Eliminated my neck pain!
I am extremely happy with this neck roll. I sleep on an adjustable bed with my back and head raised which helps with my sleep apnea and acid reflux. The problem I had with sleeping in this position was when I used a traditional pillow. The pillow pushed my head forward causing neck pain. To correct the problem with my neck pain from the traditional pillow, I increased the angle of the bed which eliminated the need for my traditional pillow. Eliminating the pillow entirely was a huge improvement but it still wasnโt perfect. I decided to try a few different neck rolls to support just my neck without pushing my head forward. After trying several types of neck rolls I found the best one for me. The Sachi Organic Buckwheat Neck Pillow. After adjusting the amount of fill in the neck roll, it provided me the neck support I wanted. Besides the fact that it doesnโt retain heat, it doesnโt push back against your neck. It simply supports it. What I mean by not pushing back is, memory foam and other type fills used in pillows work like a spring. When you apply pressure to them, they push back. With this neck roll, once you get the fill adjusted to your liking, it just provides support. Pleas keep in mind that you will need to make minor adjustments each time you lay down because the buckwheat will move around. Lastly, the neck roll is very well made. I hope this review helps others who suffer from neck pain!

Best Pillow I've Ever Owned
I absolutely love love love this pillow. I wish I knew about it years ago. I hope to buy another one soon. One reason I love it is because you can take some of the buckwheat out and conform the cpillow to what is most comfortable for you. With the extra buckwheat I can make another small piฤบow to carry with me when traveling

A little firm but you get used to it. No more neck and shoulder pain!
I was between the Buckwheat and Millet. The Buckwheat can be a little firm but I got used to it after a couple nights. I rotate between this and a cervical pillow throughout the week. So far it's helped my existing neck and should pain and I wake up with no additional pain. You can remove some of the buckwheat to adjust for you neck's sleeping height.

I love this pillow more than words can describe.
I got this pillow to compare with a standard rectangular shaped buckwheat pillow, and this one is the one I sleep on every night. It's nice and firm but has enough give that it keeps my head and neck at a comfortable angle. I dont think I had ever known what it was like to completely relax the head and neck muscles until this pillow, either. Something about the way it holds the bottom of my skull where it meets the neck is So Comfortable, and yet also makes my muscles relax while stretching them. It's so effective that I use this pillow as a muscle roller for my back as well, so not only am I sleeping better, but my neck pain is no longer an issue and my back pain is easily fixed. Truly a little miracle pillow. Also I bought one for my sister and she bought me a second one, so it was good enough that I now sleep with TWO of these little guys, one for the neck and one to hold. Next time I travel anywhere, I'm bringing one with me. Heck, I might even get a third as a lumbar support pillow for sitting on the couch

If you want firm neck support this is great!
I often have serious neck pain issues. It seems like I've tried every type of pillow going, and none have really worked, until this pillow. I'm pretty sure that if you don't like firm pillows you won't like this, but if, like me, you like firm support this pillow is perfect. The size is compact, which I find very helpful as it is easy to squish into the positions where I need the most support. The buckwheat does make a subdued sound when moved, but I really find that rather pleasant. This great pillow has helped relieve my neck pain substantially.

Neck comfort solved!!
I have looked for the perfect pillow since a car accident in 1988 which left my neck really uncomfortable during sleep. I could not handle hot "marshmallow" pillows anymore--my doctor said I needed a neckroll bolster style pillow to sleep with. Over the years that's what I've used, but they were always stuffed with polyesther fiberfill. Which went flat within a few weeks, which caused the neck pain to return. I was forever re-stuffing the fiberfill, but it would bunch up in knots and lumps which, of course, was difficult to sleep on. Always not quite comfortable, sometimes my only relief came from an inflatable camping pillow that I could blow up to extreme hardness. Well, a friend at work told me about buckwheat pillows. Kind of like bean-bags but better. Conforms to your shape. What the heck, I ordered this little neck pillow and OMG, I slept like a baby the first night! Wow! It's now been 2 months with this delightful pillow and I've never been happier! I have ordered more buckwheat hulls and have added about 2 more cups of them to the pillow for the extra firmness that I love. PERFECT! So adjustable, no lumps or bumps of fiberfill, so damned comfortable. You must try this if you've ever had a neck injury. Also, Bed/bath/beyond has neckroll pillowcases that fit this one perfectly....I have several left over from my fiberfill days that work great. I love, love, love this pillow and will never have to search again for the perfect one for me. Highly recommended. Thank you, Sachi Organics, for creating this wonderful product.

Great pillow for back and side sleeping
I have arthritic neck issues and have woken up periodically with a "crick" in my neck over the past several years that would involve the muscles in my shoulders and upper back, cause headaches, and last for days or a week or two. The nurse practitioner at my PCP's office recently recommended I get a firm neck pillow, and I settled on this one and have not regretted it so far. I've been using it for about two weeks now, and have not woken up with any crick-in-the-neck issues yet. In fact, this is probably the best my neck as felt in a while. I did find that the hulls in the pillow settled after the first couple of nights and flattened a bit too much for my comfort, so I added more hulls (I fit 4 more cups in there!), and now it's at a good firmness and maintains a consistent height for me, with only a little "give." Also, I alternate between back-sleeping and side-sleeping throughout the night, and have had no problems with either on this pillow. The only problem I've had is with wearing ear plugs and side-sleeping: I wear ear plugs to drown out my husband's snoring, and a few nights of laying with my plugged ears against the pillow starting causing some pain and discomfort in my ear canals. I've had to get used to sleeping more on my back or in a part-back/part-side position. I think the ear plug problem would exist with any very firm pillow, so this is not a complaint about this particular brand. Finally, I did cover this pillow with a zippered allergy cover (I have dust mite allergies) and a regular pillow case by putting the pillow in the bottom of a case and then rolling it up in the remaining fabric of the case. This has worked fine, although I may try sewing myself some pillow cases for this pillow sometime. Overall, I'm very happy with this product. Hope this helps!

Was good for a moment
I've been looking for a very firm neck pillow to help alleviate pain from my neck and shoulders. I came across this brand and thought I'd try it based on the reviews and description of the product. I've had this pillow for a couple months now and enjoyed it the first few weeks of having it. The pillow was very hard and more firm than I expected, which I loved! I needed the support and for my neck to be in a comfortable position to prevent pain and spasms. After several nights of using the pillow, it started to lose its firmness. I fluffed the pillow as directed from the instructions received with the pillow. It helped for a moment, but started to go flat. It was no longer supporting my neck and my head was starting to slide down the pillow. I'm a back and side sleeper, so either position, my neck was no longer being supported and my neck pain got worse and then I started to develop a new pain from using the pillow. I've also realized the width of the pillow is too big for my neck, and the length of the pillow is too short to transition from sleeping on my back to my neck and vice versa. I don't use the pillow every night any more, but use it sparingly. I just use a few different types of pillows (varying in sizes and support) to help with my neck when I sleep at night, which has been helping so far.
