Nextbase Dash Cam Add-On Rear View Exterior Camera Compatible 322GW 422GW 522GW 622GW-Black

Bought this for my husband and have had it for quite some time now and he still loves it.

When attached to Nextbase frontal camera it puts a picture within picture so you can see the activity in both front and back cameras at the same time. This rear view camera is intended to look out the rear window. There is also an identical looking back up camera intended for viewing the interior of the car as well as a camera which mounts directly to the rear window. The latter is more difficult to instal and probably intended for larger SUVs. The system as whole works great.

The rear camera is extremely easy to use with it just attaching directly to your Nextbase dashcam. The optics swivel so you can adjust the view so that you can record the biggest picture as possible. It is easy to adjust with the dashcam giving you a live picture. The recorded view is just like the view you get thru your rearview mirror. I just wish the optics had a little stronger magnification so the objects recorded were larger. The recording is clear and sharp and records in its own file. So with this attachment, you get two recordings for each use. I would definitely recommend this for anybody that had purchased their dashcam.

item works great and is a lot easier/less hassle than having to run hard wires back to a rear mounted dash cam. Just plug in and your ready to roll. Highly recommend! full disclosure is that you give up a little from a video picture perspective vs rear mount but very happy with the product.

I really enjoy this product In that I can record the cars behind me in case someone hits me. Then I have it saved to my SD card.

I was dubious about it picking up a rear view, It did! I don't knew how it compares to the dedicated rear window camera.

I have had the Nextbase forward facing camera for a couple years now and didn't want to buy a new camera with rear camera. after installing this add-on, I noticed that the night vision was very poor. I returned it and will have to upgrade to a whole new system.

I ordered this for my Nextbase 322 and it plugged in easily and started right up. The problems started happening when the car started getting hot in the NoVA are in the summer. The rear facing camera would just go out and I had to unplug it. If you adjust the camera on it, it causes the video to "white out" and then you have to find a happy spot to get it to come back. When it does work, the video is good and have no problems; the issues are with high car temps and the camera on this module fails frequently. I recommend listening to some of the other reviewers about the next base cameras regarding high temps in the car.

Bin sehr zufrieden mit der Kamera. Nach lesen einiger Rezensionen war ich etwas skeptisch, was die einfache Installation und Bedienung dieser Zusatzkamera betrifft. Da man die Linse aber leicht im Winkel Zur Hauptkamera verändern kann, gestaltet die Installation sich doch relativ einfach. Ist die Kamera eingesteckt, kann man auf der Hauptkamera durch einen Klick auf das Bild der Rückfahrkamera dieses vergrößern. Noch besser funktioniert die Positionierung beider Kameras über die Live Ansicht in der App. Ich habe die Hauptkamera rechts hinter dem Rückspiegel positioniert und gerade ausgerichtet. Dann habe ich diese Zusatzkamera auf die Heckscheibe ausgerichtet, durch das verdrehbare Teleobkjektiv war das sehr einfach. Es sind lediglich Personen auf der Rückbank zu sehen, Fahrer und Beifahrer kann man bei meiner Positionierung nicht auf der Aufnahme sehen. Die Ecken der Heckscheibe sind nur sehr knapp nicht auf der Aufnahme zu sehen (Opel Insignia B Grand Sport). Kennzeichen von folgenden oder vorbeigefahrenen Fahrzeugen sind durch das Teleobjektiv aus größerer Entfernung zu erkennen als auf der Hauptkamera (522GW). Bei Fahrzeugen die nur wenige Meter entfernt sind, kann man aber im Gegensatz zu einer Heckscheibenkamera kein Kennzeichen sehen. Für mich ist diese Kamera die optimale Ergänzung zur 522GW. Da ich einen geleasten Firmenwagen nutze, kam für mich eine aufwendige Installation einer Heckscheibenkamera nicht in Frage und ich wurde von diesem Zusatzmodul nicht enttäuscht.

Absolutely fantastic and cost effective addition to my next base dash cam. I had thought about getting a rear facing one for years, but just hadn't got round to it... this little guy arrived just in time as two weeks after I installed it, some muppet drove in to the back of us at a roundabout, there was no question or agreement who was at fault. picture quality was great.
