Great product
these can arrived with slight damage. But it has an upside if you buy from a reputable vendor (eg ships and sold by amazon) .Mine came slightly bent back at corner of flange only like yours. I called amazon they gave me a choice of return and replace at their cost, or $20 credit. I took the $20 credit and two whacks with a hammer made it perfectly flush before install. 2. People complaining about width are incorrect on size issue. 14" is correct width for install on 2x4 16" US standard on-center studs. ALL stud bay devices like this by -- all makers -- are 14 to 14 1/4 " for a reason. the bay of a 2x4 (1 1/2 to 9/16 x 3 1/2 nominal/actual) means 3/4" of each half of the stud is inside the 16" on center or an actual bay of 14 " 1/2 inches. No standard bay is more than 14 1/2 inches and they can easily be 14" if the studs are slightly warped or not put in precisely. so 14" is the proper width dor a product that goes in them -- as you can easily add a bit of wood to shim it. It is WAY easier to shim than to deal with removing studs and moving them over. 3) The lag screws are garbage. but in a way if they help you from cracking the studs which on many homes will be dry and brittle. Think of them as a canary in a coal mine warning, if they strip, your pilot holes are not wide enough. If you try and do it with better screws and no pilot holes you may crack your studs 4) I drilled a few small holes at the sides of the back and have mini bungee cords across about 2" from the top of the rifles, they can just be slipped in and out under that and it keeps them from falling out. this was easy after installation. this was good for me since to fit three one rifle is upside down. 5) it can be installed upside down if you need door reversed. 6) Mine is in a place where a utility panel could be expected., I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M8UJUEM It may not fool an electrician, but it will make it look less like a safe and more like something less interesting and less notable to painters, maids, the kids friends, etc 7) Users should know if turning the lock is difficult to lock it, don't force it, but open and see if something is in the way. If you force it locked may be a bear to unlock

Love it, if u read the description well and need a light recessed cabinet this is the product for u
This product is well made sturdy and looks like it’s worth a lot more than listing price, this is in no way an alternative for a storage safe and is definetly not fire rated, it can be easily defeated by a determined burglar with the right tools and enough time to do his thung... the pros are: 1-Sturdy enough to keep fire arms out of the reach of children as long as you have the key hidden, i personally have it hidden well close by but it would be impossible to find it for a child, my child anyways, i also installed a magnetic door contact in the inside of this safe and connected to my alarm panel and programmed it as 24hr silent alarm zone so even if the system is disarmed and someone manages to open it i will be notified within seconds ... i also have a hidden bypass switch for the alarm for when i need to open it in regular scenarios like going to the range or getting one of my handguns for everyday conceal carry, and in case of emergency i dont use the bypass seitch and police will be dispatched when i open it for self defence and that will act as a panic button. 2-the key makes it easier to access fire arms in case a need for self defense come up, easier than a safe anyways. 3-the flush mount and recessed design make it easy to hide, i personally have it in my closet hidden behind the suits and blazers, The combination of home alarm and this safe will leave a burglar very short time to find/defeat this safe to access whats inside of it. 4- this cabinet will easily fit a couple rifles and 2 pistols and a couple mags and the small shelf can be used for passports or some ammo or pistol mags or some cash maybe Cons: 1- only one color available 2- the shelves are tricky to install and are not as sturdy as the rest of the cabinet 3-thats it!

Ok, but can be difficult to install.
The stack-on in wall cabinet is OK for the purpose I got it (to keep the kids away from the explosives). It is well built, fits right-inside of a standard wall (proper width and thickness) and covers up small mistakes if you don't get the hole exactly right (there's about a 3/4 in lip around the edge). The shelves are nice and sturdy once installed. The lock is easy to use and solid. Those are the pros. The cons for me are: The shelves are not designed to be installed with a rifle also stored inside (you have to modify the shelves to give the rifle room. You may notice the pictures support this, only showing the small shelf installed if a full-sized rifle is in the cabinet). The keys are (IMO) way too large to keep on a keyring (I fixed this by grinding off most of the key with a Dremel). Finally, when it comes to installation. The install is easy... if you can find a wall in your home that doesn't have something in it. This was not an easy chore in my home (turns out) and three holes later I finally found a spot where (again by modifying the cabinet pretty heavily) I could put it in the wall. Knowing what I know now I'd probably opt for a small free-standing model. My advice, if you like the idea of an out of the way in-wall cabinet like I did, go ahead and cut an exploratory hole before purchase (large enough to see up and down in the spot you would like to put it). You may find, as I did, that there's nowhere to put the darn thing without a lot more work! If you have a spot and it's free of wires/pipes/switches/receptacles/etc. I'd say go for it. Good luck!

So easy to install, one corner was a little dinged up when it arrived. If you purchase this item, use your own screws to install or use a Red #8 Robertson bit as the screws will strip. The manufacturer should package this item better to help protect it better.

Product did come with slightly bent corner But was easy to straighten. Quality good Lots of shelves. Really only fits 2 guns with scopes but that’s exactly what I needed so I’m very happy with it.

Fairly easy to install and actually look to me not unlike a large fuse panel box. Installing this in certain locations (say a maintenance room or such under your stairs, a furnace room, or the like) may give you more camoflague than if you were to cover it with something. Easily enough space inside for two or three long guns (depending on the type) and a couple handguns or such higher up on the shelf. with the number of shelves that are available (it comes with three large and a small) you could turn this into any number of useful configurations to lock up any number of different items. They are pretty much exactly as advertised but I had a few secondary issues. First off, the first one I received was damaged. The bottom flange was bent at each corner (one almost 90 degrees) preventing the unit from being able to install. My replacement was damaged on the actual box of the "safe portion" that would contain the items once the unit is installed. It had been bent and severely dented high on one side and low on the other. This I was able to fix, so I did and kept this one. Amazon was great about trying to make good on this and I feel the issue is with the manufacturer and the way they package this product. Second, the screws they send for installing it. Well, how can I put this? The screws meant to go through the safe to secure it to the studs or such in your wall are made of...and I am being generous here....MAYBE an aluminium alloy. They are tissue paper weak. My drill (set on low torque low speed) turned the head of the screw into a featureless bowl before I even realized the screw was not going in. The next screw I tried, with a hand held screwdriver, was pretty much the same before it was half way into the wood. Since these are supposed to be the things securing the safe, and since two of the six screws needed were now useless, I tossed them all and repaced them with bolts I had in my garage. For security, and for the ability to possibly remove the unit one day, I HIGHLY recommend throwing the screws that come with it away and buying strong bolts. Third, simply put the installation of the shelving is exceptionally difficult to accomplish as the same screws that mount the safe to the wall also must run through the shelving. This means that you are having to mount the shelving in tight quarters and there is almost no clearance between the shelf and the hole. Now, this was complicated for me as I used a different bolt that the screws that came with the unit (the smaller screw heads would have had more clearance) but the tight quarters would still have been an issue. All in all, for the price, I would: 1) Buy one again if I needed one, but not online. I would try to go and see it in a store where I could examine it for damage before taking it home. 2) Buy different bolts before even attempting to install it.

Cabinet itself is decent quality. the shelves suck and the fasteners are made of cheap metal and strip immediately. I would buy another one but wouldn't use the shelves/fasteners provided.

Pretty funny but just like every other review I also had a bent corner! Easily straighted with pliers. the hardware wasn't the best so I just used a handful of wood screws. Very discrete and holds my full length 300 and 1 other rifle along with a few other odds and ends. I'm very happy with it.
