My clock does not chime the number of hours. how do i fix that? i can't get the pendulum to work - how to fix that? not a great buy.

Here are the instructions: Remove all the four batteries. Set the time at 6.50. Insert the 2 batteries in the time box. Press the red button on the chime box to reset the clock. Insert the 2 batteries in the chime time. The clock will strike 6 times, indicating 6 AM. After 10 minutes, the clock will strike 7 times indicating 7 AM. Now you want to set the correct time. Say it 4.10 in the afternoon. Move the minute hand clockwise to the desired time of 4.10 PM Note as the minute hand passes each hour, it will strike. Hope this helps with setting the correct time.

1.how much assembly i had to do

Really none at all. Aside from hanging the gold piece and setting the clock. The only thing you have to “assemble” is attaching the gold pendulum.
