Clover 3672 Amour Crochet Hook Set, 10 sizes

I bought the 3.5 mm to try this brand out, and I fell in love. The size is perfect for my hands. The shape of the grip is so comfortable. I just purchased the full set and am so happy with it. They are smooth and glide on my yarn. I feel like the range in this set is awesome. I have a size for all of my crochet purposes. Great value, nice hooks.

Although I have crocheted for many years, I am no expert. I recently ordered one hook as a spare to the one I’ve been using for quite awhile. I have no idea what brand the original is, it’s one of a set. The “spare” is of lesser quality that didn’t take long to figure out. It’s not comfortable in my hand and I can only assume there’s a tiny burr somewhere on the hook because I can feel it pull on the yarn. I went back to searching and found this Clover brand after a bit of research. I liked what I’d read and although pricey, I bit the bullet. Delivered today, I decided to try one hook on my current project out of curiosity. I am not disappointed and am actually impressed. First, the hook is very comfortable in my hand. I have worked with it a couple of hours and there’s no fatigue in my wrist or hand. I have both carpal tunnel and arthritis and all is well. The smoothness of the hook is amazing. I read this in other reviews and wasn’t sure what it meant, I do now. There is absolutely no drag on the yarn, it slides easily on the hook. I have noticed the yarn I prefer has been “splitting” and I thought it was the yarn. I must be wrong because it literally has not split with this hook. My work also seems to be going faster. My hands are probably on the smaller size and I like the length of the hooks, not too long but not short either. In today’s mail I got a needle craft catalogue and these same hooks were listed $17 higher, on sale. They are pricey but this Amazon seller has a fantastic price. I have now been educated on the difference between your average crochet hooks and those of quality, I wish I had known sooner. If you are someone who actively crochets, do yourself a favor, treat yourself to these hooks. You won’t regret it.

I’ve been crocheting for almost 3 years now and out of every hook I’ve tried so far these are by far the best! The price is 100% worth it I was stuck between these and the tulip but after a lot of research plus the price I decided to go with these and I do not regret it whatsoever. I can crochet for hours without pain and it’s truly amazing before after 30 minutes with my old hooks I would be in so much pain. the grip and comfort on these is amazing. They’re also very smooth they glide easily into the yarn. Very light weight.

I had problems with my thumbs going numb when I crocheted, so I researched and asked in forums and the overwhelming response was that these are THE hooks to use. They don’t look much different than the cheap hooks I had but holy smokes do they handle differently! The hook glides smoothly and quickly through yarn with even stitches and no annoying yarn splitting or snagging. And the best part: no numb thumbs! These hooks are worth every penny and have earned their stellar reputation. I’m hooked! (Pun intended)

BACKSTORY: Back in late February, I started to learn how to crochet, to hopefully be able to join my friends in their fiber arts endeavors. My first chains were completed with a standard metal crochet hook, using stiff, cotton yarn. Needless to say, I had quite a bad first experience. The hook I was using was hard, and not very beginner friendly, which, when you factor in the cotton yarn, left my hands hurting more than I would've liked. About a week passed by, and I had started to get the hang of crocheting, leading me to finding some crochet hooks to buy for my first hooks. I instinctively first checked Amazon, and I saw loads and loads of cheap, crochet hook sets, which all seemed to have decent reviews, but I knew that there was more research to be done. I came across the Clover Amour Hook Set, touting a staggering 4.9 out of 5 stars. After reading some of the top reviews, I knew my search had come to an end. REVIEW: After 3 months of regular use, I now swear by my Clover hooks. The rubber-like handle feels great in the hand and is much better than the cheap, sticky, silicon handles that I've felt on other crochet hooks. The flat, oval area towards top of the grip, makes for a great thumb rest, adding to the overall comfort of these hooks. I was worried that the handle would slip off after some heavy use, but after crocheting a full-sized blanket (5ft x 5 ft) with the 6.00mm hook, the hook shows no signs of wear or weakness. The body of the hook is a nice matte aluminum, allowing the hooks to flow seamlessly into and out of stitches. I find the tip to be just pointy enough so that getting into tight stitches is made easier, but not so pointy that it'll split the yarn. This is a great set of hooks for beginners and more experienced crocheters alike! If I had to change one thing, I would personally have included a size bigger than 6.00mm, as I have started to worth with heavier weights of yarn, but the sizes included in this pack will let you complete a wide variety of projects, from coasters to sweaters. Before I end my review, I want to speak a little on the price of these hooks. At the time of writing (07/14/2020), this crochet hook set goes for $71.00, and by no means is that a cheap set of hooks. You can easily find the same size hooks from generic brands for around $15. I personally chose to buy this set, even as a beginner, because I place a lot of value on longevity and quality; I don't want to buy cheap products only to have them fail or break after a couple of months. If those values resonate with you, then these hooks are a no-brainer. However, you absolutely do not need to spend this amount of money to do some amazing crocheting. If you're unsure about your interest in crocheting, or you're wary about spending so much money, I would recommend getting something cheaper. You'll be able to do the same things with cheaper hooks, without a doubt. OVERALL: Comfort: 5/5 Durability: 5/5 Smoothness: 5/5 Quality: 5/5

Great crochet hooks. Metal is very smooth which makes crocheting a joy. Plus, they are ergonomic and comfortable to hold.

I have used many different types and designs of hooks and these have been the best so far. Love the handle. The length is okay. Maybe it would be nice if the handles were a little longer, but overall they fit in the hand nicely. They handle yarn with ease. So smooth and easy, like butter. Hook length is good and they come in many sizes. My hands have no fatigue at all when using them. Can crochet for hours with no problem. Definitely worth buying. Should have got them a long time ago.

I have crocheted for 50 yrs ,and have now found the perfect hooks clover amour hook set 10 sizes ,they are not cheap , going to doctor for carpel tunel ,arthritis isn't cheap eather .I give these hooks a 5 ,they glide thru yarn ,no pulling ,or splitting the yarn ,love them !

Wow! I thought my old crochet set was fine but man what a difference. These hooks are so smooth I don't even have to think about my tension it just does it like magic! I haven't crochet much yet I just got them but they feel comfortable. I would recommend these crochet hooks for sure. What a treat for the fiber artist!

I adore these hooks! I upgraded primarily for the comfort grip, but found they are also super smooth, and glide through yarn more easily than my previous anodised set, which makes for easier work. I have arthritis and can comfortably use these hooks for hours! Worth every cent.
