The ear tip saga
It took me about a month and a half of owning the Sony WF-1000XM4s before I realized that the discomfort I was experiencing was due to the terrible ear tips, rather than improper wearing. I set out to find better, and these are my findings. Tested against the medium size stock eartips. Silicon tips: ALXCD silicon ($6.99) - amazon.com/gp/product/B08G4N1QP3 Things I liked: - 3 pair, one of each size - Also included are a hard case and small microfiber cloth - These tips match the look of my black headphones nicely, and the interiors are colored for easy differentiation between sizes Things I didn't like: - These fit rather loosely, both in the ear and on the earbud. Going up a size improves fit and sound isolation, but I found the larges uncomfortably big for my ears. - Sound isolation is lacking, but this is expected with silicon tips. - I found that these tips gather earwax rather quickly. As mine is itchy, this translated to experiencing itching after an hour or two of use on each wear. SpinFit CP360 ($13.49) - amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJNHM3Z Things I liked: - Fit is excellent, in the ear and on the earbud. I wouldn't expect these to come out of the ear or off the earbud on their own. I found the medium size of these to be perfect. - Sound quality is phenomenal, incredibly crisp - While the sound isolation isn't perfect, it is probably the best I've ever had with a silicon eartip. Major props! - Medical grade silicon, which eliminated ear itching for me Things I didn't like: - Coming with only two pairs, and of different sizes, you'll want to be careful not to lose track of these - Packaging is disposable, leaving no good long term storage solution for extra pairs - I found the clear tips unattractive on my black earbuds Foam tips: FEYCH foam ($6.99) - amazon.com/gp/product/B07SN4HP5Z Things I liked: - These eartips come with 6 pairs - Also included is a hard case - These have good sound isolation, and better sound quality than the eartips included with the headphones - They fit well; the medium size tips offer a secure fit without any pressure, one of my biggest gripes with the Sony eartips. I have not experienced any itching, as sometimes happens with cheap foam tips. Things I didn't like: - These eartips extend well past the interior tube, causing me to question their durability. If you are confident if your size it might be best to buy the pack of just that size to allow plenty of extras. Comply foam ($25.99) - I have not had the opportunity to try these, as they cost almost as much as the other three pairs combined and I am on a college budget. I include them only for the sake of completeness, as many people swear by them. Conclusion: All of the tips listed here are going to provide a better experience than the extremely uncomfortable stock ones. If you have the money, you're going to have a much better experience and likely longer lifespan with the more expensive options. If you're less concerned about the money or want extras, the cheaper tips will serve you just fine. For sound isolation, pick up some foam tips. For frequent on and off, silicon will be much more convenient. For a workout environment I suggest foam tips, as they offer the better isolation in public settings and a tighter fit to prevent an ear falling out. I personally use foam tips as my daily drivers, as the added isolation is key when walking to class or listening in a crowded dining space.

Very comfortable, but a few caveats to know about
Bought a set of wireless earbuds, and one wouldn't stay in my left ear no matter what size silicone tip I tried. After some research I saw memory foam tips are recommended to help this situation. And I found these highly rated with a great price. Pros: Definitely helps keep my earbuds in my ears! Much more comfortable for wearing my earbuds all day. Cons: None so far Caveats: Minor is that none of the three sizes is perfect for my ear. A size in between the medium and small would probably work for me. Not a fault of these tips, and a fault of my genetics. The shape of these tips makes my earbuds stick out from my ear further than the silicone tips do. So make sure you try all three sizes in each ear to get the one that works best to keep your bud in your ear. Also since they stick out a bit it seems like the passive noise blocking is not as good, amd the audio is slightly muffled for me. This is not a huge issue for me as I'm not an anal retentive audiophile looking for the ultimate sound experience. I just want music in my ears while I work. Last caveat is that I have to take the tips off to charge my buds. This isn't a fault of the product. After all the case was designed for the stock tips, so these taller tips would be a space issue in that design. I simply remove the tips while charging, and put them back on to use my buds. YMMV

These made my inexpensive ear buds sound AWESOME, but there is one problem to consider
I purchased two pairs of wireless ear buds, TaoTronics Sound Liberty 79 and Skullcandy Indy True Wireless, but found that I wasn't getting good bass with either pair because none of the various sizes of the rubber tips they come with would create a good fit in my ears. Before returning them, I decided to order these memory foam replacement tips to see if they would make a difference, and find that the difference is amazing! ! The sound, particularly the bass, really came alive in both pairs after switching them out. The only problem is that when you put any size of these tips, the earbuds no longer fit properly into their charging/storage case,, which is necessary for them to charge (and the top to close). I was able to get the TaoTronics earbuds to close into their case with the smallest size of the tips, but not the Skullcandy's deep, cylindrical case. Just a quick review of the two earbuds: The TaoTronics are great quality, a great price, and will still (just barely) fit in their wonderfully compact case with these replacement eartips. They have fantastic call quailty, but I don't like the sound for music. The Skullcandy have decent call quality, and sound wonderful with the replacement tips, but I have to remove the tips to charge them. (And the Skullcandy case pertty large and feels like cheap plastic compared to the TaoTronics case). The beauty of Amazon (and also ebay, where I purchased the Skullcandy) is that you generally get free returns, so you can actually order several different brands, then just keep the one you like best. Myself, I've decided to keep the Skullcandy and deal with the hassle of having to take the tips off to charge them because I like their smooth, warm, full sound. Since this is such a hassle, you might instead want to go with the style of earbuds like the TaoTronics, where they fit into the same kind of case. But regarding these replacement memoryfoam eartips, I love them. And they come with six pairs, two of each size. They make all the difference in sound quality, and when they wear out I will definitelly order again.

Took me a whole year to wear out the first pair and move on to the second pair. After a year of use the sponginess was no longer like a memory form and more like just a foam. The gloss allows it to stick inside your ear way better so it would never fall out, but as it wore off over the year. I've used other brands before. The foam is light and not dense. There's room to give. Soft and won't hurt after long hours of use.

I was worried it wouldn't fit my Sennheiser momentum and I was right it didn't. Wouldn't fit in the case either and sounded worse than the factory ones but I was able to easily trim it with a knife to make it the same size as the original ones, they still slightly sound different but passive noise isolation is better, don't come out my ears easily and they fit in the case too. Been using the first set for few weeks now and still going strong. Only con, wish it was easier to clean the surface that holds on to dirt compared to the silicon ones.
