Excellent resource for Jo
Excellent resource for my kindergarten aged homeschooler. We use an online based curriculum for math and language arts and this workbook is perfect for adding handwriting practice.

Love the jokes
My son loves this book, he does a page a day to get his letters and handwriting good or better. I love the book bc it brings me and my son closer

Only a few pages are sentence writing.
The pages that show the funny phrases and then plenty of lines below it do not make up the entire book. These pages are only a few at the back of the workbook. The first pages are tracing letters and then writing the letters. Then tracing words and writing words. There are also pages showing where to start the letters with arrows but not like a normal worksheet. It takes a whole word and then uses arrows on every letter and doesnโt spread the letters out so the child can make sense of what each letter is showing. Again, the last pages are where kids can write out the funny sentence on their own and practice their handwriting. So if that is all you wanted, you only get a few pages of that and then blank lined sheets at the very back. It is nice that there is a joke at the top of every page, but the writing practice set up is a bit to be desired. School workbooks do a better job. My kid likes jokes so I thought this would encourage more handwriting practice and sentence writing. The ad needs to show an example of each page set up.

Makes writing practice fun.
My first grade grandson is struggling with printing, but loves reading and especially loves jokes. We have just started using this workbook, but he loves the jokes at the top of each page. The subject of the joke starts with the letter he is practicing. Later in the book he will be guided into writing the punch lines. He is very happy with the process so far.

Engaging Little Book
My 5 year old loved this book. He looked forward to reading the jokes each day. Made for easy busy work as he already learned to write in preschool, but needed more practice. When he finished, he was a little bummed and read every joke all over again. Excellent for learning new letters, reinforcing concepts, and some fun puns thrown in to entertain them.
