Bought this to upgrade my '03 Harley Road King carbeurated version with 19K miles on it. It was a perfect fit, replacing the stock paper filter. I have put about 400 miles on my bike since installation and I did notice more power at the higher RPM's and I can now get 53 mpg if I keep her under 65 mph. Before, my best mileage was 50 mpg. Went on a 300-mile poker run last weekend and my 88 ci stock bike easily kept up with the bored-out 95s, and I got better gas mileage than them all. When they were putting in 3.2 gallons, I only needed 2.3 gallons! The best part about this filter is that you don't have to clean it for 10,000+ miles, and you never need to replace it. These filters are easy to clean with the K&N filtercharger kit, which contains a specific soap and oil. I have a very large one on my pickup, and it took only 10 minutes to clean, then 6 hours to air dry (you could speed this up with a hair dryer), and then 5 minutes to spray with oil. My truck was back on the road the next morning with a like-new, superior air filter! Oh, and you save about $30 on this filter by ordering from Amazon! This filter will pay for itself in gas savings, more riding fun, and no replacements to buy if you keep and enjoy your bike for a while. For you lucky new bike owners, it does not impact your warranty. Highly recommended!

Fit well and good quality

Fantastic product, bike already runs 100% better, got a little bit more goose to it too now that it's got a good air filter on it, metal part comes painted a rhino line-ish black not silver as shown BUT IM NOT COMPLAINING looks clean and good if you decide to get rid of the factory air filter cover. Bolted right on no issues, and came with the rear gasket as well

Easy to instal on a Harley. KN makes great filters, as I have used them for years without a problem. I think they are a little over priced, but you get what you pay for. No problems.

K&N makes the best filters for what seems like everything. I even have one on my furnace for the house. Why? Because I know they pay for themselves. Keep it clean and keep using it 👍

This air filter does NOT fit my 2007 Harley Davidson heritage soft tail motorcycle even though the description says that it does. I purchased this filter about 45 days ago and just today, took my cycle and the new K&N air filter to the mechanic for a spring tuneup. When I went to pick up my bike, the mechanic says that it doesn’t fit. Sure enough, this hd 1499 filter is flat on the bottom and the one that I need is round. Amazon won’t let me return or replace it. So I’m out of luck.

Bought a k&n air filter for my Harley since I’ve been installing them in all of my vehicles I’ve ever owned. They last a really long time, save you money in the long run since you just buy 1 and instead of buying another one all you have to do is clean it/ wash it, oil it and install it. I’ve never had to replace one of my k&n filters and some filters have lasted over 20 years
