Depends on cruise control
UPDATE: I've been able to process a return on this item without any problem. The item was shipped promptly, it just turned out to be the wrong one for the reason listed below. I ordered this ACDelco Professional D884 Brake Light Switch recently for a 2002 Subaru Legacy wagon and discovered that this item is for non-cruise control autos. The difference is in the number of contacts - 4 for cruise control models and 2 for non. As a result, the connection is a different size and configuration. So this item may be for your car, but it depends on that cruise control. In looking back at the item specs, I don’t see anything indicating this. Also, I’m having difficulty returning as the Returns page is not permitting me to do so. The item is sold and shipped by Amazon, the item is clearly marked as Free Returns and yet I receive an error when trying to complete. I have cleared my cache and rebooted as suggested on the Returns page. I have also attempted on 2 different devices.

Brake Light Switch Replacement for 1999 Nissan Quest
My brake lights stuck on due to brake light switch failure. Difficult to remove and replace due to poor access but, this new switch worked perfectly.

Buy it anyway!
So, my 1999 PF SE, lights stayed on so I googled once and bought the part. First mistake. There are several things that can go wrong. Go to the Nissan forum and check them out. In my case it might have been a rubber stopper which cost about 4 bucks. However, I never got s chance to find out because while trying to diagnose the issue I freaking ripped the OE switch. Very glad I had bought this part and yep this 4 buck part works great. I do recommend buying a metal over plastic which thus part is...so done it was so cheap and I am the OO of this baby I am going to order another one! I would also order extra rubber pieces. And remember Google and YouTube are your friend. BTW, I blew the fuse so you might want to disconnect the battery before install.
