Great headphones specially for movies!
SOUND QUALITY AND BASS, I own a pair of Sony 1000XM3 and QC35, these definitely have more bass. They definitely don't sound as clear as either of the two, but they still sound great. They are less “flat” sounding and more lively and fun. If you want your ears to vibrate like the Skullcady Crushers, set the equalizer to Exited and set the headphones to Arena mode, then crank up the volume, while nowhere near as much vibration as the skullcandys, its there if you’re into that. NOISE CANCELLING, I would say these headphones cancel about 60%-70% of the noise that the Bose QC35s and XM3s/Bose 700s cancel out (which is really good). I would definitely place these in the top 10 noise cancelling headphones out there. However if you only want noise cancelling then you might want to look into the Sony 1000XM3 or Bose 700. With the XB900N you will still be able to hear some outside noise such as loud fans, chatter, etc at low volumes (40% or so) if you want to block out noise fully it is possible but you will have to crank them up to 70-80% volume. I listen to them at about 40% volume and its loud enough for me, while other headphones i have to set them near 80% volume. BLUETOOTH AND APP, these are very easy to connect to your devices, hold the power button for 7 seconds then they go into pairing mode, then just connect to them using your device...no hastle. The app also works flawlessly and let me tell you this app is no joke! - You can change the noise cancelling level (20 levels). - You can set between amazon alexa or google assistant - You can change the sound to come from front, front left/right, or rear left/right. - The have an equalizer which lets you adjust bass, mids, highs, etc. It also comes with some presets if you want to just boost bass, vocals, trebble etc. This equalizer really changes the way these headphones sound, this aint no gimmick! - Surround VPT, I don’t know why this feature is not that popular but when you change it creates a feeling of surround sound, the settings are Arena, Concert Hall, Outdoor Stage, and Club. When you set the headphones to arena mode and you watch a movie it literally sounds like you have two soundbars in your ears, its insane that a simple setting on an app can make such a difference... these things sound like a movie theatre! I have owned many pair of headphones, and you get what you pay for. I would definitely say these are worth the $250 price tag. In a nutshell... Those who want a good pair of headphones and want to save $100 buy the XB900Ns. If you want basically double the noise cancelling, and a cleaner sound (less bass) get the Sony XM3s. Can’t go wrong with either, both are great.

