Low price… high value…
Scandi grind knives excel on thin blade stock, the thin stock and taller blade really aid in this blades performance. Very slicey. Sheath retention is medium well but a ranger band or large rubber band can be used as an added layer of retention. Not at all an indestructible knife but far more sturdy than it feels. I have the carbon and stainless model and I use the stainless more around the house for a low maintenance user. A great domestic knife, with outdoor capability. You’re not going to worry too much if anything happened to this knife because of how inexpensive and available these are, plus they can handle some abuse as long as it isn’t extreme (any knife can break). Great steel with a great heat treatment, thin stock make this super easy to sharpen. Mora have been making knives for a long time and know what they are doing, at under $20 this is a must have.

Best All Around Fixed Blade EDC
I am a recent Morakniv convert. I still love my Essee and Spyderco knives but living in the PNW I decided I needed to add some Stainless Steel to my collection and Im pretty much EDC'ing this Pro S and or my Eldris every day now. This is the second one I bought because I got a little crazy with modifying my older one and needed a new one. So here goes the review - First of all, this is not full tang. Secondly, I do not consider myself a "Bushcrafter" but I do practice a lot of woodsmanship. I got turned onto Morakniv a while back after watching a friend process a large Elk with this very knife. It just made sense for that task, stainless steel so its easy to clean and no contaminate oils and a plastic sheath that is easy to clean and resistant to mold and stains. I every day carry this knife for a variety of reasons, I will list those reasons in the pros and cons below. Pros: Low price (I do not use the word cheap because they are not cheap they are low price) The cost to benefit ratio is astounding Good solid steel Wicked sharp out of the box Easy to touch up with stropping block Nice blade belly and tip Grip/ handle is really tacky and feels good in the hand Finger guard is great Very un-assuming- NOT TACTICOOL super knife looking- I can carry this every day without issue in most situations because it just looks very un-assuming and not "SCARY". It is a tool and it looks like a tool. The blue handle and plastic sheath just makes it look "friendly" and its Swedish... so it has to be friendly right? Sheath - This is going to go in both pros and cons - - I like the sheath because it is really easy to clean and take care of. It also has a lot of attachment options. I run a piece of paracord through the top and tie it to my belt and clip the clip to my pocket so I have a combo dangler / belt clip. I m not a fan of carrying it on my belt directly with the clip because the clip bends easy. Durable as any knife Ive owned. I carried my first version of this for a year and I put that thing through hell and it only had to be re-profiled once because I got too crazy with the edge on a piece of bone. Easy to maintain. Stainless Steel - Great for rainy weather, does not rust and easy to clean / dry and is food safe. I live in the PNW and I was sick of oiling and de-rusting my knives. Cons: I generally like the sheaths for their ease of use and carrying options but I would just love it if there was a little less flexibility in the belt portion. I feel like I immediately over stress and get stress bends right when I use them directly on my belt. I fix that by doing what I mentioned previously but it is still annoying. The bottom of the grip on this knife is not conducive to "bushcrafting" tasks for a long time and you get some hot spots on your hand if you use it for an hour or so. The spine is rounded so I had to file it down with a bastard file to get a good spark throwing 90 degree spine. All in all one of my favorite knives to use and own. It gets daily carry use just about every day that is casual clothes. Use: Daily carry, woods carry, hunting, fishing, hiking, food prep

This has to be the best fixed blade knife for the money
This has to be the best fixed blade knife for the money. Blade came razor sharp. Some people complain about these sheaths, but more do they want? It fits well with a satisfying click, holds the knife firmly, comes out smoothly and can be clipped on anywhere including a belt without taking it off. I wanted the red and black handle like the Pro C to match my Eldridge, but for me it has to be Sandvik stainless steel. I have to say the nice blue color has grown on me quite a bit and looks good with the red anyway. I also own a craft line morakniv for my handyman tool bucket and I really like how much more width the blade has on the Pro S. This is a hearty knife that I would certainly trust for work or outdoors. I also own a Kansbol and it is the better knife. However I honestly wish the kansbol has a sheath more like the Pro S. The kansbol is super secure in it’s sheath just like the Eldris, but I kind of like the quick draw of the Pro S and being able to clip it on to anything is great too. The Kansbol also excelled at food preparation, and has a ground spine for Firesteel, but of course it’s quite a bit more expensive. This is the perfect knife for your tool kit, camping gear, emergency kit or the like and $11 with free shipping? This is the most mora for the money. Though I sure wish they made a classics in Sandvik.

