Good quality. A reliable product to see the tiny print. The material is good enough as crystal and is not breakable.

Presentation, weight, nice...I was very surprised. I thought this was going to be smaller, and not nearly as substantial as this thing really is. This will have to stay on my desk and not in my purse as I thought it would. But, no worries as they included these cute little freebies, including a couple of thin magnifiers I can take with me, so win win.

I bought this to look at things with my toddler. We’ve enjoyed looking at leaves, insect, wings, feathers, petals and other things we’ve found in nature. It hasn’t scratched easily and has held up to a toss or two on our wooden floor. Great for our purposes and the magnifier cards were great too

Help see small print.

My mother has glaucoma and has trouble reading the smaller print. I tried magnifying glasses and other items before I found this and gave it a try. She loves it. Small enough to hold and move across the page.

I bought this to replace a little handheld magnifying glass with a light on it. This is so much better! I don't have any problems reading the super small print on anything anymore! I am so glad that I found this while looking for something that worked better than what I had. I got one for my husband too and he loves it! I definitely recommend this to anyone having trouble seeing the tiny print that some companies don't want you to see.

I purchased this magnifier after my eyes started having issues seeing details in objects. The 5x magnification seemed nice as did the light. Unfortunately, neither works well, and mine NEVER worked. Here is why. Because of how magnification works, you need light for the object you're going to magnify. This "Dome Magnifier" solves that problem by including a button and a light ring to shine directly on the item to be magnified. Magdepo's version uses two CR 2016 button batteries for the light ring inserted into a chamber with a tab. The button on the outside of the dome turns the light on...but here's the first problem: when you let go, the light will turn off. This forces you to hold the button down as you are interacting with the object being magnified (likely text or a book). Not a big deal, you think? Wrong, if you have arthritis in your fingers. Squeezing the button down can prove painful over time. So while it is helpful, having to hold the button is no good. 3 stars "Ease of use". Please consider making one that has some logic in it to hold the lights on while using. I know this not because mine does this, but because I had to disassemble the ring to find out why the light wouldn't work. After I purchased the item this February, the light never worked. And bad on me for not contacting the seller to resolve it, but I was happy to be able to use it for some items. Well, fast-forward to July 2021 and - after getting work glasses - I decided to find out what was wrong. I found out that if I squeezed the batteries and the tab inside, the light would intermittently work, but it was very touchy. So I took the ring off to see why it wasn't working. As you can see from the photos, there is a bad solder job on the tab. It isn't a great design, the way the tab holds to the batteries, as there is a LOT of pressure on the tab. So I'm not surprised it would fail. Unfortunately, in my case, it failed before I was able to use it. They need to improve quality control. The close up photo shows a bad solder not only on the battery tab, but also on the activation button. 1 star for brightness and - because the unit failed - 1 star overall. This is too bad and - while I may try to fix mine - I'm concerned for the obvious QC problems. I am technical enough to fix something like this, but not everyone is. While I like the idea, if you decide to go for this, make sure to take it easy on the tab when replacing batteries. Also, understand the switch is NOT an on/off switch like a flashlight, rather it is on and off when released. I hope that Magdepo will reimagine this idea and make improvements. If you don't need a 5x magnifier, Magdepo has an excellent dome "crystal glass" magnifier that allows light in from the sides.

Reading without eyeglasses is now possible - just place this directly over the text. This can also be used if text is so small that glasses alone are not enough. Is substantial, but is only a concave piece of polycarbonate - that's only a problem if you want glass instead.