Love these Great Sound, Ultra Comfort, Noise-Cancelling Star!headphones
Arrived as adThe new Sony WH-XB900N wireless headphones are an outstanding option for a comfortable listening experience at home, traveling or in a noisy office. They incorporate very effective noise suppression and echo canceling systems, have easy-to-operate controls and a very long battery life. Their quality is evident in every feature and they a part of the well-regarded Sony Extra Bass family. Here are the key features: • Sony WH-XB900N noise-canceling over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones • Ergonomic, fully adjustable over-ear, closed dynamic headphone • 40 mm dome driver for maximum bass and very accurate wide frequency response • Noise-canceling/suppression technology helps block external noises, may be switched on or off • Monitor function allows ambient sound to be easily heard while wearing headphones, may be switched on or off • Bluetooth 4.2 reception range up to 50 feet, NFC pairing connection option, support aptX codec • Built-in microphone for making and receiving phone calls • Touch control on side of right earphone to raise/lower volume, next/previous track selection • Power, Bluetooth pairing, Monitor and Noise Cancel buttons on left earphone • Rechargeable internal lithium ion power source: 6 hours to fully charge with included USB-C connection cable • Headphones will operate 30+ hours continuously from a full charge, 16 day standby time, customizable auto-off timer • Can also operate without using any power by connecting an included 4.1 foot 3.5 mm stereo cable to left earphone • 3.5 mm (headphone) male-to-male 50” connection cable included • 20 – 20,000 Hz audio frequency range, less than 1% THD distortion • Sony Headphone Connect app provides graphic equalizer and presets • Easy to follow illustrated quick set-up guide • Foldable design for compact storage • Size: 5.5 inches by 6.6 inches by 3.5 inches • Weight: 9 ounces • Soft pouch with drawstring closure included • One year warranty on parts and labor Included in the box are the headphones, instructions, a short USB-C charging cable, a 50 inch long 3.5 mm direct-connect wire cable and a nice soft pouch. The quick set-up guide is comprehensive with step-by-step instructions for using the headphones, a trouble-shooting checklist, technical specifications and detailed explanations for using each feature. The headphones have a non-reflective black finish, substantial bass-producing drivers and super-soft memory-foam cushions on each headphone for superb comfort and noise isolation. They fold flat to enable compact storage and to easily fit into a purse, drawers, etc. The Sony WH-XB900N has a look of quiet quality and business elegance without flashy excess. First step is to charge the headphones. Just attach the USB-C charging cable, plug it into your computer or a USB outlet and LED lights will go out when they are fully charged (which may take 4- 6 hours when fully discharged.) A red LED light next to the charging port goes out when the unit is fully charged. The stated music playing time of thirty hours seems conservative since I found the headphones would operate for nearly forty hours before fading out. The customizable auto-off feature aids this very long battery life. Next, press the power button to turn them on – an audio prompt indicates when the power is on or off. Pair the earphones with your phone or other source via Bluetooth or NFC. An audio prompt guides you, but my phone paired them very quickly and without drama. A blue LED indicates the connection has been made. The connection remained very solid throughout my home, up to nearly 50 feet. The headphones are fully adjustable and the very soft pads completely and comfortably enclose even the largest ears. The Sony WH-XB900N are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. They are light (9 ounces) and have plenty of adjustment range to enable a perfect fit. The earphone pads are fairly large (about 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide) so they qualify as “over ear” and they provide excellent sound isolation. You can wear them for many hours in perfect comfort and your ears will never complain. Even without the noise-canceling function most external sounds are blocked. Pressing the Custom (automatic noise canceling) button turns on that feature and there is an audio announcement that it is active (or that it has been turned off.) The ANC technology is very effective for mid-frequency noise. I turned on both my shower and bathroom sink faucet and the noise (which would normally be very loud) was just a faint hiss which I could easily ignore while listening to the music. Even without music playing the noise canceling feature was pretty effective. Further, you can adjust the degree of noise cancellation using the Headphone Connect app. These would be great on a noisy airplane ride! The Sony WH-XB900N headphones have a very accurate reproduction of music from bass through mid-range notes and on to the highest frequencies. You can modify the sound contour/response by utilizing the Sony Headphone Connect app which features a full equalizer, a number of surround sound presets and sound positioning controls. For those who like heavy bass these are an ideal choice. If you want to cut back the bass the equalizer on the app will do that very effectively. I played every range of music, from classical, blues, hard rock, jazz and a full range of vocals (opera through folk ballads) and these fine headphones never disappointed me. The sound quality is just beautiful. Sony has positioned these headphones to deliver premium sound and features at a mid-range price. Yes, you might find slightly better headphones but only if you are willing to spend at least 50% more, and even then most users would not really appreciate any difference in sound or features. Like all good earphones these will respond to various voice commands, allow you to interact with Siri, take calls, etc. Each earphone has some controls. The right side has a nice touch pad which will raise/lower volume, skip tracks (forward and backward), pause and repeat tracks and has a microphone for use during calls. The left side turns the earphones on/off, handles Bluetooth pairing, activates the noise cancelation feature and also takes calls. One very clever feature is Quick Attention which shuts off noise cancellation and lowers music volume when you touch the right headphone, enabling you to easily hear outside sounds (such as someone speaking to you), and then resumes noise cancellation and music volume when you remove your hand. Bottom line - the Sony WH-XB900N noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones are an excellent value for discerning music fans who want a very comfortable headset, superb noise isolation and beautiful sound reproduction. They are a perfect choice for traveling and would pass boring hours in airports and on planes with gold stars for quality, sound level and range. I am happy to award this fine product a full five stars and my full, unqualified endorsement. Buy these if you love music and want sweet isolation from the nasty noises of the world!vertised and highly recommended.

Great headphones with shaky noise cancelation
This is my first pair of "good" headphones. Before this the most expensive headphones I had ever owned were in the $80-90 neighborhood. For me, they're amazing and the sound quality couldn't be better. The touch controls are great for when you don't want to pull your phone out and pick the next song or change the volume. They're comfortable and I tend to forget I have them on. The only con I can find is the weak noise canceling feature. If someone is standing right beside you and talking in a normal voice, you can still hear them. I can still hear a fan that's 10 feet away but it's much quieter. It dulls ambient sound more than it "cancels" it. I have used the app to max out the feature but didn't notice a difference.

Amazing headset with a couple minor flaws
PROS: -Great sounding headset -Noise cancelling gets the job done well but isn't perfect -Ability to increase ambient noise through app settings -Touch controls on right cuff for music control (ability to temporarily increase ambient noise is great!) -When swiping up or down for volume control you can hold it to continuously increase or decrease (Warning: this happens fast and can be hard to get the timing down if you are not watching the volume numbers) -Deep bass -Comes with app allowing for highly adjustable music experience -App has setting for different "music settings" allowing you to feel like your in a club or live concert -Dual microphones making headset very viable for answering calls -Works great as a gaming headset for my Xbox but can't seem to get the microphones working with it..? -INSANE battery life and also quickly charges (have never had the battery die on me due to charging it like once every other day) -Fits larger heads (I wear a size 8 fitted cap for reference which is the largest hat stores offer in my area 😂) -Can wear for long sessions if you set the sizing correctly CONS: -Microphones remain on with noise cancelling feature turned on making a loud rustling noise during slight winds outdoors and brushing your fingers over the microphone causes the same effect...(Do not understand why this is a thing when I have ambient turned off??) -Does not have the wind reduction setting in the app like the more expensive version of these does, making me think the microphone issues could easily be fixed with a future update -Swiping for music control can be off if headset is slightly eschew on your head, but very minor inconvenience -Lying or sitting with the right cuff pushed against something can cause accidental inputs but I have very rarely had this happen CONCLUSION: Great sounding bluetooth headset with rich sound and booming bass. If app and software gets updated in the future would definitely bump this up to five stars, but at the moment can't justify it. I can confidently recommend this to anyone looking for a midrange priced headset and these are a steal if you can find them on sale (bought them on here for $150!).

