The Future of Finance: The Impact of FinTech, AI, and Crypto on Financial Services

This was VERY informative and lays out the history of fintech and evolution of cryptocurrencies and potential applications in the future.The concept around why crypto was created, applications for financial service institutions and the role large tech will likely play is fascinating. Henri and Fabrice are affectively saying that Facebook, Google, Amazon will be the future of fintech as opposed to fintech companies or banks launching products given the distribution and trust built to customers. This takes a very complicated topic specially around the regulatory and government policy side and speaks in digestible, layman terms.

This book is very uneven. The first couple sections of the book are quite basic and won't be useful to anyone already familiar with fintech. For those unfamiliar with either finance or the basics of modern IT infrastructure it is probably useful. But Then the cryptocurrency section will not be useful since it will be way over such a person's head. This section goes much deeper than the first two parts of the book. The section on AI was somewhere in between. Bottom line, I learned very little from this book and I'm not sure what audience would find it useful.

Beautifully explained with both data as well as extrapolation into the future. For a techie exploring the enigmatic world of Fintech this book will provide the necessary vision and data.

Very useful book for anyone looking to understand the basics of Fintech, Bitcoins and Digital Assets.

Very good book for anyone who wants to understand FinTech, crypto or AI and their impact on the future of finance. I found the section of the book that explains the basics of Bitcoin and Blockchain particularly useful. The authors teach in universities and thus the book is written in a textbook style that explains the different concepts clearly and in an easy to understand format even for someone with no background in these areas.

The book itself is great, however I am sure whether this is just a copy of the original but graphs are only in black and white which makes it difficult to follow percentages as colors at explanations are missing. All of them simply vary between light grey and black. This book is about analysis and showing results in graphs, it doesn’t make sense to keep everything black and white.

A really comprehensive work starting from the basics but getting into great details as well. Also, despite the complexity of the topic it is relatively easy to understand. A must read for everyone who is in the financial services industry or just want to get up to speed in the “magic three” of Fintech, AI and Crypto and their impacts on the future of the industry.

Great book! Very well written and easy to read. A must read!!