First Impressions, Morakniv Craftline Pro S
This is a first impressions review of the Craftline Pro S by Morakniv Today I received 2 of these Mora Pro S knives. First, they arrived a day earlier than the earliest predicted date and in good condition. Thank you for the great customer service! Now, on to the blades... The sheath retains the blade even when its held upside down, and is constructed of a black plastic. There is a drain hole in the tip of the sheath to allow rainwater or other liquids to drain out of the sheath. The sheath attaches to you by way of a belt clip with the option of pushing the sheath down onto the belt (open bottomed belt loop) as opposed to having to thread the belt through it every time you wish to carry this blade with you. The belt loop is a part of the sheath and cannot be easily substituted for another attachment method, but the price is right at under 15 bucks!! I plan on drilling 2 holes in the sheath and threading some paracord through those so i can tie the sheath directly to my belt, or backpack. Also of note, the sheaths are stackable (The knob on the front side fits into a groove on the back side with locking tab, so it is possible to carry 2 blades "piggybacked" on each other.) Morakniv has a reputation for producing a good blade at a price you'll love. The Pro S is no exception. The handle is comfortable to hold and is made of plastic. There is enough texture in the handle's finish to give you good grip. If you wear bigger than an xl work glove, the handle may be a bit small for you, as i do wear an xl glove and it fits me with very little room to spare. The blade is Stainless Steel, with a Scandi Grind on the edge. Let me say, this blade is sharp enough for almost anyone right out of the box! I shaved off a few arm hairs as soon as I opened it up. The spine of the knife is not finished to 90 degrees for using a ferro rod in camp, but a flat file and 5 minutes of your time will surely correct this. At this price, its one to use hard and mod to your taste! Overall this blade has me impressed for the price. Its light, inexpensive, has a reputation for quality, and my GOODNESS is it SHARP!! What more can you ask for? Just buy one and thank me later!

Superb light general purpose knife
Everyone should have several Moraknivs! Remarkable value for quality construction and very sharp blades. I have a Garberg, Companion HD, and several Companions. This Craftline Pro S is the best balance of compact size and good sized blade for general use. Very nice plastic sheath. I have XL sized hands and the grip is big enough for me. This is my new tool box and yard work knife. I plan to buy a few more Craftline knives to keep in various toolkits: camping, truck, handtools, tackle box, etc. Obviously at $14 this is not a heavy use, pry bar survival knife. But it is super handy and sharp and will do 90% of whatever you need a knife for. And at this price I can ensure I will have one wherever I might need it. Being very lightweight I think Moraknivs make good backpacking knives. The sheath is more secure than some of my older Moraknivs. Nice to see they continue to improve all aspects of their knives over the years. These are great knives for cutting rope, cardboard, plastic, carving wood, cleaning fish, preparing camp meals, making a fuzz stick or wood shavings for fire making, etc. I’ve used other stainless Moraknivs while boating and sweating heavily on hikes or working and leaving them in tool boxes unattended for many months and never had any rust (live in rainy Pacific NW). Very easy to sharpen well and easy to care for.

