Ok, the reviews are about right. This case will be satisfactory for about 70% of guitar players. Everything about it is “adequate” but.... The latches are a bit flimsy. Handle mount hardware jiggled a bit right out of the box. The case itself is pretty well built and will suffice for casual in home storage or going cross town to jam with friends but definitely not touring quality. The fit is good for a SG Standard but the top of my headstock was resting on the plush padding (padding in case good) but if my top tuning pegs happen to be in a vertical position they rest against the case which I didn’t like. At least one review had a headstock break and I suspect this was the reason. After careful inspection I decided it wasn’t worth the risk and returned it. If you are on a budget sure and are careful this may work but I bit the bullet and spent the extra $80 or so and got the SG Gator GTSA case which I am very satisfied with.

Used to be that when you bought a decent guitar you got a decent case with it. Not these days, as its often a gigbag if you're lucky. I had need of a good solid hardcase for my SG. I bought this case for a reason. I don't need one with the guitar company's name on it and pay extra. This case is very well built. Has a good archtop in the lid to allow for the instrument to clear the top. (often some cases are too tight and crimp the instrument in the case) The fit and finish is first rate from the stitching to the hardware and the interior, all well done. My SG rests in this case like a form fitted custom case from old. I am now resting easier as my instrument is in a case that protects it and the case itself looks good too. The price was astonishing and delievery was a day ahead of the promised time. Ok, you see anything here that's not to like? Yeah, me neither. You have a SG that you want kept safe and have a great case to boot? Then here it is. Simple as that.

Not the most expensive, fanciest or most rugged case available; but for the money, it works just fine for carrying your favorite axe around. I'd think twice about checking it as baggage if you travel on airlines very much - I'd probably invest in something a bit more substantial for that. But for most other uses it's all you need. Fits my SG like it was made for it. Inside is thickly padded, with no sharp edges. Handle attachments seem pretty substantial. Latches are adequate to keep the lid closed. Good-sized compartment for extra strings, tuner and what-not, but the lid doesn't latch, just a friction fit. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered this case for a Gibson SG Special. The case is of great quality, with an arched lid and smooth operating latches. The guitar fits very well inside the case too. There are 2 things that I don't like about this case though. First, there is no support under the neck joint, as is found on 90% of other SG guitar cases. The other thing I don't like is the case only has 1 neck support, located about 5 inches from the neck joint. I guess the case will protect the guitar from minor bumps, but much of an impact or a drop, and I would be very concerned about the neck joint. Otherwise, the case is well made for the price. This case would be great for storing a guitar flat, under a bed.

I had just picked up a new Epi SG G400 guitar for not a lot of $$$ and I wanted something nice (but not top of the line) to carry it in.As I had done live gigging for a significant time in my earlier years, I wanted something that would withstand the normal rigours of club gigs and airline travel(and I mean taking it ON the plane,not under the plane),and this case has fit the bill very well so far.I'm recently involved in a ZZ Top tribute band that will be seeing a lot of action at rib cook-offs,Hot August Nights,Street Vibrations,and more, so this little case will get a chance to show what it's really made of.Bring on the drunken party-goers!!!

I bought this case mainly for the price and I wanted a hardshell case for my SG-type guitar. The case exterior is what you'd expect, the inside is nice and soft. The fit wasn't perfect. The guitar does slide a little, but my guitar may be a little different in size than a Gibson or Epiphone SG. My main concern is how loose the latches are. I don't feel like it's snapping firmly into place once I close it. I'm worried one day when I'm walking with it, it will suddenly just open and my guitar will fall out. Maybe there's a way to tighten it. I'll have to look into that.

Got the case fairly quickly from the date I ordered it.Feels solid and good enough to get the job done. Such as transit to and from practice or local gigs. Wouldn't trust long travel such as checking it in as luggage, as it seems to not be able to withstand harsh conditions.All in all, it's good for the price and gets the job done.Would definitely recommend
