Worth every penny!
I have always had an issue with athletes foot. I ended up getting a toenail infection that I could not control and resulted in me having to have my toenail completely removed. It was embarrassing because I am huge in taking care of my feet. My doctor recommended this purchase to help minimize and eliminate foot fungus and athletes foot, especially during this recovery time. It takes a minimum of a year for your toenail to grow back completely and it is important to keep it clean to avoid bacteria from being trapped under the nail as it grow back. I was hesitant but made the purchase. It's a reasonable size so it fits in most adult shoes. It is great quality and strong. It is completely quit. I thought it would be loud but you can't hear it at all. And it only takes 15 minutes for the treatment to be done. It's fast and easy to use and easy to store. I keep it under my shoe rack so I can easily treat my shoes after I am done wearing them for the day. The difference this has made!

The warranty timer works perfectly.
Worked fine for almost two years. One lamp stopped working, so I bought two replacements. Now, the left shoe unit will not light the lamp at all...even swapping the lamps, the problem is in the power to the lamp in that unit. Called customer service and their “solution” is to buy another one. Way too expensive for that amount of useful service and no offer to make what is most likely a simple repair. I have so much invested in replacement lamps, that I’m going to open it up and try and fix it myself. But it’s a sure thing that I will never buy another thing from Sterishoe.

Meh..
Not worth the price. Constantly throws false bulb and movement errors, so annoying. Shoes smell good at least when using the scent pouches. Wouldn't buy again.

Troubleshooting instructions worked well
So far so good after one week of use. Have had a few times when it wouldn't work when I pressed the start button, but I followed the troubleshooting instructions, which indicated the inserts were not seated in the shoe firmly enough. Once I snugged them up, it started right up.

Made in USA, quality seems good, works as described
TLDR: Overall the sterishoe+ UV shoes sanitizers seem to work well and are of decent build and construction. This UV shoe sterilizer seems decently well made. I've only had it for a week, so I can't yet speak for it's efficacy, but it seems to work so far. I suffer from very sweaty and stinky feet, so this is part of my 3-part plan to stop ruining shoes/work boots. It has built-in frying fans and also offers a deodorizer compartment, in addition to the actual UV lights. I bought this one because, after doing some research, it seems that Pedifix/Sterishoe is an American brand. There is a safety button that depresses when they are properly seated in your shoes, to minimize exposure to UVC light (since UV-C is harmful to cells after all). Immediately upon coming home from work, I stick the sanitizers deep in my boots (like the packaging when you buy a new pair of shoes) and run a 15 minute cycle. I then pull them out a bit so the light can sanitize the upper ankle part of the boots. Lastly, I plop my boots on a dedicated dryer. This 3-pronged attack seems to work so far. The SteriShoe+ sanitizers fit fine in my size 11 boot. I assume they would fit just fine in a smaller shoe/boot, however they are very clearly for adult sized shoes. Any normal men's or women's shoe should be able to handle them just fine. I will update this review to 5 stars in a few weeks if this new pair of boots can remain fresh and new smelling! Or at least not reek.

DONT LET THE BAD REVIEWS SWAY YOU!
When I saw the SteriShoe on Amazon, I thought it was a brilliant solution to the reoccurrence of toenail fungus that has plagued me for 5 years. Then I read the reviews. They were terrible. I was really disappointed. I depend on reviews to help me decide whether to make purchases on Amazon - I mean, we are buying things that we haven’t even SEEN, much less seen in action. I found the main phone number for SteriShoe and called them. I wanted someone to “sell” me on this product. A young lady answered, and she was NOT a salesman. I desperately tried to get her to tell me the reasons I should buy the product - she couldn’t. I asked her why the Amazon reviews were so bad - she hadn’t read them. I was sooo over her attitude. I hung up and tried to forget about SteriShoe. I called back. This time I got a more seasoned salesman who stood by the product, enjoyed working for the company, and gave me some good advice about replacement bulbs (don’t buy them when you buy the SteriShoe because the warranty for both begins when you purchase them. Wait until you actually need a replacement bulb, then the warranty will begin at purchase and the bulb will be under warranty should it be defective and will be replaced). So I bought the SteriShoe. ITS FANTASTIC!!!!! I don’t know if the light actually purifies the shoe of fungus and bacteria (I’m not a pathologist), but it has a FAN and a scent packet that dries the shoe and leaves it smelling fresh. The mere action of putting the device in my shoes makes me more aware of my responsibility to keep my shoes cleaner and healthier. I pulled out the Dr. Scholl’s inserts in the first pair I used the device in - the inserts were filthy, disintegrating, and smelled like crap. I pulled out all the comfort inserts in all my shoes and ditched them. I’m replacing them as I wear the shoes. I ordered the SteriShoe 2 months ago - I use it every day. It’s EASY to use. It is NOT fickle - just read the instructions for chrissakes. The lights blink a bit as the device boots up and verifies the 2 safety checks - the button on the back heel is depressed (if the device has been inserted upside-down, or isn’t level) and the room light is not hitting the device (which means that the UV light from the device is not escaping into the room - it can damage your eyes if u stare at it.). I just dim the room lights and I don’t use the bag and it works fine. I don’t understand the bad reviews. This gadget kicks ass. I’ll update in a few months to let y’all know if it is helping to keep my particular strain of toenail fungus at bay. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy having clean, healthy, nice-smelling shoes thanks to SteriShoe!!!!!

Defective product
Product came in defective. After first try "Bulb" indicator was blinking with error message. Did not work after troubleshooting. Very disappointed in quality of the item. Too late to return, since I did not test it immediately after arrival.

The only premium part of this product is the price tag.
When you spend nearly $200 on a product, you expect a premium experience right out of the box. Unfortunately, when mine arrived, it looked used—as if it had been previously returned. To make matters worse, one of the bulbs didn't even work. The packaging is filled with notes from the manufacturer emphasizing their commitment to quality control and guaranteeing that every single unit is tested before shipping. They even provide a support number for issues, which feels like a safety net for a product that shouldn't have failed in the first place. Honestly, it feels like they’re hoping customers will call to troubleshoot their "premium" product instead of just delivering quality from the start. That isn’t a step I should have to take at this price point. The build itself doesn't look or feel high-quality; it feels overpriced for what it is. I’m giving it one more chance with a replacement unit just to see if it actually performs, but this has already been a massive waste of time. If the next one isn’t perfect out of the box, I’m giving up on it entirely.
