what size cutout is needed for this switch?

When I 3D printed a face plate to snap these switches into a 20mm diameter hole that is 2mm thick was a perfect fit.

Will this work for an 9 v battery? I have a battery in my guitar for the pickup which constantly drains and a on off switch is needed?

These will work for the 9v active pickups in your guitar. Although the led light in the switch will use some of your battery to power it, it won’t be a noticeable loss. Try unplugging your instrument cable when your finished playing and I bet your battery lasts longer. Your active pickups will continue to drain the battery as long as your cable is plugged into the guitar, regardless if the amp is on or not.
