Bonide Repels-All Animal Repellent Granules, 3 lbs. Ready-to-Use Deer & Rabbit Repellent, Deter Pests from Lawn & Garden

Best animal deterrent on the market that I have found to actually work. Deters rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and even those pesky deer that are determined to eat my entire flower and vegetable gardens. But use the LIQUID!!!!!!! The granules are easier to use but they DID NOT WORK!!!!!! Be prepared to gag if really bad smells do that to you because the smell is horrendous!!!! Fortunately, for all involved, the smell totally dissipates in a day or two.

This didn't work. Infact it drew the critters to it to eat/lick it up... I live about 3 miles from the big city but I live by (but not connected to) a small wooded park. I have a very small front yard and little back yard. In the last few years we started to see 1 or 2 skunks and about the same with raccoons. They never really came around but this year is the worst by far. Not only did the shunks and raccoons have babies but so did the groundhogs and the deer! It's like a zoo now and they are all invading my yards. At night they set off all my cameras all around my house. Day time the deer eat my plants and trees and sleep in my backyard. I can't walk around my yards because they leave their calling card (if you know what I mean) all over the place. They dig holes, eat and kill all my plants and trees. I went to Home Depot (HD for short) for help with experts and they talked me into buy something like this (but it's pellets) and told me to switch it up with this stuff (bought this off Amazon because it was less than half the price of HD wanted). They said to even mix it together for maximum effects if the critters get worse. (HA! Now that's funny, not!) First I tried them by themselves, following the directions. NOPE! Even tried without water. NOPE! Let me tell you. These powders (and pellets) were the worst things I bought! All the critters came out in groups to eat this each time I put this out. It even got worse when I sprinkled them around mixing them together on the ground like the experts at HD told me to do. Now I want to go and sprinkle it on their properties just to have them have the experience I had. Oh, BTW it stinks! It has a yucky smell (dry or wet). They claim that's what's supposed to scare away the critters. Nope! They want to lick and eat it. I ended up buying the flashing light with noise things and they are working alot better than this stinky stuff! I can't return these because I used at least half of them each. DON'T BUY THIS! Buy the flashing lights thing instead. Wouldn't give stars but can't go below 1.

Great product no more critters.

This doesn't seem to bother squirrels. Sprinkled it around the base of the bird feeder but squirrels walked right over it.

We had some varment digging in our newly planted flower bed so I did some searching for an antidote and this was highly recommended. I read some of other's experiences in using it and found that a number of people said that it didn't work in their situations but I gave it a try anyway. As it turned out it didn't deter whatever it was from digging. We think it might be a skunk but we never saw it. Whether it is keeping other animals away, that we cannot say. But it doesn't keep everything away.

We live on an acre of property in SE Michigan which has herds of deer. Our city ranks at the top for deer accidents in the US. I used Bonide Repels-All Granules last year, starting very early in the Spring. I refreshed the granules after heavy rains. It worked till the end of September (when I likely wasn't as diligent about applying). The best part is that it stopped the rabbits and other animals, besides the deer, from decimating my flowers and, especially my hostas. The 3lb dispenser is one of the easiest dispensers of any product that I've ever used. It is so easy and fast to 'spread' the granules around the plants (which the product does NOT affect). I suggest wearing a mask to avoid breathing and avoiding the smell. It's not bad, just a precaution that I'm suggesting.

So, we have a ground hog problem. Last year we hired a professional removal service to the tune of several hundred dollars that never managed to catch the groundhogs. They didn't even offer us a refund. I didn't see them in the winter, but come mid this summer, they were back again, and this time they were digging giant holes in my rose and flower beds. I decided to get this after much research. I received it, used as listed, and the groundhogs seemed to start avoiding the area. I was happy. Then we got a big, heavy rain. Two days later I went out to check if I needed to reapply. Everywhere it had been applied on the ground, there was now huge patches of billowy mold, now also attaching itself nearby cultivated plants. A complete nightmare! I had to remove all the mold and the dirt to three inches deep and remove the effected foliage completely. So, in addition to losing two entire roses bushes to ground hog damage I had to lose a bunch more flowers to make sure the mold didn't spread further. And this wasn't a coincidence, the mold developed in the pattern of where I laid the product out and only in the spots where I put it. So disappointed. So, I'm giving 2 stars because it indeed seemed to repel the groundhogs, but it created a mold problem and further damaged my flower beds to do it. Since I had to remove the stuff, I'm counting down to when the groundhogs come back. I think I'll try sprinkling simple ground black pepper there, instead. Maybe by a spear...just kidding. Sort of. I hate ground hogs.

So far the ground squirrels have not eaten any more of my tomatoes! It has been a week since application of these granules on the ground. I built a fortress around my tomato plants, but the squirrels dug a tunnel from somewhere very far away and were coming up right inside the cage, eating my precious tomatoes. The only alternative was to find a taste/smell deterrent. I used a lot of these granules around the plants and am keeping watch!

There's ONE rabbit only and it's not a BIT affected by this product. It munched through a dozen marigold seedlings then came back and decimated my ivy geranium the next evening. I scattered more around and it came back tonight and started on my other ivy geranium. I had such high hopes because this product was very expensive and I debated long and hard whether I should get it. I'm lucky my livelihood didn't depend on this deterrent. There have been rabbit infestations in past years and I was hoping this was the magic bullet. So VERY disappointed and angry
