Door Stud Heavy with Infinite Spacer - The Original Door Installation Tool

I have installed Commercial Doors for over 40 years. They are heavy and often need correction because the metal frames were not set correctly, as we all know. I learned techniques to save my back over the years and discovered a different manufacturer of these door installers last year. I fell in love with them but they were not very durable. This manufacture is phenomenal! Durable, very adjustable and have a solid feel rolling around. I highly recommend this one. Worth every penny!! Don’t put yourselves through not paying the price!

I ordered the commercial grade for 400 bucks and boy was the build quality cheap. I work on commercial doors all day everyday. The cheap tabs that you insert the shims into broke on the very first door 😂. You really can't make it up how crappy this thing is. Go buy a 100 dollar one somewhere else it'll probably be nicer than this thing. I could see this being great for a cheap bedroom door but if you are doing doors that weight 200+ pound doors STAY AWAY .

The pad on one side of both units appears to be removable, but the attachment device is different and inferior to their smaller model. The problem that presents is as you try to slide the unit onto a 2 1/4" door (which is tight) this pad slides out of place and becomes wedged between the door and unit, making it very difficult to move. This caused a rip in one of the attachment flanges, which exasperates the problem, and will likely only grow worse. This unit has been used twice so far, and it is difficult to slide onto 2 1/4" doors, but the doors were not finished so at least it did not mar that. Other than that it is a very beefy unit and works well with heavy doors.
