Great product. Used for Vivarium build
I bought Rubberseal Roll On to coat the inside of a plywood vivarium (48"L x 28"width (depth) x 72"H). I needed water resistant top and sides so coated the top half with 1/32 of an inch (30 mil) and the lower half and bottom with a thicker coat of about 1/16 of an inch (60mil) to get a waterproof seal. I used a roller for the top sides and a brush to coat the corners. A brush will let you lay this on thick. I have some very thick areas on the bottom especially in corners where plywood meets the frame. Be aware this takes at least 72 hrs to dry and not be tacky to the touch and depending on thickness can take longer. Other products I used with Rubberseal Roll On: I was concerned that silicone will not adhere to the rubber but it worked beautifully. I used GE 100% Silicone I (black). I added cork sheets to the upper walls and coconut coir over the silicone in other areas. Great Stuff adhered with no problem also. And once carved and shaped you can use the black silicone to blend it in. I used globs on the walls and used them for plant anchor points. Liquid Nails will adhere to the rubber also, but takes a bit for it to get a good grip. you may need to tape things in place till the glue dries. Tips: you may scratch the rubber off the walls with decor (adding large branches and such) if you are not careful. Silicone can touch up these spots or if you have some RubberSeal left over you can re-touchup as needed. Wear gloves as this becomes extremely sticky and buy 3 or 4 cheap paint brushes or rollers for each day you are going to add a coat since the RubberSeal will dry to the brush/roller and make it unusable after a few hours. The one gallon can I bought was just enough for this size build. I could have used another quart to really get a thicker coat all around but for my purposes this was enough. Keep in mind I had a large acrylic front door so I didn't need to coat the front of the viv all that much. If you plan on using it for a plywood aquarium this size you would need 2 gallons or more to get 60 mils+ all over (1/16"+). Overall I am very pleased with the product, especially since I used it in an unconventional way.

Signed "Sealed" Delivered from Water in the Basement.
When we had that big storm a couple of weeks ago water got into my basement. I had to live work early. I found out there were "Cracks in the Foundation" around the back of the house. I brought a gallon of Rubber Seal and used liquid cement from a small bucket. Also added Extend-A-Spout extentions. No More Water in the basement!!! Two coats of Rubber Seal in the cracks then put down the Rubber sealTM Geotextile Fabric Roll, then another coat of Rubber Seal on the Geotextile Fabric Roll. All the black is the Rubber Seal and the thick Black is the Rubber Seal Geotextile Fabric Roll (stayed in place after I put the third coat of Rubber Seal on top of it). So far so good. I've used this and Flex Seal before
So far so good. I've used this and Flex Seal before. This is much easier to apply as it is much thinner. However, if you apply too thick of a coat it will take forever to dry. The instructions are easy to read and cover many different application methods. If applying directly to concrete, this would be my preferred product of the two.

Excellent sealant for multiple surfaces.
I used this product to repair a roofing leak. I have used other products in the past, but nothing near as easy to apply and has the same results. The large pail is pricy but product seems superior to anything I've ever used. It dries quickly and remains rubbery and very pliable. Other materials turned out dry and hard. And then later cracked. I have two room additions on our vacation home. The roofing seams expand and contract with the seasons. I believe that the elasticity of this product is what separates from others. Again, while I thought it was expensive, but the quality and ease of application makes it a worthwhile choice. I have two more gallons to seal the ornamental pond in the spring. Application with a paint roller on a pole is so very easy.

NOT SUITABLE IF SUBMERGED IN WATER!!! TURNS ALGAE BROWN!!!
NOT SUITABLE IF SUBMERGED IN WATER!!! It dries a beautiful glossy black and stayed that way for about 2 days in my pond after I filled it. I let it dry for 3 days a month ago in AZ where the daily temps were between 82-96 degrees with no rain. After 2 days of filling it up, the entire Rubberseal product turned algae brown and now is permanently this color. There are some spots that had less than 1/4" thickness and the section below would never dry. You have to stab it and sometimes fill it with sand but still those areas are brown too. It's now been drained for 3 weeks and some of those spots simply will not dry and those spots are blistering as the heat increases to around 100+ degrees daily here. The other really big issue with this stuff is while it does have a hard feeling to the touch when dry, when submerged in water it softens up. So when you go to clean your pond, especially if you have to use a scoop to remove the last bits of water, you will tear this stuff. That's really bad because then the water can get underneath the coating and will destroy it from both sides. You could easily take a finger nail lightly to this stuff and you will scrape up goo rather than your finger nail drag across it like you'd expect with a hardened surface. $130 gone, the cleanup was not fun nor the effort applying it though the application effort is great overall, my pond is destroyed, I now have the worst cleanup job I could imagine next to shoveling feces for a living but at least feces aren't laden with chemical and feces can actually wash off. You need to use kerosene to get this off your skin and everywhere else you get it and you will get it everywhere if you don't lay down drop cloths. There's no such thing as a refund for a project like this so basically I took a gamble and lost everything I went in with and so much more. I'm confident this would be a wonderful roof patch or roof coating however even then it's black so that's generally not ideal unless say you're in the upper portions of the hemispheres. In the picture attached you can see what a coat after 1 week looks like at the bottom which is all cracked, and then the walls where I didn't do another coat and you can see it is exactly the opposite of what you'd want, algae and very rough brown.

The product performed well when mixed and layed very easily with roller and trowel
Not quite what I was expecting . . . The product performed well when mixed and layed very easily with roller and trowel. My only downside is it remains tacky in outdoor applications - even after full cure time. Very hard to walk on if you wanted it to be a final coat on anything. I tried to do this as a floor covering for my plywood barn floor. Not the ideal application as I can see. Some areas were dried and walkable, but most were tacky and started peeling. Will probably serve better as the underlayment, but definitely not what I was expecting.

Great product extremely pleased!
I can't wait to work with this stuff again! I have used redguard to waterproof multiple custom showers so, I was comfortable with the concept of roll-on water sealing. I applied using a disposable brush and 4" roller. Covered a indoor pond/fish holding tank made out of concrete blocks mortared together. Applied 3 coats with ~24 hour breaks between coats since it was colder that week. Took a week to dry to the point I was comfortable adding water though, think this was extended heavily by me not remixing on the last coat. Only suggestion is make sure this is truly mixed well. It helps with drying/tackiness.... I suggest grabbing a paint mixer for a couple bucks and letting a drill do the work... make sure you remix again between coats. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z4H5/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_GhIFwb1CAC496

Great for waterproofing concrete waterfall
I used Rubberseal to waterproof a concrete waterfall that was leaking. I did 3-4 coats of the black version (better waterproofing than the gray), and then 3 coats of the light gray. It worked very well and seems to be very durable. One word of caution though, the light gray version I received was almost white. So for concrete, I should probably have bought the dark gray. I had to add 3oz of black color to make the light gray version darker.
