Worth it for needing a connection quickly!
Good for what I needed. Becoming a real audiophile and basement music producer I guess so I have all these different synthesizers and devices I need to plug in - and I run into compatible cable issues because of decades of different technologies... So this was worth it, came quickly, rich audio running through it - nothing to complain about.

Not working well with original BOSE 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable
My setup is EVO4 --> This adapter --> BOSE 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable --> BOSE QC35II headphone. The problem I am seeing is that the socket does not fully contact the headphone cable, resulting a bunch of noise and the sound is often mono channeled. I have to turn the cable to a particular angle to get good sound, and usually need to adjust multiple times to have the cable stay at that angle. Even if it sounds okay now, it actually generates a bunch of noise which is present in the recorded audio (and can heard by people in the web meeting). Luckily I have an audio extension cable which seems securely contact with the socket, and the BOSE cable also securely contact with the socket of the extension cable, this is how I work around this issue. Given I planed to use with extension cable, I don't bother to replace/return the socket, but would like to share the experience. Update on 10/14: To make it look nice, I purchased another adapter with right angle (link below), and turned out that does not has the contact issue, thus just issued a return. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S2RHQFC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Manufacturing tolerances are too negligent, i have several high-end audio cables from reputable brands which all gave me the same results. whenever the wire weight on the adapter sounds cuts and a channel is lost. i tossed it in the bin not even worth returning. should've put 5-10$ more and get a decent one right off

I use it with some very old HiFi, very very good gear; Perfect. I am concerned about plugging and unplugging into the existing phone jack. Repairing this old gear can be problematic, this little guy stays plugged in. If it wears out I simply get another. It's also a solid connection.
