CPB HeatRepair Mat 214 Screw position

So far I have only used it to disassemble devices but it has been very handy and helpful. Before I would put screws and components into an egg carton and keep track of the order I disassembled them in. With this mat and the grid you can put the screws on it seems to be oversimplified but it works pretty well...just as long as you are paying attention to what you are doing. The material is very soft and has a little bit of texture too it but when you hold it and fold or stretch it you can tell it is of pretty good quality, not the cheap one you expect will tear within a month or less. I have not done any soldering on it yet but I did put a soldering iron to it for a few minutes and there was not scotching or discoloration from the heat. I got the smaller mat since I am a hobbyist and DIYer but if you are an enthusiast, like working or bigger projects or a professional I recommend getting the bigger mat. ( We know that we never seem to have enough space ).

Very good work mat for small electronics, knives, watches, glasses, etc. Easy to clean, doesn't heat up easily and offers great organization with the magnetic sections for screws. The closing sections are a nice touch as well. Well worth the money.

I wanted a mat to protect my table from occasional solder drops or the soldering iron itself. This mat works as expected, but as a simple silicon mat, it doesn't offer the ESD protection of an ESD mat and may not handle sustained temperatures very well. If you are looking for something for minor protection, this mat works great and the color makes it easy to see components.

Works great and doesn't burn or warp or melt with the heat. Compartments are good add-on as well, and the magnet pads that are added are also great addition. My only wish is that it be bigger, although it is pretty large.

Item appears to be as stated "food grade silicone mat" it is soft and flexible. It is good silicone material On the bottom right corner it is marked "S-130B", its size 350mmx250mm and a row of Chinese script. . The wrist band for dissipating electrostatic discharged was inspected but resistance was not checked. The bands snap works well and is seated. I anticipate using this with my soldering iron or hot glue gun. The size of the item can easily contain these tools and provide a work area. To be overly cautious, I will use a small piece of 1/8 or 1/4 in plywood over the table surface to protect it.

love it, a place for each thing and nothing is lost anymore. Many magnetic zones available to hold in place stuff that rolls, how did I do before? This is a game changer, y'all need that thing.

The work mat is first rate and fit for the purpose it will be used. It's a present for a hobby maker.
