This adjustment tool is for the mil spec issue front sight. It has four prongs on one end and five on the other.

Will this tool work for my flip up iron sights

It will work for sights that are based on A1 and A2 sights. For example magpul mbus use an A2 sight post. This has both tools the 5 prong and 4 prong. It is also made of metal unlike the plastic ones that magpul gives you.

0.3670 in, according to my caliper.
