets, pillows, light blankets but the spacing between shelves would not allow anything very tall or very fat. I could see a number of uses besides shoes such as light weighted toys. This is by no means a shelf unit for pokey sharp things. Heels are fine as adults won't jam them down. Kids Tonka trucks would damage them. It is not sturdy enough for books either, unless they are the cloth, baby kind. They could be used as a clothing shelf in a pinch if there were not to many or not jammed in. If stuffed animals were put on this and it toppled down on a little one, a light bruise and a big scare is about all that might happen. I'm not sure about what would happen if a kid tried to use it as a ladder. As a mom of 7, that could happen with anything. Just use common sense and expect kids to do stupid things. I can't see anyone not surviving any mishap with this...... well...... they could take it apart and play pirates or try using them as tinker toys. LOL UPDATE: JAN 2025 The shelf unfortunately was converted to hold thousands of dollars in medical supplies. This still works very well and is in as good a shape as the day we put it up almost 5 years ago. I did lay an 8 inch by 4ft board on a couple shelfs to extend the length of the shelf for more storage for saline, wipes, and sprays which are too heavy for the material but not the shelf if liquids are dispersed over a couple shelves. It was just a piece of laminate tiling we opted not to do floors in. This did strengthen the shelf for some heavier items and we put those on the lower shelves. However, because there was more weight with all the supplies, I ran a thin piece of board under the front legs to tilt the shelf back and prevent any falling forward. I could have used a zip tie on a stud but I am not a handy person. Sadly, this item is currently unavailable or I would order another immediately. I am currently looking for a similar product. I love the fact it has some material on the sides preventing things from falling out the side. It is VERY light and easy to move in one piece; just not loaded down though. It could have a few things on it as mine did the first year. DEFINITELY RECCOMEND if bought for right purposes and I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Saves space.
This is a space saver for me. Almost held 3 pair of shoes on each shelf depending on the shoe boxes. If not in boxes it would hold 3 pairs. It was easy to put together. Lots of parts, and the directions were not great, but it was easy to figure out. It is very light weight and serves itโs purpose.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I purchased this shoe rack to replace my old plastic one. In 35 minutes my new shoe rack was all assembled. So easy, no tools required! A simple twisting motion makes assembly a breeze. This shoe rack is sturdy enough for my purpose-holds all our shoes at the back of my walk-in closet. I believe it's a good value.

Pain to assemble
It's a pain to assemble but it was pretty good once it was together. Light construction. If you left it outside in a stiff breeze it would blow away. Tie a string to it and you could fly it like a kite. It still works well and holds a bit of weight. Great for organizing shoes and other stuff.

Holds 20 or more pairs.
You have to lay the boots down. You can only put 2 pairs on a shelf. It cleans up the room nicely. It was easy to assemble and so neat I want to jump for joy. I never lose a mate. I'm just so pleased with it.

Instructions text makes no sense.
I chose this because I needed a narrow and tall shoe rack. It finally worked out, but the instructions were useless and it was hard to put together because some of the metal pipes were difficult to insert into the plastic interfaces-- zero quality control--and the instructions provided no help, though the diagrams did show you how it was supposed to come out. If you buy this, you will probably have to figure out your own way to put it together through trial and error as I did. Be aware that when you start putting it together from the bottom up, when you have stacked all the shelves you will be turning it upside down. SO you want the F items (what is called non-woven fabric) to be wrong side up in order for them to be right side up when you turn the whole thing over. Also, though it may appear it doesn't matter which way the 3-cornered interface goes, it matters. You need to have the shortest side down (at the bottom of each shelf). I found I needed a hammer to bang the pipes in as far as they could go. I had to try to enlarge some of the plastic holes. I almost gave up along the way, but I persevered, and I am finally pleased with the outcome. If you need something narrow and tall and have a few hours to put it together, I guess it's worth it. I do have arthritis in my hands, so people with strong hands might find it more easily assembled than I did.

Good Storage
Recently moved and lost some closet space. This rack fits perfect in my smaller closet and stands pretty sturdy. Shakes around a bit when other items brush against it, but it's still a good purchase. Took about 5 minutes to understand the assembly and about 30 to complete it.

Perfect for small space in my laundry room
Perfect width and depth for a small space in my laundry room. Very light weight and easy to install. I did use an anchor to secure it to the wall so it doesnโt wiggle when taking shoes on/off.
