Great book. Nice large font for reading the drum solos. Lays flat so you can read from it while playing. I recommend this book highly.

This book has been around for a long time for a reason. Every serious drummer should have one.

A must have for all snare drummers

My only complaint with this book is the binding, or lack there of. The book is falling apart after only a couple of months of use. I leave it on my music stand and take it to a drum lesson once a week. I had to tape the cover to the pages on the inside and run a piece of tape along the spine. The content of the book is excellent. The speed and accuracy of my rudiments has dramatically improved in a very short period of time using this book.

This book is a must for anyone learning to play the drums. If you are a new teacher this is also a good book to recommend for your students.

These are classic rhythms that have always been used for teaching and practice for any modern drummer. If you are serious about learning percussion and are willing to put in the time and effort, this book is for you. If you are NOT serious, don't buy it. All it will do is make you angry. There is a reason this book has been around 70+ years. It works. Please, buy the book, get good, and tell other drummers (or future ones) to do the same.

This is an excellent reading challenge for the intermediate drummer who can play their rudiments at 80 to 120 B.P.M. It teaches the drum set musician the possibilities for musical combinations that include the rudiments. All of the great players use these combinations to build their unique stylistic feels. Asking a student to faithfully and accurately play these etudes will garner the student a great deal of facility. Highly recommended. After completing this book next up would be A.J. Cirone's challenging "Portraits in Rhythm".

This book really helped me to read and understand rudiments better. I am prepearing for a jazz drumming highschool and it is very helpful. if you want to get a better feel when drumming get this book.
