Nesco MWR18-14 Roaster Oven, 18 Quart, White

I have two already but one is slowing down so I decided to get a new one. The first Nesco was a wedding gift worth $200. It has lasted 30 years but I felt time to get a new one. The size is perfect for a 20lb turkey. Cleaning is easier than my older model which had no stick on it. Heat distribution and cooking time are spot on and so far I have had no negatives to mention. It is only used 3 to 4 times a year but so far so good! The price was unbeatable.

Works really well. Almost like having a second oven!

Bought this as I was freaking out about 1st time hosting and making all the things for thanksgiving (vs ordering in previous years!). We have one oven and timing everything can be a challenge. After reading reviews and seeing harsh chemicals in other roasters we picked this one and it delivered! Turkey was done early (so we needed to catch up on other things) or know to cook a little later. It was moist and great! I was most worried about it being dry but even my honest sister said it was the best turkey she has ever had! I am so happy with purchase and plan to use for other gatherings with large portions! Easy to clean following for bonus perk!

Was hesitant at 1st but decided to give it a try. Works as it should. Maybe too well. Def keep an eye on whatever you put in. Be sure to read and follow directions prior to use and forward and you should have no issues. Its large enough to fit a 14 lb turkey with no problem and it even Browned it. It is a large pot. Id say the width is the size of 2 average size crock pots, possibly 21/2,placed side by side.

Update to original review below: We received the replacement roaster, and promptly put it to use cooking a half ham. Because I live in the desert, and the place I live is a nightmare to cool, we set it up outside, did the recommended 1 hour at max temp to burn off any manufacturing grease, and the next day, it was out again to cook the ham. After it started to smell great, the neighbors were out looking at it, wanting to know where they could get one. After the mess of the original delivery, this was a nice resolution. I've had a Nesco roaster for ages decided to upgrade, because I think at this point it's over 30 years old and yes it works but it's a little too big and is showing its age. So I look in order this one. It's pretty it's red it's a decent size but not overly big. Well the huge box we got it in was not damaged at all looked fine. The packaging The roaster comes in however was completely torn up. It was wrapped in plastic to keep it together so it's obvious that somebody had seen that there was an issue but didn't bother to raise a concern before it left the warehouse. But I'm thinking okay if the product inside is fine I can somehow make do so I have rather have had a box it I could store it in again I can make do. Yeah that was not to be. The roaster is dusty and dirty so it's been kicked around probably on the floor of the warehouse, and there is a huge dent right next to the knob as you can see in my picture. I have requested a replacement and we'll send this back once I received the replacement however if the next one comes like this I am probably going to raise a stink. Thankfully this isn't something I had purchased for a gift because there is no way that even if the product itself had been in good shape that I would be able to give this as a gift because of the packaging. The packaging being completely destroyed at the warehouse and was allowed to leave the warehouse and sent to a customer is unacceptable.

This thing is nuts. I just didn't want to deal with a Thanksgiving turkey taking up the main oven the entire preparation time. Well, let me tell ya, this thing is awesome! Also, people get a kick out of how big it is. Was often told they've never seen anything like it. Slow cooked a 20+ Lbs. turkey overnight. Then finished it off in the morning at a higher temperature. We did use a turkey bag with it. I DID use a bit of water in the base of the unit. The thing gets HOT. Like, holy moses. If you turn it up to max while testing it - it's definitely a powerful (little? lol) unit. I was keeping an eye out on having the coatings come off the unit and into the food, but thankfully I didn't see any of that on its maiden voyage. Would buy again! Turkey came out great and family members told me it was one of the best turkeys they've had. Mission accomplished, good turkey, without it hogging the oven the entire preparation time. A Word to Nesco, Please make more attachments/accessories for this unit. Like a multicompartment buffet server insert, or divided compartments for two different types of products - Turkey/Ham, fish/beaf, etc. (I do get the food safety that might be an issue here) Would definitely buy and recommend to everyone. Bought this item to use for making our dog food. Couldn't have made a better decision to go with this cooker. The size and heat levels are great for what we needed. Quality product that has brought ease into our lives now that it doesn't have to be done over the stove.

This Nesco is nice and works well. The size is nearly perfect. It is convenient and the large capacity allows me to put as much or as little of a meal in it as I want. I love the rack in the bottom of it and the unit itself has a good, reliable even cooking area. It's been perfect and when this one goes, I'll buy another.

I replaced my oven with this cooker. It work well and I like that I just store it away when done

I love this thing! I use it for turkeys, broth, rendering lard and tallow, tomatoes, applesauce... so many things! I had previously purchased a Mainstays brand roaster from Walmart and the enamel was chipping off as soon as I took it out of the box. I used it a couple of times but it just kept getting worse. Thankfully, Walmart took it back. The Nesco roaster was 4 times the price but worth every penny. It's quality.

bought this to make bigger batches of chili, expected to double my recipe from my old slow cooker, turns out I need to quadruple it to fit this beast. heats up pretty fast, love that it has an off option so I don't need to unplug it to stop the heat. bowl is too big to fit completely in my sink but that is a housing problem, not a product problem.

I bought this pot to make tomato paste and juice . It is very spotted looks bad I don’t know how to clean it . The quality of the enamel on the pot is not the best .
