Bread Loaf Bags, Pack of 50

UPDATE: May 20, 2014: I am updating this review as I baked another loaf of bread, allowed it to cool, then cut it immediately and it fit into the bag perfectly.Previous Review:The bags are very nice, but way too small for my homemade bread. The bags, flat, are 8x18 inches. My bread pan size is 5 1/8 wide x 11 inches long, and my homemade bread is 3 1/2 inches tall. I hope this helps others to order the proper size bread bags. No ties were included, but I did not consider that an issue as it wasn't advertised with ties. I couldn't say "I love it" because I can't use the bags for the purpose purchased, but the quality seems sufficient, and if your loaves are smaller than mine then order these bags and use your own ties as the bags would be suitable.

I was a little concerned when they came. They were thin. But they are very sturdy. My bread lasts longer. I use the long "sandwich size" loaf pans for my bread. I wish they were about 2 inches longer, but they are certainly usable. Doesn't take long for a few slices to disappear and then the loaf fits fine. I love that they are wide. That way if your bread sticks out over edge of pan, which happens, the loaf fits. I will certainly order again. And do recommend them. I read reviews about how they were shipped. They came to me folded neatly in another bag. Came fast. I am so happy to find these. Thanks Kitchen Krafts.

We decided to go all natural and making homemade bread was one way to do it. We bought these bags to go with the new bread slicer and knife and the only problem we have is that we did not order enough! These were sturdy and eventually as we/I got too lazy to make bread on a regular basis the bags never seemed to cease having purpose in our lives. I will be reordering again when next we decide to go all healthy, probably around the holidays. Everything stays clean and fresh looking as well as moist and tasty.Enjoy, we sure did.

I just received these bread bags today, so I haven't used one for storing a loaf of bread yet. However, I did remove a bag to take a look at it. It is made from a thicker plastic than most bags I've purchased, which I was happy to see, and looks plenty large enough for a nice loaf of homemade bread or a dozen rolls. The bags were packaged fairly neatly in a plastic package (nothing fancy, but adequate for plastic bread bags), and not wadded up as some customers have found. Much to my surprise, after reading several reviews, was the fact that there were twist ties included with the bags! The seller seems to be reading the reviews and is trying to improve the packaging and content of their product. What a wonderful concept! I will likely purchase these bread bags again.

The price for the pack of 50 bags was the initial reason for this purchase, however after receiving them, the bags were a lot thinner than expected (along the lines of a fold-over sandwich bag). The bags were used to gift wrap sweet and savory loaves of bread for a holiday bake-off, and although they held up well to packaging without any rips or tears, the feedback from the bakers who used them felt they would not do a good job of preserving freshness - some bakers opted to double up the bags for this reason.Overall, they are quite generous in size (we actually had to trim some down), are inexpensive and would be good for packaging/gift-wrapping food items that will have a quick turn-over (ie: budget party favors, bake sales, popcorn, cotton candy etc). If you are looking for a high quality bag, and/or to make an upscale presentation, this is not it.

I bake bread from a bread machine weekly and needed something to put my bread in and these were the perfect size for my needs. Most bread makers bake a tall loaf of 1 1/2 lbs to 2 lbs and most bread bags don't fit this tall loaf size, but this bag did and with room to tie it as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a bread bag for a tall loaf of bread or other baked items that are 6-8 inches in height or width this bag is a perfect fit.

I have been buying these bags for years. Great for bread but I also use for other kitchen needs including as a shaker bag for spices. High quality and priced reasonably.

I purchased these bags to use with our home-made bread. They are no different then the bread bags purchased in the stores and they keep the bread fresh for over a good week or two. They are light and do the job. I received the shipment in three days as expected. Only one suggestion would be to have tie wraps included. I would definately purchase again.