Really big bang for your buck
Update: Bought more of these. I use them around the house (several different models), keep them in vehicles for emergencies, have them stowed in gear bags as backup/loaner knives and give them as gifts. Since they are so comfortable in hand, are fairly durable and cheap, rust resistant and are easy to sharpen, they are great first knives, especially for the young ones. All of mine have even grinds, sharp edges and perfectly finished handles. The sheath retains every specimen I have purchased solidly with a good snap into it, and you can hang it on any button protruding from your outer wear in cold weather instead of fishing around for it hanging from your belt under your jacket. What’s not to like? They are a great choice for a light, smaller stainless blade with a full size comfortable handle. Hard to add much more to other reviews. Great basic steel and good build in a quality knife at a great price. Why buy sketchy Asian knives when you can get a solid Scandinavian tool for just as cheap! This is a great first knife. It’s also cheap enough to have multiple tools stored around - in the kitchen, garage, all your vehicles and in your bug out bag. Buy a couple.

Morakniv a great buy
I really like the revamped Mora knives a lot. The sheath fits very well and is secure and thick and the belt clip is excellent. The handle is grippy and comfortable. Comes very sharp right from the box. My only complaint is that the back of the blade (opposite the edge) should be better finished. I bought 3 kinds of Moras, this one, the Companion, and the Heavy Duty MG (which is high carbon not stainless steel). The other two have a well finished back, so I don't know why it is not so on this one. It is not a big deal for any reason except cosmetic. All of the knives I got are very good quality and very good knives for the money. Don't ever expect to get a hundred dollar knife for less than twenty bucks, but you can still get a good tough knife with a very good sheath. The old leather sheaths on the lower cost Moras were pretty thin, but sewn and riveted and so workable; these are polymer state of the art in retention and protection. This knife is the shortest and lightest of the 3 I bought, would be very good for backpacker use. Never trust a folder to be as tough as a one piece knife. They aren't. The Swedes know their steel, so no worries there.

It's a Mora, so you know you're getting a quality all-purpose knife.
Wonderful value for a Morakniv! Very sharp, as you would expect. Looks beautiful. And you know it's a quality made blade. Great for any get-home / bug-out / hiking / camping bag! All purpose knife and a great value. I got a couple to give to the nieces!

A great and cheap knife
What can I say, it's a great low cost knife in stainless steel, sharp when new and with a solid sheath with a drain hole. This one is not a full tang but it is a partial tang which I believe is 50% into the handle moulding. This knife isn't designed for beating down on such as battening wood (in order to split wood for a fire) so the partial tang is more than adequate. The blade it fairly thin so the chisel grind does not impair slicing with this knife. Overall a very good knife from a well established and respected company which won't break the bank if you happen to lose it. Thoroughly recommend. Other knives I use are Hinderer, ZT and Busse.

Tall blade really make this knife a better choice for primary.
I work on boats in salt water, I used to live on boats as well. I’ve had this knife for over 10 years, it’s on my belt whenever I set foot outside. It’s been with me on two oceans across North America for over a decade, I use it as my primary, mainly for scrapping and light prying. The tip isn’t bent, but has rounded off over the years, a far cry from the very sharp pointy tip it came with. I never bothered restoring the tip since it would be back to round within a few weeks given the use of the knife and I prefer it that way, less prone to unintentional poking and nice predictable scraping curve (paint, caulking, oxidation, etc). I do carry a very sharp folder as my secondary so that’s another reason why I dont bother with the dull tip on the Mora. One of the best feature of this knife is the sturdiness of the tall blade, which I haven’t come across in other knifes. The combination of the height and heft, all the way to the tip, quality stainless steel, good handle with finger guard, proper sheath and balance between blade and handle dimensions make this knife unique. The knife is easy to sharpen and will hold a great edge through most cutting tasks. I bought several more of this exact knife over the years as gifts for family members as well as work gear for my employee. I have lots of other knifes and I’m very hard to please when I comes to choosing a knife, regardless of price point. Among many factors, such as comfort, style, features, etc, a knife has to be practical. There’s a lot of knifes that I like but I don’t buy because I know I’m not gonna use them on the daily, regardless of price point. This knife is everything I need as an outdoor trades person needing a work knife and the price doesn’t do justice at how good it is in accomplishing the daily work. Truly an all around knife at a very affordable price point. Shame not many retailer carries it, because the taller blade really makes a difference compared to the other stainless mora knifes.
