Good antenna. Low SWR if adjusted right.
I own all kinds of antennas. Comet. Signal sticks, other brands. I bought this and put it on a Nano VNA and it has great swr. Better than any other antennas I have as far as ducks go. All the way extended is about 1.7 on vhf. Push it in 1โ and the swr is then 1.3 on vhf. On 440 it is 1.3 with the whip pushed in 2โ and on GMRS at 462 to 468 it is 1.3 pushed in another inch. The receive is better as well. On fm radio receiver (FT65) it does a better job pulling in stations than all my other ducks. Adjust for best signal. I just ordered 2 more. Good antenna.

Excellent Dual Band Telescopic Antenna!
Purchased one of these for 1980's Yaesu FT-530 dual band HT. Nice BNC connector and well made. Perfect 8" for everyday use. Bonus if you want a 14", gently pull the top of the antenna and "thin wire" 6" will slide out from center of antenna. Works extremely well for its price. Better 2meter & 440 trans-receive than some of my $25-$35 Diamond, Comet, etc. So impressed with performance and the telescopic design that I purchased 2 more to store away. I paid $39 for a Diamond BNC metal telescopic that is approx. 6" when closed and 13" when fully extended. Only can transmit on Diamond when extended without radio damage. This HYS performs flawlessly with same range of local repeater (18 miles away) @ 1 watt without extending the hidden thin wire. My fav antenna out of 5 diff BNC's

WORKS WELL ON 70CM AND GMRS, NO REPORT ON 2M
This antenna works pretty well compressed or extended on 70 cm and nearly as well on GMRS. SWR is a little high compressed on 70cm only but acceptable. SWR good otherwise. Readability was just a little worse extended than compressed on 70cm two miles across town for some reason. Haven't conducted voice over distance tests on 2m yet so can't report that. May solve the problem of long enough for longer range yet adjusts to short enough to use in a car or on your belt.

Bargain dual band antenna!
I bought two of these and they work great! Dual band BNC style with extendable tip (yeh I didnโt know either) lol. Good deal for the money!

Awesome antenna
I love the BNC antennas because they have a better signal quality. Good price and it looks solid (built). A flexible antenna including the extension. I opened the antenna to a full extension (around 14 inches) and it makes a difference on your signal quality. Worth the price and more.

Good swr, adjustable length for band changes
This was the first Hys antenna that really had decent to good swr across bands. You many need to play with the length just a bit to tune for the band you are in and mark it for future reference. Overall great price and good tension on the bnc connector. I purchased three antennas initially, and all tested withing .2 of each other. Will be buying more of these. Update: 8/7/23 - 5 stars is justified. SWR is 1.01 in both 2m and 70cm (better than any other Antenna I have tested on my HTs). **The trick is to attenuate as follows: a) fully extend for 2m band b) extend only 1/3 to half for 70cm. ** For about $9, I have purchased about a dozen of these antennas. I even have one for a mobile BNC mag mount. The rigidity is on par with a standard rubber duck antenna, but flexible enough to avoid being damaged in a pack. Only potential weak point is the cap./tip. I would advise a little bit of heat shrink where the cap meets the radiator/emitter. I have a few Signal Stuff Signal Sticks that are now basically relegated to the 'backup bin".

A little fragile but worth it for the small size!! Very Good Antenna!!!
Very good reception and lets me transmit farther than normal antennas, and it is on par with the na771 antenna of which I am comparing it to. You definitely should be extending the antenna when transmitting, but it receives fine when all the way down. Be weary that the antenna is fragile right at the base where the soft part connects to the hard plastic, I reinforced mine with heat shrink tubing right there since I had one break before.

Reasonable dual band antenna
I needed a better antenna than what came with a used HTX-202 transeiver (the original wasn't included). Works well enough on 2M band. I havent tried it on 70cm yet.

Very impressed for the price
110km report that should say enough. Works better then my more expensive Nagoya. Compact 8" and extends to 13" this is now my every day carry antenna. Even with a bnc adapter I didn't notice any issues. I would recommend.

Cool pull out option to improve reception.
I like the quality of the antenna was a good deal and works as it should with my Uniden BCD436HP Scanner! But you will need a SMA/BNC adapter.