Awesome sound quality with minimal drawbacks
I've had these headphones for about two months now and have been using them heavily. I wear them a lot throughout the day and I also wear them to the gym. When it comes to sound quality, these headphones are great. I'm a sucker for bass which is one of the main reasons I bought this model. I had previously owned the Sony MDR-XB950BT headphones and they lasted me for almost four years so I had high expectations for this model. Not only is the sound quality just as good if not better, but the WH-XB900Ns look way better too. The noise cancellation isn't anything crazy, it works well but it isn't foolproof. It's definitely effective, but I will say that every now and then I have to crank the volume a bit higher than I wanted to in order to drown out some surrounding noise. The volume controls also work well. The swipe controls in general are a lot more responsive than I initially expected. Granted, I have had a few moments when I'm in the gym and trying to hype myself up for a lift and I'll go to swipe up to turn up my volume and it skips the song instead. Now this could just be myself being hyped up on adrenaline, but it always makes me groan whenever that happens. Also, if I try to repeatedly swipe to either up the volume several notches or skip several songs, sometimes it thinks i'm double tapping and pauses the song. Again, an understandable response but one I will note nonetheless. Overall I am beyond pleased with these headphones. I like them a lot more than my MDR-XB950BTs and for anyone who is looking to upgrade like I was, I highly recommend these headphones.

Fine headphones for a price
These headphones are great. Connection is stable, sound and bass are good and the noise canceling works. My head is quite small and I dislike that they are a bit loose on my head, it feel comfy when I stand but I always feel like they are gonna fall off if I move too fast with my head down. Also instinctively I try to readjust them by touching the round parts and those sensors get activated automatically. So now I need to learn how to touch them which is annoying. The design is simple, plastic seems very durable, soft leather like details around ears and on the top of headband could get damaged quite easily so I would recommend using a protective case. To me this design is a bit too simple, although I love minimalistic style, I wish it could be more sophisticated. My husband likes the size because his head is large. It seems like he was annoyed with sensors too at first but now getting used to them. Battery is fine, we’ve been using them for a few hours every day for like a week and didn’t need to charge it yet.

Clear sound, decent noise cancellation, comfortable! Worth it!
The Sony XB900N are all anyone needs for everyday use. Pros: These provide fairly decent noise cancellation (certainly not as good as the WH1000XM3 but totally enough for the average person). The ear cups are super comfortable and can be used for long hours without any stress to the head. The sound has always been great like any other Sony headphones. The volume in these can go up pretty high which is important for balancing some songs. The battery lasts a long time. I use it for a total of atleast 5h a day and I’ve had to charge it only once a week. Cons: The noise cancellation can only push it that far. It doesn’t block out all ambient sound when sitting around The touch panel is not as sensitive to respond as the 1000XM3. It takes a couple of tries to get used to it. The case they provide is just a pouch. I’d recommend buying a hardcase to store the headphones in. Overall: Totally worth it, especially when on sale. Go for it!

Best headphones I’ve owned.
Great product. The over the ear vs. resting on top of the ear like my previous Beats is great and makes them comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I also had recently spent $200 on the newest PowerBeats wireless and while they are great for working out the sound quality wasn’t great, the volume didn’t go that high and I could hear everyone around me at work or at the gym over my music which was annoying. I bought these on sale for around $150 and can’t believe the amazing sound quality, and they worked great on my flight for noise cancellation. I still haven’t even turned them up to max volume. They also come with a cord so I can easily plug them into my computer at work if needed. Best quality headphones I’ve had in a long time and you can’t beat the price. Easily would have paid $250 or $300 for these.

Best value for money
Noise canceling isn’t as good as the 1000 but still affective in a noisy work office. These definitely have extra base, I’m always fiddling with EQs to get my perfect balance but I couldn’t improve on the standard quality for me. Great value

Good product. Satisfied.
Very good product, came properly packaged without any damage. Product charges fast and battery life is long. Wireless connectivity is good and fast. Comfortable cushioning as well. Bass boost and sound quality is good if you select “stereo” over “hands free” option on PC. Which means sound is better with headphones on than off.
